I had a sudden event at my apartment: the garage door spring failed. I found about it while driving in my car. I returned to the apartment (only about 3 miles) and to my amazement, the repair guys had already replaced the spring! amazing.

They did not change the screen door on the balcony and it is out of square and does not close properly.
Air conditioner Maintenance has always been very good. Never had to wait for repair. Air conditioner needed Freon. Also that day fixed the front door handle that hadn’t been fixed. Probably had been forgotten about. Replaced a kitchen light bulb.

Our water heater was not heating water. We contacted the office late morning and about 2 hours later a plumber arrived. He replaced the lower heating element in about an hour and heater repaired. Excellent response to our problem and short time to make repairs. Job well done.

We have lived here for the last 18+ months. Their response to maintenance requests has been timely and very responsive. Last weekend, on Saturday morning, we discovered that we had no hot water, our first emergency type request. We submitted our request at 8:30. The complex office opened at 10:00 a.m. and at 10:05, Chelsey called us to let us know someone will be by very soon. The water heater thermostat needed to be replaced and it was all done by noon!! Great job, Grand Legacy, you are the best!!!!

This place is only interested in making money ,management could care less about (some) people. Its funny you can't reach higher management to complain everyone has a boss however.... After doing some research CIP doesn't have a good reputation Its a no wonder the unprofessional communication has been able to go so long. Also the walls are paper thin i have been making the same complaint sense i moved in 5 months ago, kids running jumping and the dog chasing his toys, with no change. Even after a employee came and sat over here 30 minutes listening to the noise.......the manager called and said i was encouraging the jumping by hitting the ceiling when the noise had become unbearable. The snow removal gets a 1 its the worst, thick ice, snow not cleaned up very well.....and i just better not fall.! Seems we need a shovel after all.Dog waste is all over the place! The heater in the building is broken has been over a week it is SOOOOOOOO cold in this building , feels like the outside inside. Now we have to wait until Monday for a fix !? seems like a emergency to me!? What do i know? .... Its CCCOOOLLLDDD Dont Do IT!
If you are looking for low maintenance living keep looking. Residents are required to lay ice-melt and remove their own snow from driveways if it is less than 2 inches.
We've lived here for over 8 months now. We will not be renewing our 12 month lease here for numerous reasons. The apartments themselves are very cozy and beautifully designed. The kitchen and bathroom are very spacious and have beautiful features (we love the ice maker, in-door water dispenser, large and spacious size of the freezer, deep pantry, double sided sinks, etc.) The bathrooms have large tubs and tons of storage from cabinets over the toilet and under the sink. The hot water stays hot for a long time, and the cold water is refreshing as well. The washer and dryer are amazing too, and work quickly and precise. The only problem we've had was with the dishwasher. If you load big things, the water calcifies onto your dishes and the door hatch. We've had to clean out moldy water and hard water from the crevices before, but not on a regular occasion. The only complaints we have are that the walls are super thin, management sits on noise complaints, and dog waste tends to be in certain spots. We have had problems with our neighbors' dogs barking all hours of the day and night (sometimes 12-15 hours straight uninterrupted barking) and management didn't do anything about it until we involved animal control. Our neighbors have been here for 4 months and it's been an ongoing problem since the day they moved in and has yet to be resolved. We also hear our neighbor whom we share a wall with at night in our bedroom which can prevent us from sleeping or often times wakes us up. The amenities are good in this complex. They are currently building a pergola that will offer grills and a sitting space opposite the pool. The pool stays open past Labor Day and the jacuzzi is so relaxing. The pool fills up fast during the nights and weekends; residents are allowed to bring floaties so pool space diminishes fast. The clubhouse and movie theatre are rentable and I love the accommodations offered with them. The gym is a bit small for the size of the complex and I've noticed that some residents tend to hog machines or weights, making it hard to do more than one thing while visiting the apartment's gym. The gym TV's have also been broken multiple times and have taken them awhile to fix. Unless you get lucky in a quiet unit, then I'd otherwise skip this complex and spend your money on better insulated apartments and management that is proactive.
Just a word of caution to those seeking an apartment here. The Grand Legacy failed to inform me that I would have to open new accounts with MUD as utilities aren't included with the price of rent. They simply stated that I need to transfer my current utilities to the new address, which I did. This misunderstanding resulted in a $45 charge to my account as a penalty for MUD not being in my name. I called to appeal to have the penalty removed due to the misunderstanding and they denied it. This is after I have paid the amount due to MUD in full and switched the account over to my name. Also, why would I switch over electricity but not MUD "knowing" that I would be charged a penalty for it? Just be careful. They follow the letter of their contracts and not the spirit. Only out for number 1.
What a wonderful place to call home! From the small complex and personal treatment aspect, I can not say enough how much the staff cares. They are actively making changes that will make our community stronger and better, and I’ve been watching the improvements for over 2 years now. The Apartments are spacious, the grounds are nicely kept, and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly and know each of us by name! The jewel of it all is the fact that The Grand Legacy not only takes care of it’s tenants, but our property has a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, fully furnished apartment that is available to rent out to relatives and friends making out of town guests not only comfortable and happy, but able to have as much time as need for a more personal visit. Thank you Grand Legacy for feeling like home as we continue to work on things and improve.
This was easily my best living experience. Although I only lived there about 6 months, they were nothing but helpful. The staff is extremely friendly and were extremely responsive to my calls. They went out of their way to plan activities for residents every month. The apartments are very nice and quiet. My neighbors were extremely kind as well. I loved how close it was to the park and to shopping. The maintenance crews were great and responsive and they do a great job of clearing snow and making sure its not slippery. I wish that there were apartments like this in the state I moved to, 5 stars!!!
Living in Grand Legacy is great. Nice apartments, up to date, and great location. The prices are a little high but good size and responsive clubhouse staff.
This place is in association with CIP; they are only interested in making money and are insincere people. I moved in with a resident who had already been here for 6mo. We have now been here for 15mo total. The people in the front office are unresponsive to phone calls and emails. You have to contact them on a daily basis for them to do anything for you. They are short, rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional in communication. I wish I could get out of here sooner than I am, but am forced to stay put for a bit longer. Higher management is not accessible to issue complaints either. Don't be fooled by their niceties. They want you in and they want you to stay; they just want the bottom dollar. No one stays very long here. Our entire building has moved out since I moved in 10mo ago.
