Property Ratings at The Goose Apartments
This apartment exceeds expectations for poor quality. If you looking for the worst apartment complex in Colorado Springs, look no further. This apartment features a broken hot tub, broken sauna, and much much less. Also included is a bunch of broken front gates, which they we claim qualifies as a 'gated community'. Also featured is an abundance of other advertised amenities that are misleading and downright, false. So, stay here if you would like to waste all of your money for an entire year.
This is my first apt and I have no complaints. Everyone is super friendly and I feel safe here.
Not a safe community. Not gated (it's been broken for over a month) so there have been many incidents that could've been avoided. I see more and more homeless going through the trash in the middle of the day! They sleep in the laundry room and I have seen many people sleeping in their cars parked in front of my building. It's ridiculous and the apartment is pretending there is no issue. Don't waste your money! They office is a joke they are very unprofessional. They don't care about the residents. There have been car break ins and more crime lately. Can't wait to move.
Very poor management. Not friendly or willing to help. Rent is too much for what you get.
Honestly, I wouldn't even give them a full star... A half star is more accurate. First off, they never answer their phones, you have to call about 30 times before they want to answer, secondly, they just go into your apartment whenever they feel necessary, no warning, no phone call, no email, nothing letting you know that they will be coming to replace/fix something, they just let themselves in whenever they please, even when you have a pet, thirdly, the gates never work, either they are constantly open or they don't open at all, and last but not least, no one in that office is ever pleasant or seem they even want to help you or just be nice, its always a hassle/inconvenience for them. This place makes me never want to rent an apartment again. i do not recommend this place what so ever.
I toured SO many apartments yesterday and thus wasvtge only property that left me with a good taste in my mouth. Everywhere else I went didn't even care to give me the time of day. The girl that showed me the apartment was so friendly and helpful and when we came back in a lady in the back office even came out to greet us and offer us a drink. I will definitely be renting here soon!

Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We would LOVE to have you here at Highland Park! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at 719-548-9300; we would be more than happy to assist!
I LOVE my new apartment!! I had brand new carpet when I moved in and the apartment was spotless!! There were even drinks in my fridge when I moved in!!! Im excited to be here while I'm finishing school.
Highlandpark's office hours are 9am-5pm. I arrived at 8:50am in preparation to move in. At 9:25am their doors were not open. As a new tenant I am very disappointed, I do not feel welcome, and I'm wondering if they are consistently late.
I don't even know where to start. Disgusting Property Dark Unclean Apartments Discriminating Staff Condescending Staff Poor Maintenance All around worst property to live in! I have been a resident for a year now and I regret everything about it. The rooms are dark and unclean. Upon our move in day, our apartment had stains in the carpet, stains in the shower, grafetti in the closet, broken counter tops, out of date appliances, the list goes on and on. The property owner and staff are the most unhelpful and rude people I have ever met. Earlier today our water was shut off (we had paid all our bills in fI'll three days early) so we were naturally annoyed. We called the leasing office 18 times with absolutley no answer when we had just seen the staff in person. After we finally got a ride answer from the male leasing agent, he told us that work was being done and he had gone door to door an hour ago to let everyone know. I wasn't home an hour ago and if for any reason our water was going to be shut off, we should have been given more notice then this. It's been well over 5 hours with no water, no shower, no toilet, nothing to fill up our dogs water bowl, NOTHING! After contacting the same "gentleman" again, he just shook is off and said to get over it and be patient... This is the most recent time we have contacted the office with issues and they are rude every single time. Issued Include: 1. Air conditioning broke in the summer (was not replaced for three weeks) 2. Noise complaints about neighbors (never addressed) 3. Water leak that we were being charged for (broken for 2 weeks) 4. Promised new countertops that we never got (October 2014) 5. No care for property 6. Broken Hot tub we are paying for (4 weeks) And so much more. In conclusion, if I can save one person the heart ache and misery of living in this property then I have done my job. The staff is disgustingly rude and the property is awful. I hope someone reads my review because this place is anything but home.
I truly do not know where to begin here…. I advise anybody in the Colorado Springs area to avoid being lured by the seemingly affordable prices advertised by Highland Park. Your money will support an apartment complex that lies to you, ignores your concerns, and cares solely about taking your rent. They will shut off your water and enter your apartment with NO NOTICE. After taking my dogs on a long walk this morning, I went over to the sink to fill up their water bowl. None of our faucets worked and we could not flush our toilet. Mind you, we paid our rent and utilities for September in full three days early, so there was no excuse for our water to be shut off. After calling the office, obviously upset, we were told “We need to shut off the water in your building for a few hours to do some work. Someone came by at 10:30 this morning to let you know and you didn’t answer your door.” REGARDLESS of if someone came by to inform us, it is absolutely ludicrous to inform your tenants the SAME DAY that they aren’t going to have any water. It has now been 5 hours and my dogs haven’t been able to have anything to drink. I also haven’t been able to use the restroom or take a shower. And guess what? I have called the leasing office 22 times to ask when my water is coming on and NO ANSWER. Both managers and leasing agents are liars and disgustingly rude. We were told before committing to the complex by BOTH the assistant manager and the leasing agent that we were free to switch our lease to month-to-month any time we needed. The agent specifically said “that’s why so many people love us. We are completely flexible!” Come to find out, 8 months later when I was offered a job in Denver, that the property manager had never heard of such a thing. Her response when I explained that her paid employees had informed me otherwise? “Well, we don’t honor those types of contracts. You’ll have to pay a lease break fee if you want to leave.” Due to the INCOMPETENCE of her staff, I have now had to commute to Denver 5 days a week to avoid paying over $3,500 to break the lease. When asked if I could set up a payment arrangement to cover my lease break fees, the assistant property manager used her favorite line and told me “No. If we did it for you, we’d have to do it for everyone.” Trivonda, the property manager, is not only inflexible and dishonest, she is downright rude and obnoxious. Kristen, the assistant manager, is no better.
I like the Highland Park Apartments. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Great value and they allow pets.
