I’m a current resident and currently praying that I find another apartment to move in soon. This place has been a nightmare. The part I hate the most is the ROACH INFESTATION. It started last summer when they were working on the breezeways in front of our doors. I started noticing the roaches in the kitchen, then the bathroom and they made their way into my bedroom. They have officially infested my router and modem to which i have video proof. My work equipment is currently at high risk as i FIGHT daily to keep the roaches from inhabiting it. I had to get a roach removed from my ear to which management didn’t care and they told me to contact maintenance. To which i filled out a veryyy lengthy pest control request stating the amount of Money that I have spent trying to rid myself of these roaches. I have spent a lot of money on pesticides roach traps roach sprays bombing. I even went as far as Roach powder that smells horrible and I keep having to lay it down because the roaches are not going away. I shouldn’t have to be coming out of pocket to spend so much money to read my apartment of roaches. The complex has failed to assist me in this matter because I have submitted multiple requests on roaches on my last request. I included a very detailed description of what happened the last time pest control came by and I requested that they bring something different to try and attack the roaches and get rid of them Guy came and told me that the apartment complex did not let him read the notes. Therefore he brought the same thing that was brought the last time to spray. This did not help the infestation has gotten worse. All I am needing is a miracle right now for an apartment to approve my application so that I can move

I have lived in this community for 3+ years with perfect rental history. However, when it comes to this property taking care of its tenants they are beyond poor in their responses. I've had many issues but the more current and worst was on 1/16 when a vacant unit above me pipes burst and cause major leaks and flooding in my unit from the kitchen to the balcony. I'm am STILL in the unit despite mold and mildew being visible. It took 2.5 hours to actually fix the leak to which the response from leasing was that 'we had several other units flood so you will have to wait it out until maintenance arrives". They 'replaced the cabinets' on 1/23 which was reupholstered onto moldy ceiling tile. Additionally they left my counters exposed without plastic covering so all the residue from the job is still on my counters and uncleaned. My carpets were fully saturated only becoming dry a week later leaving behind a mildew odor that over powers my home. On 1/25 the foam padding underneath the carpets were changed and stapled back down on those same water damaged carpet, but I was informed 'it's not maintenance responsibility to clean it' and they would have to access the damages later to determine the next step even tho they can clearly see and smell that the carpet is ruined! My kitchen light does not work as it was was flooded out and there is currently a puddle of water with a black and brown mold growth around it that has been left for over two weeks despite several maintenance visits and observations. The response was this would have to be 'assessed to see if anything can be done'. This is also the second time my home has received water damage from 3rd floor pipes bursting (winter storm 2021) and it took them over 4 months to replace the moldy countertops. I have many more poor maintenance issues but this is the worst by far. Save yourself the trouble and apply to another living community. This for sure will be my last lease with Glen at Highpoint!!! Don't make it your first!

DO NOT EVER COME CLOSE TO THIS PLACE !! I lived there over 6 years and left in 2023. This place is freaking old , rickety, ramshackled and worn-out !! Every year, Expect Not to having hot water for at least couple weeks in winter, Even though there is no ice/snow outside !!! Also Horrible maintenance team ! You have to submit a request several times, and finally walk in to office by person, So maybe they send a maintenance guy in the next few days !

Horrible foundation and structure, everything is super old and about to collapse ! Water pressure is a big joke ! The whole winter, You have to take shower with semi-warm water, No hot at all ! And any maintenance request takes forever for them to fix it ! Also the office NEVER responds the phone, No matter what time of the day you call, they DO NOT Respond, Period !!

I went to tour a 2b 2br w/ a sunroom. It's one thing if there are bugs, you can take care of that on your own, but there was an actual pair of underwear in a bathroom closet. I didn't look too long to inspect if it was clean or dirty, but regardless it was a pair of underwear in the unit that is TOURED. If they can't even clean their unit for tours, it makes me wonder how willing they are to help you if you need pest control or maintenance. The deal they're doing is great don't get me wrong, but you get what you pay for essentially. Also, I got a peek at how much they are currently leasing at this point, they are only leasing about 70% of the total units they have, so the management is struggling to lease these units, and for good reason too, which is why the deal is happening right now. So if you are fine with finding extra underwear in the touring unit, or are fine with any of the other bad reviews about this place, then this place is for you!

They say smoke free, but I have had to close my vents because of all the tobacco, marijuana and drug fumes coming through the vents. Police, security and management do nothing about it. You have to stand at your door, airing out your apartment, even in the middle of the night; not a safe place at all. They painted right over the mold in bathroom. I was told appliances were new, but there was nothing new about them. Leak and cracks in window not fixed. Water leaks coming right through ceiling and bathroom vents not permanently fixed. Neighbors play loud music, boom boxes, in middle of night, rules are not enforced. Have bought many police reports to management concerning drug use by neighbors they do nothing about it. You don’t want your children here. It is a drug den, not a home.

My patio is held up by two-by-fours. As is the stairwell. I have lived here a year and it has been a terrible experience. This place violates so many codes and is frankly unlivable. The Glen due to poor management, terrible infrastructure, abysmal location, roach infestations, lack of care for their tenants, and complete disregard for their residence well being is not the place to live. Search elsewhere.

Management doesn't follow up with residents' complaints. They're very unprofessional, are not really concerned about the needs of the residents. Maintenance doesn't get done in a timely manner even if it's an emergency. It's just not worth the hassle living here. Dogs barking at night and poop on the ground all over.

The property was damaged May 2019 by a storm (never repaired) then hit by tornado October 2019. As of March 2021, most of the buildings are NOT repaired which is why you can move in for $1. Exterior walls are made of interior material.They are just trying to pay their bills. They don't answer or return calls. The turnover rate is high. Kids tear down wooden fence weekly. The parking is an issue and guests are limited and must register or get towed.

DO NOT! I REPEAT, DO NOT, LIVE HERE!! I haven't even been here a month and I am already forming an exit strategy. First, office staff is EXTREMELY rude. They will look down on you like you are scum of the Earth. Second, I've had to go into the office, who looks at you like you're scum, multiple times now to get my rent price adjusted! They are trying to charge $70 more than my lease agreement says. Lady up front rolled her eyes and told me she couldn't do anything and I'd have to come another day. Another day? Rent has to be in by a certain time or you're penalized, and I don't know about most people, but I have a job!! I can't just walk in and out of there at any old time. Places are old and dumpy, and the new renovated ones are assuredly overpriced. Save yourself the headache, find a better spot for yourself. These are trash.

Takes over a month to get repairs fixed in the apartment. They are roach infested the pest control is a joke and do not spray weekly, exit gate always broke, lines of car parked at the gate trying to get in due to not having gate access. Manager n assts manager are a joke. You can go to the rent office place a work order or going n place a work order but be ready itll be 30days if not more before they come and do repairs. Please take ur money else where but here

When I moved here, this building was roach infested. Maintenance do come fix things in a timely manner, but when the tornado hit, the apartments weren't really leniant with rent payments, and expected people to live in the apartment with no lights and no heat freezing cold. Didn't knock off anything on the rent, and threatened eviction if you didn't pay even though they weren;t livable at the time. I would not recommend this place to anyone. and since the tornado last year this place still looks horrible. However the staff were pleasant and they were just doing their job.

Please do not make the same mistake many of us have made. I’ve filed multiple maintenance requests to properly fix my ac, all of the gates do not work even though it says limited access on their website. Heartland patrol are giving out $100 tickets to residents because of an issue that the property manager won’t fix. You pay monthly for pest control but never see them. There is trash everywhere and honestly it’s not that safe. If these people would take the time to actually listen to their tenants instead of replying to every negative review than maybe you wouldn’t have so many bad ones.

First off the maintenace team doesnt know what they are doing my roof leaked for a month and I was told the 5 times maintenace worked on it it was repaired it was like pulling teeth from a child to get answers on what was going on i had to threaten them I was going to move out and call the city before the repair was done the put me in there model apartment witch had mold in it and I would rather stay in my apartment with the roof leaking than stay in the model the security gates has not worked for over a year I was told they was getting them fixed as someone hit them the pool has not been open and is discussing with nasty brown green water them most resent is I had a line back up and water flooded my living room I was told to put in a workorder online but the online system isnt working i reported this to them and still nothing done about it they also come up with fake charges to charge there renters I was out one morning walking my dogs and there was a naked man wondering around the complex and when I called there security and left a message there was no fallow up or concern so I called 911 and reported it when I asked the management team about it they said ok we can try and look into it then maintenance keys came up missing and we turned in there wasnt even a thankyou there is no telling how many unit keys was there before and to have them scattered around on the ground they have yet to change lock for safety reasons I am looking too move out soon and I have only been here a few months I would advise anyone looking not to even stop to look at these apartments

The maintenance issues that are currently outstanding are 12/08/18 Holes in the exterior walls of the patio, by patio door and railing. 12/08/18 Patio electrical outlet coming out of the wall 12/08/18 Plaster around ceiling fan falling off and cracks in the ceiling about the fan - this happened when the fan was replaced. 12/08/18 Exposed wires in the entryway closet above the door 12/08/18 Smoke detectors need new batteries 12/08/18 Living room vent cover is coming unscrewed - vent cover is falling off of the wall 12/08/18 Dining room outlet pulling away from the wall All of these were said in the portal to be fixed 12/13/18 none of them were done 12/16/18 I put in a maintenance request to have all of those requests put back into the system - they were put back in and then once again marked as completed 03/06/18 Day before signing my renewal - I printed off the maintenance request - highlighted the ones that had not been completed and gave the papers to Suky - still none of these have been done My AC has had to be fixed 6 times in less than two years 05/21/17 fixed on 05/23/17 05/27/17 fixed on 05/29/17 06/4/17 fixed on 06/08/17 05/24/18 fixed on 05/29/18 07/14/18 fixed on 07/19/18 03/31/19 fixed on 04/08/19 this one took a week and it was above 80 degrees all week. this also took place after signing my renewal My refrigerator has gone out three times in the past 8 months 08/19/18 Fixed 08/22/18 10/04/18 Fixed 11/14/18 - I believe this is incorrect but it is the date in the system 04/10/19 Fixed 04/17/19 This took a week and all of my food spoiled - this took place after signing my lease renewal 04/26/19 still not fixed as of 05/06/16 My roof has leaked three times in the same spot in the last 5 months 12/08/18 Fixed 12/10/19 12/27/18 Fixed 01/7/19 04/24/18 - Called maintenance at 1:18am - On call maintenance never called back. It being in the same spot this has led me to believe that the issue was never actually fixed. This is the second time that I will have to replace a heating blanket and other linens because of this leak. Along with the issues listed above I have had many other issues such as roof rats chewing a hole under my bathroom sink and that taking three months to fix. When I received my new appliances it was a month before my new dishwasher was installed it was just sitting in my living room for a month. No one in leasing ever answering the phone

I've had many great years here and the staff has always been friendly and helpful. I had to take the time to write a review and acknowledge them for everything they do. Just recently, I had some family coming to stay with me and I needed some things done to my place before they arrived. I was lazy and didn't submit the request online and kinda forgot about it. I stopped by the office to ask the team for help and guess what.....they called the maintenance supervisor and the next thing I know they tell me that they can do it before they arrive. Seriously! This place is huge and I'm sure they are backlogged with resident requests among normal maintenance. I'm so impressed with the team and the community they provide. Submitted an application in january and got rejected due to "criminal charges" found on my background check. Funny thing is is that my job requires a background check everyte we start a new job site and have never had a problem. Come to find out they got my social security number wrong on the application and i never got a refund or a resolution on getting an apartment. I called multiple times and only got an answer twice for them to just tell me i have to speak to a manager who by the way was never there. WASTED MY TIME AND MY MONEY!!!!

The Glen at Highpoint has been a great experience. Funny thing is that I've lived in the area for a long time but never lived here. I wish I had discovered it sooner! Honestly, a big part of moving here was the team in the office. They really made me feel welcome and took their time showing me around and explained how things work if I were to choose to live there. Now that I'm living here, I love it! My apartment layout is optimal and totally updated. It's modern and has tons of storage. The amenities are great, as is the location. My dog loves it here too, that makes me even happier.

Ran out of gate remotes, takes several attempts to get them to log your maintenance request. Then they still won't come to fix issues. I've loved here 2 days, the ac doesn't work at all amd I haven't seen a maintenance person 1 time. Also they will text you a fake maintenance website

This is by far a wonderful place to live. I honestly can say I had no real issues whatsoever. The grounds were kept beautiful 100% of the time. Overall management was very professional and prompt with getting back in touch with me on issues regarding maintenance or problems I may have had whatsoever. My neighbors were wonderful and also very friendly and for the most part the unit I lived in was very respectful. I know a lot of people in other apartment complexes are not very fortunate and have to deal with all kinds of ruckus and chaos, but not here. I would definitely say give this place a try. As I stated this was a very pleasant experience living here and I would highly, highly recommend.

My experience...... One year ago, I went to the office to ask for an apartment change. During this process, my deposit for it had already been made. I then went to go look for the key when it was time to move out and it turned out that my apartment was given to someone else... even though it was already paid for, by me. The manager then spoke to me and said, “I’m so sorry Reinaldo, no one put your apartment on hold and it has been rented to someone else. We’re going to get you $300 for the inconvenience of this event and for not proving you with a place as promised.” One year later I always go in there waiting for the money. But I digress... the apartment then that was given to me (because I already paid and they wouldn’t give me my money back) was on the third floor and the restroom looked like a college dorm with carpet everywhere, with a million doors, and with no locks on one. On top of all that, ever since I got here the place has been infested with bugs. They supposedly fumigate ever now and then so I didn’t see the need to say anything, but now those bugs haven’t taken over. So yes, expect to see me soon in the office. I feel like they gave me the worst place as last resort, because they didn’t have anything else to give me at the time just to make money off me, because they would t give me my money back. Then one money ago I also had a problem with my kitchen stove wasn’t heating up and still yet I’m waiting on someone to fix it. Then a couple of days ago (January 2nd to be exact) I received some notification with a “ticket” I had to pay. Stating that a bag of “trash” was outside my door. They said it was the second notice. Even though it was the first I heard of it. They charge a certain amount as stated on the paper with each notice with amounts to be paid, and the second notice was circled even though it was the first time I’d see anything like this. I was cleaning and was doing laundry at the time as well. So it’s possible the bag that they saw was my clothes that I was about to take down to go wash... but anything to make money right? It’s not like I was close to my car. Y’all put me on the third floor and a little understanding and patience to walk down to my car would be nice. This is a couple out of many reasons I will not renew here. I’m done and put it up with way to much. Just a bunch of thieves and unorganized at that.

*They pull you in with their beautifully decorated and updated model apartments, promise security cameras in all 'common areas' which turns out to be only in the area of the model apartments. *Fitness center looks nice, but hardly none of the equipment works. *They allow pet owners to let their dogs do their business all over the complex. Absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. *Trash is everywhere. Maintenance is a joke. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! CAN'T WAIT TO LEAVE!!!

I wouldn't recommend that anyone move here unless you like being ignored. I've been here for a month & items from my original walk through/move in list still haven't been addressed! The pest are outrageously out of control even with their so called pest control & they have the nerve to charge a monthly fee for this "service". I'm going to have to contact my attorney & the BBB to find out if I can get out of this bad decision since they can't be bothered :(

Have lived here 6 monhts, loved my apt until the water was contaminated, unheated, very low water pressure and the maintenance couldnt fix the issue. 4 weeks went by like this before i had to involve the BBB, consumer report channel 11 and 5 news before management hired plumbers. so they said. Still 8 weeks later nothing is resolved. Got a model apt across the complex my daughter and i can shower in but the issue is unresolved and now i cant get the district or property manager to address me. Contacted corporate we shall see!

The Glen @ High Point complex is a great environment to live in. Facilities are good and the pool, awesome. Neighbors are very friendly and seem to really enjoy living in the premises just like I do. This is my first move in to an apartment and my experience there has been great. Couldn't of found anything better than this. I'm very happy and plan to stay here for a while.

I have been a resident of this property for two years and I am currant about to renew for a third year. When I moved here it was called Falls At Highpoint, new owners just took over. But since I have lived here I can honestly say that I have not had any issues. Maintenance complete my work orders with in 24 to 48 hours. I always get a follow up call asking if the issues have been fixed. It is a very diverse community which I really like. I will say that some times not often you park a little farther away from your building. Although it is a gated community the gates are always broken. Luckily we have not had any issues with crime, at least not to my knowledge. I love the layout of my two bedroom apartment. overall I have been happy with my stay here.

Bought by a new management company May/June 2015. So far some cosmetic improvements to the grounds, refinishing a pool, etc. but how this will translate to rental prices at my next renewal... we'll see. I've been here two years now but if new management is going to drastically raise prices and I've got nothing to show for it, I'll be gone.

Yep. Moved here in 1988. This is the Glen at Highpoint on Markville Drive. Been through 4 management companies and have lived in four different apartments, and about to move again at the end of November for another year. I wish I could sign a 10 year lease here. The location is ideal. Near two major freeways and at the end of the street is the DART Rail system. There are several restaurants within walking distance. The grocery store is a half mile; there are lots of fast food and car repair places, etc. and all close. That was one of the main reasons I moved here -- the location. Downtown Dallas is a 15-minute drive from here. The grounds are well cared for. The staff is very friendly and maintenance issues are taken care of promptly. There are 7 pools here, I believe, a work-out facility, a room you can use for parties (there may be a fee associated with that), and the management office is stunning and has computers you can use there should you need to. There are fireplaces in every apartment, full size washer and dryer connections (and you can lease a washer and/or dryer if you do not have one of your own), pets are accepted (yes there is a pet deposit and monthly rent but not too bad), and you can pay for covered parking or use uncovered parking for free. Rent is reasonable. They are updating the interiors and installing granite in the kitchens, all new black appliances, and putting in laminate wood flooring in the living and dining areas, carpet in the bedrooms (again, I think -- I have been in my apartment for 12 years so still have all carpet). I have seen one of the updated units and it was stunning. Very roomy and you can also choose to have an outside patio (if you live on the ground floor only) or you get basically an extra room on some of the second and third floors. There is outside storage, and when I first moved here, I was unable to find any apartment that could fit my king size bed and dresser. This one can. You see people out walking or walking their pets on the street. There are other apartment complexes on this street, so you can basically make a circle if you feel like getting out for a walk. Ceiling fans in all bedrooms as well. Some apartments have built-in shelves in the living room; not all, however. If you live on the third floor, you get the extra high ceilings which is nice as well. This is home to me and I have lived here longer than any other tenant!!

I just recently renewed my lease and so glad I did. I have been on apartments.com researching apartments in North Dallas, Plano and Richardson and I got the best deal at my current complex. They just recently changed from Falls at Highpoint to Glen at Highpoint due to a new management company taking over. The new office staff is doing a fairly good job, they are still transitioning over and doing the best they can. I like it here because it is close to my work and to the grocery store, bank, etc...

I'm originally from Indiana. I came here and found the perfect apartments. They have six pools washer and dryer compensation, about four of them. They have two mail rooms, a workout area, and a business center. These apartments are gated and I feel really comfortable and safe here. I can go on and on about how they are really helpful and clean, too. I've been living here for about three years now. I love them.

I have lived here close to 4 years. Living here was not a surprise because of my previous work for time warner cable. As far as the area goes it's about middle of the road, you have your nice people and shady people. About a mile away though is where it gets really rough and some of that makes its way to our part of town. Luckily our apartments are surrounded by higher quality properties so that helps with the atmosphere. Unfortunately the gates are usually broken and stay open or people go into the exit. These are minor issues to me and don't bother me but to some this is important. Personally, my neighbors have been great. I also have not had issues with theft. On occasion you will get someone yelling at midnight or music played at 730 in the morning on Saturday. Let's be honest though, you live in an apartment with 200 people living around you, you should expect one-offs like that. The apartment itself is 565 sq ft. so it's small but I was alone when I first moved in. Everything in here was brand new due to a fire that burnt my neighbors and mine down. The staff is great and helpful anytime I had questions about my lease or parking. The absolute worst complaint I have is the response time and fixes the maintenance department come up with. It took 2 weeks just to have them come and fix my doors for my laundry room. Also, just recently I had them look at my a/c and the maintenance guy just brushed it off cause the air was cold coming out. I left the ac on all day long and it didn't go below 83 degrees. All in all it's been a decent experience. That being said I'm a pretty tolerant person for nonsense but I can also empathize with people that aren't as tolerant as me. If you are not, you probably wouldn't want to live here. For me, the price and the area was just fine.
