Property Ratings at The Grace
Great location and new building. But unfortunately everything else is terrible. The management is horrible to deal with. Everything breaks and never gets fixed. Everything looks nice but was very cheaply installed and the quality shows. There is a TV on the roof that has never worked and one in the basement that is still not even hung up. You can even see it in the pictures listed for the weight room. All the door handles in the building are loose and make a ton of noise. I’ve lived in 100 year old buildings that have had less issues. My advice would be to look somewhere else.
First the good: The building itself and the inside of the apartments are very nice and feel like the luxury building it is. Tall ceilings, lots of light, in-unit laundry, great rooftop patio. However, those benefits often are severely outweighed by the significant problems with the building. First and foremost is the noise. While the building is right next to the train and I expected exterior noise, I did not expect the interior noise. People simply walking in the unit above me sounds like an earthquake and normal conversation and music are very easy to hear through the walls. Lastly, I could forgive those above problems with the building itself if not for how awful Kass Management has been. They are unresponsive, rude, and generally bad at managing the building. A few examples: - Originally upon moving in they gave us codes and an app to get in. One day they disabled the codes without any advance warning, leaving people locked out and without a way to get in other than our phones. It took numerous requests back and forth and 2-3 months for them to give a key. - When I signed my lease they were offering two months free rent, but it took multiple calls and resending them the signed lease documents to have the offer honored. - The gym is also the bike room even though they said there would be enough room for everyone to have a bike. The rooftop TVs do not have remotes. The main door doesn't always latch (a bigger security concern than codes), and they haven't wanted to fix it.
Nice layout and apartments but everything breaks and they don’t care to fix it. Way better value for your money elsewhere.
