Rent goes up every year, maintenance goes down, when they “upgrade” the quality also goes down. Used to be a nice place, now it is just ok- no w/d and ac/heat must be turned on by maintenance (which is offsite), currently freezing in my apt after waiting two days.

The Grand is a historic building and the climate control has been updated to improve our residents' comfort. We have also begun renovations to give this historic building a modern feel in addition to the stainless steel appliances in all of our apartment homes, wide open floor plans, fitness center, onsite laundry and fantastic location. Our maintenance team continues to be and has always been onsite.
I have lived here for less than a month. In less than 30 days my a.c. would not blow cold (it was nearly 80 degrees in the apartment), my heat would not blow warm (it was 40 degrees outside), and my water was randomly off for an entire evening/night even though there was no outage/alerts for my area reported. Every time an issue has been reported management has been rude and dismissive. I am already counting down the months left on the lease. Overpriced and terribly run. Location is the only redeeming quality.Find somewhere else to call home.

Maintenance is very slow. Lots of bugs no matter how many times they spray. Our ceiling leaks when it rains. AC is always going out. Water pressure is terrible. The list goes on and on. Bottom line, overpriced for what you get.

Please continue to communicate to our leasing team what has you concerned. Reporting leaks is especially import and so any time you can let us know when you experience that, we'd appreciate it. Please be sure to mention if you're experiencing a leak only when it rains or on sunny days too.
I moved in to this place a month ago when I accepted a new job in Chattanooga. First, the staff are top notch. They were extremely helpful throughout the entire process and made me feel right at home even before I signed a lease. Second, the actual unit is perfect for me. It's conveniently located in Southside with lots of restaurants, night spots and activities within walking distance. The building is a beautiful hotel that has curb appeal. My apartment has a great view of market Street. It has large windows, high ceilings and stainless appliances. From a cost perspective it is very affordable while offering high quality. I would recommend this place to anyone in search for an apartment in the downtown area.
