Situated in sleepy central Connecticut, Rocky Hill welcomes renters to a close-knit community. With a convenient location just 10 miles south of Hartford and 30 miles north of New Haven along the Interstate 91 corridor, it’s a popular place to call home for those who work in Downtown Hartford or the nearby Aetna headquarters. Since it’s also midway between Boston and New York City and just a short drive to southern Vermont, Rocky Hill also sees its fair share of tourists, who often stop to gas up their cars or get a bite to eat. The Connecticut River follows the town’s eastern boundaries, offering many warm-weather activities for residents just steps from their apartments.

Property Ratings at The Glenbrook at Rocky Hill
We moved into the Glenbrook last year and just renewed our lease for another year. We adore everything about this complex. The location is fantastic--it's near Cromwell Ave which is filled with incredible restaurants and practical shopping needs (CVS and Big Y within a few miles). Plus, it's within 2 miles of I91 and equidistant between the Berlin Turnpike and Silas Deane Highway. For us, the units felt even bigger in person than they looked in the pictures. It's the best size to price ratio we could find in central CT (plus so many included utilities!). When we put in a work order for our dishwasher, maintenance was speedy and effective. We almost never hear our neighbors, the building itself is very quiet and private. It's a very safe neighborhood, with a golf course across the street adding to its great outdoor appearance. There is so. much. parking!! This was another struggle to find among CT apartments, and so many other places will charge you for every spot you take up! I am always able to find a spot near my building, even when guests are around! Of course, I cannot forget to mention how great the balconies/patios are--an outdoor space is a luxury I didn't know I needed. Lastly, I want to show appreciation for the laundry room. Everything is able to be done via an app which is so easy and convenient! It's such a relief to not have to have a giant bag of quarters on hand, in addition to the fact that every building has its own laundry, so no driving across the complex needed in order to clean your clothes! Huge thank you to the Glenbrook and their staff--this was our first apartment and they made (and continue to make) living here a great experience.
The location is great, the area is nice and quiet with neighbors that don’t bother, on-site gym isn’t too bad and maintenance/management have a decent response time to any problems or troubles that you have. Trying to find the outdoor pool was a bit of a struggle but great place overall!
They changed management here and the new manager is rude and ethically questionable. If you want cockroaches and hidden fees this is the apartment for you.
Location is amazing, beautiful nature! But most tenants are behaving bad!!! Making picnics and don’t cleaning after themselves and MAINTENANCE DOES NOT CARE!!!MOST OF PEPOLE DON’T CLEAN UP THEIR DOG (leaving their dog things)!! Some people throwing dust from window under my window!!! Maintenance HAVE TO PAY MORE ATTENTION for that kind of stuff not just thing about get money
I had such a bad experience living here, my apartment had mice almost the whole entire length of my lease. If you choose to move here, be very mindful of mice, check your drawers etc. The apartments are nice but its not worth living with mice and management could have been more helpful in the situation.
I have never received such poor and unprofessional service. My apartment was infested with bees and the Glenbrook repeatedly told me there was nothing they could do about it. Each person I spoke to from the maintenance person to the property manager were completely dismissive about the issue stating “we all have problems. I am living without heat at my apartment”. Highly do not recommend! Trust me.
The leasing staff is very friendly and informative. I appreciate their honesty about the .pros and cons of the apartments in their given locations. The complex border I-91 so unfortunately most of the complex has a background noise of cars driving by. This is not great for people who want a quiet apartment but would be good for someone who likes some background noise. The apartments are carpeted and the clubhouse has a large gym with both an indoor and an outdoor pool which are pros. Some of the buildings smell a little funky in the hallways. Overall a cute complex but not was I was looking for
The apartments are set in a nice location, with walks all around. Responsible maintenance people, and we had only one difficult experience in more than a year. Keep in mind there are young families, and activity with it. You need to drive to all places.
This is my first apartment that I am renting and I have to say, it is amazing. I am near quite a few restaurants, some within walking distance, right near the highway, close to many businesses for shopping and at the same time the apartment is in a calm, nice area. Going from living in a rural area for most of your life then to a city for 5 years, this apartment is exactly where I want to be; Close enough to where you can easily go out to quickly get something you need at the store, but still have that calm surrounding when you need to relax.
I am a first time renter and I am thoroughly pleased with The Glenbrook at Rocky Hill. The grounds are kept very nice and the staff is so helpful. I have asked way too many questions, as this is my first time renting, and they have been very attentive and helpful. The one bedroom unit itself is the perfect size for a couple. The walls are thicker than I thought, I can't even hear my boyfriend talk from the other room. I haven't heard any noise from the other units, except for occasionally if the water is running. So far, I am very happy with The Glenbrook.
You won't believe it! Glenbrook is extremely clean and friendly; friendly with the individuals that reside here and the property workers. The complex stays in communication with everyone on property about events they are doing, wether its a pool party with a cook out, easter egg hunt, when fire department is testing alarms or when water may be shut off due to maintaince/ no hot water because they may be working on the boiler...etc( with a week- 72 hour notification, some times a month). The indoor and outdoor pool is extremely clean with continued maintaince threw out the day during season. Its a safe complex that has a main door you have to have a key to or get buzzed in. I would recomend this complex to anyone that would ask me.
