Like most downtowns, you'll find walkable streets, terrific shops and restaurants, businesses housed in skyscrapers, and a variety museums and theaters. Unlike most downtowns, you'll also discover the occasional Iditarod, the dancing glow of the northern lights, and perhaps a moose lounging in the town square. Because this is Downtown Anchorage, and things are just a little bit different here.
As the city's central business district, Downtown Anchorage is home to some of the tallest buildings in the state -- the Atwood Building, a square structure of glass, is 20 stories tall. The tallest building in Alaska is the Conoco-Phillips Building, a 22-story structure that features an atrium with a food court and fountain that is open to the public.

Property Ratings at The Greenbriar
Good carpet, no mold smell and comfortable vibes! Samantha the Community Director did a great job showing me the Community and apartment. She is very kind, well spoke, and respectful. I Cant wait to move in.

We have lived here for 4 years and I wouldn’t live anywhere else. I have rented from weidner since 2012 my first apartment and this is by far the best one. The ladies in the office are awesome and so is Maintence. I don’t have any negative to say

Thank you so much for your kind words! We appreciate you taking the time out of your day to let us know how much you are enjoying being a part of the Greenbriar community. We are so glad to have you as a resident and look forward to hearing from you again in the future! Take care, Sarah & Emily
These apartments are basically just a giant overpriced pile of run down human excrement ran by management who just cover everything up and blow you off when there is the slightest issue. Everything from the parking to the bathrooms in this place are trash. Save your money and move under a bridge instead, you'll be much happier.

I love my apartment and the residents around me. I feel safe, comfortable and at home. I am not from Alaska originally but the Greenbriar team has done an excellent job accommodating me and getting to know me. They truly care about their residents and their team. Great environment. No complaints. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone! Thank you for everything that you do!
Fantastic management team. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a welcoming and supportive community.
Very friendly people, very quick to fix problems. Very clean apartment, friendly neighborhood
Greenbriar has Amazing staff, time and time again they have come forward with selfless care and understanding. Their proximity to all aspects of my professional life influenced my application for residency, their commitment to me as an individual, among many others in their services, keeps me as a loyal renter. I have not, in my entire life, had the rental experience of care and compassion I currently enjoy from Greenbriar
At first, the leasers were very helpful, friendly, and appeared to want to help - that is until you sign and are bound by a lease. The apartment smelled musky when first walked through, but the leaser assured us it was from the carpet cleaning (why we believed this, I guess was from an idea that it was the truth). After a month of living in it, the carpet reeked of urine which anyone who worked here conveniently did not smell, the walls are covered in urine spots showing up in black light, all plugs in one room did not work, and the heating vents pumped out caked on dust/dirt/grime/animal urine build up that filled our house with its burnt presence. All of these problems still exist while we contacted them multiple (I think three for each) times for help. They tried alleviating the problem, but when it was still not fixed, they forgot about it and have not fixed it to any degree. We're moving out with the same issues listed above after 12 months! All in all, its a gamble for anyone with allergies or breathing problems. They do not take care to clean properly (especially on walls where animals left unattended normally would urinate), fix items that need fixing, nor do they remember open maintenance issues. If you want somewhere decent and clean, keep looking.
