With its eastern border following the state line between Georgia and South Carolina and the Savannah River, the small neighborhood of National Hills rests just north of the city of Augusta. Hot summers and mild winters typify the climate of the region, while National Hills itself finds fame in its shopping and business districts, which the city has praised over recent years for reinvigorating the economy of the region. Though a little more expensive than the rest of the city, National Hills nevertheless provides an economical alternative within the State of Georgia, with good schools and plenty of local amenities. Mid-rise apartments with incredible amenities and single-family homes abound, there are plenty of rental options in this riverside reprieve.

Property Ratings at The Glen at Alexander Apartments
After reading the previous post regarding the same issues I’m experiencing in my apartment, I felt compelled to also write a review and warn potential renters from The Glen at Alexander. I would not recommend this place to anyone not even my worst enemies. It started with a leak in the wall between the adjacent apartment. It has been close to two months and my issues have not been resolved properly. I had to call and request that my carpet be replaced because it had black mold. Their initial fix for the problem was to steam clean the carpet and paint over the mold on the wall. We are still waiting for the carpet to be replaced. Now we have mold growing in other rooms of the apartment. There has been no sense of urgency on their part to resolve our issues, additionally it has taken two months for the property manager to contact us directly. The mold has damaged our furniture and personal belongings. We have not been able to use that room in two months. Normally I’m not one to write reviews, but this situation has really been frustrating because for months now we have been dealing with this issue and the Glen has absolutely failed to properly handle and resolve the situation. Do Not Rent Here!
Property Manager at The Glen at Alexander Apartments, Responded To This Review
We have been in contact with the occupants of the apartment and had vendors working to resolve the concerns over the last couple weeks. The manager also walked the apartment this morning to confirm all needed repairs and work has been completed to all parties satisfaction. We hope this has resolved any and all concerns you have. If any further concerns arise, please do not hesitate to contact us! Thank you!
I had smooth transition here in Glen. The Management has nice staff. The Property Manager is approachable and hospitable. The Apartment complex location is great and safe. The Interior design is modern and has a huge space. The best part is the facility is Dog friendly and has a designated park. I highly recommend The glen at Alexander, a wonderful place to live in.

Hi, Geraldyn. We appreciate the rating for The Glen at Alexander, and are glad we could provide you with a great experience!
The basketball court rim is broke and no net; been broke for a year. The dog park is really a dog 10x10 outside. They charged me $125 dollars, because I didn’t pay the rent by the 5th. The first was Thursday and they charged me that Monday. They said “we give you til the 5th and doesn’t matter how many business or non business days that is.” The. On the 6th, I get an email saying be evicted if I don’t pay by the 12th. Never been late paying.
Property Manager at The Glen at Alexander Apartments, Responded To This Review
We appreciate your feedback and are saddened to hear you feel this way. We do have pictures posted of our dog park and do wish we had space for a larger dog park but in order to do that we would have to take out the basketball court. Unfortunately, it has been difficult to find a replacement rim for our current basketball goal but we are expecting the replacement rim and net to come in later this month so that it can be installed. All leases list a rent due date of the 1st with a grace period through the 5th of the month to allow for weekends or holidays for money to be deposited or transferred. If we do not receive payment by the 6th of the month, our system automatically posts the late fee listed in your lease to your account as well as blocks payments on the website unless they are with certified funds just for that one day. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. You are able to pay online today or bring payments into the office. Also, if it helps, you do have the option of setting up a recurring payment through our online resident portal that can be set to draft out on the 5th of the month. Should you have any further questions regarding how to set up the recurring payment or other questions or requests, please contact our office directly for we are happy to help.
I moved to Georgia for work and the staff made the transition super easy. Any question I had someone was there with a solution. I would recommended the community who are looking for a new home.
If you’re a decent human being looking for a decent place to live then you have stumbled upon the wrong apartments. 1) These apartments are outrageously expensive for what they are actually worth. The ceilings leak, the floors creak, the walls are SUPER thin, the appliances are low grade, the pool is usually green from algae overgrowth, the workout rooms are filthy and the equipment is always broken. 2) Our apartment reeked of marijuana due to our fun neighbor who couldn’t figure out a way to disguise his marijuana odor. 3) The front office and the property manager are lazy and do not care. That’s it. They don’t care. About anything. 4) Domestic disturbances? Yep!! They have plenty of those. 5) hidden fees......hidden fees everywhere. I really hope this review saves someone a lot of money and time one day.
Beth and the team at The Glen at Alexander are terrific. They are very responsive and a pleasure to work with. The grounds are very well maintained as are the apartment interiors. I highly recommend renting at The Glen at Alexander.
Facility was A when I moved here. Now it is a D-. Many of the amenities listed are not in fact available. Not all apartments have stainless steel appliances and hardwood floors. Some appliances are pieced together from several other appliances. There is NO controlled access to facility and pool. Car wash area rarely works. Trash compactor is often down for weeks at a time. Trash pick guidelines not adhered to; trash piles up in breeze ways is a problem. Pet waste not picked up. Leash regulations not adhered to most pets run freely. Pool and residence a major party place especially with non residents. Frat house mentality. Supposed to be single family residence. Several units have multiple families residing. Several units are rented to up to four college students per unit limiting parking space. Basic maintenance such as air filters replacement has been eliminated. Fire inspections have stopped. Management puts off complaints and only seeks to pacify. Very much turning into the slums.
High ceilings, ceiling fans, new carpet, very well maintained apartments, and theyre pet friendly. Maintenance responds very quickly, same day most of the time. There is an awesome pool area, an impressive gym for an apartment complex, a dog park, tennis courts, a park area with grills and a swing, a playground for the kids, even a car wash station! It's only about 10-15 minutes from downtown, so close to the river that you can almost throw a rock into it, and close enough to Washington road that nothing is far away, but you don't hit that Washington road traffic. My only complaint is an insignificant one but there is a slight ant problem in bldg 1, but they have gone above and beyond to take care of it. The pest control guy has been spraying outside every week for about a month now, and he comes inside to spray if you tell the office you're having an issue. I haven't seen an ant in here in weeks! I would absolutely recommend living here
