Apartment was not ready on move in date, leasing agent Vivian was rude, I entered the unit with a damaged wall, problems with heat still and mice

My apartment was flooded due to building pipes being old. I came home from vacation to my roof partially on ground, bed wet, and carpet drenched. Management company provided no hotel relief and did rush job to fix apartment not really checking work. Carpet in livingroom was still wet, patch work on ceiling still crack, paint dripping, and to seal the deal it was just found mold in kitchen cabinets and in livingroom baseboard that has been growing for 15 day’s that management didn’t think about checking. Overall management is slow, inattentive, don’t care which is sad for the big company of complex they represent.

While Henderson Webb (HW) is not an excellent community, but what community is? HW has shown that they care and do their best to accommodate their residence living in their communities. I've been with HW for nearly ten (10) years and I could list several issues I've encountered that were not pleasant, but those issues are extremely minor and has not impacted me in a negative way. If I were to list a situation I would like to see change, it would be the trash dumpsters located outside of my building at the entrance into the community. This gives the community a sore eye, but I'm sure the dumpsters are located in the areas that's convenient for all. The community is extremely clean, and the maintenance crews are so professional and good at their jobs, there are safe play areas for kids, and you never see individuals hanging around, outside of the buildings. The property is always clean and maintained by professional landscaping crews. I like HW and although I am working to relocate to my new home, Queens Purchase Apartments will never be forgotten. Queens purchase apartments are horrible I've been without our A/C for a month they keep coming out but never fix it this weekend was a heat advisory and it was 105 degrees inside my apartment.

I’ve lived here almost 10 years. Henderson and Webb has been good me. They helped me when I was in a really bad situation. They will work with you if you just share what’s going on.

I am pregnant due any day now and have a 3-year-old. Never got meshes at the bedroom windows when I moved in and the one in the living area was cracked so all types of bugs gets in, there was a wasps nest between that cracked mesh and the window which my mom had to remove because maintenance was afraid to remove said he's scared of wasps. Centipedes with a million legs on the walls bugs big and small but I don't know there names, small brown spiders just crawling but you gotta look carefully to see them. I’ve been here for months now and just received meshes at the windows 1 week ago. Was put on the exterminators they came and only sprayed my windows, now this morning my security camera alerted me of motion detected, when I watched it IT WAS A BIG ROACH just walking by the camera on the TV stand. I am so creeped out. Am scared bugs will crawl over my babies when they arrive or on my 3-year-old. I don't sit on my couch because am scared there are bugs I can't see. I hardly sleep because my skin crawls thinking that bugs will be on my bed ??

Toilet is always clogged and still nothing is done to fit it! Cooking on the stove is A complete nightmare! They told me that I’m cooking in a industrial pot that’s why it’s not working right, I have never heard or seen anything like this before especially when you are never late paying your rent every month . I can’t wait to leave once my lease is up. Oh did I mention that the customer service representative I spoke with made jokes about my pot ? Yea !!!!! Unbelievable

I have been living here for a year my apartment is nice size but the mice going run me out of my apartment. I had my apartment exterminated 4 time and this cause me to be out of work because I have to take everything out of cabinet and closet .I have mice so bad they are on my kitchen table and I have leave my bag of food in my car

Just moved in and and I was able to put my Maintenance request online! It was quick and easy! I put in two requests for separate issues and it was handled quickly! Before the maintenance man left I let him know I found a third issue and he informed me he would also fix it! I returned from work to all the work being complete the same day!

The call center and maintenance technicians are the best. They are experienced and I have never had to ask them to return to repair any requests a second time. They are professional and their work is neat and tidy. They always leave a comment card behind like clock work. Even during the pandemic with all the extra safety precautions, they never failed to deliver quality work in a timely fashion. Kudos to the entire staff. I enjoy living in Queens Purchase.

The Maintenance team are great guys. They are very professional and get the job done as quickly as possible. The Leasing agents have been the same. Nothing negative to say at all.

Ive been pleased with my stay. The apartment is very nice no bugs no loud neighbors.

i would like to say that maintenance do come in a timely matter. And i appreciate that. i have been there for 2 years now and the first year i had to keep calling them everyday or every other day to come too at my heat, so this year the same them have to keep calling them about my hear. the ac/heating unit are very old. i don't know why they won't get new ones. Since the pandemic, i would like to thank them for not letting us pay late fees and for not going up on our rent. i really like living there, especially the room are large thats what i like about them.

you get what you pay for. weird bugs but that’s expected so close to the beach. the buildings have old AC/hear systems so that can be an issue here and there. they charge a fee for almost everything so don’t get locked out lol

This place is wonderful! I wouldn’t turn anyone away from moving here! Great for someone who just getting their first apartment. Huge rooms and I love the bathroom! Been here a year already and I love it!

Overall, I give the maintenance department of Queens Purchase Apartments a 5??. I had two issues and both problems were taking care of in a reasonable amount of time. Now I'm looking forward to a fresh coat of paint on my apartment very soon! Evelyn Clark of Essex, MD.

Lovely apartment Good quality

I was very skeptical about moving here based on reading past reviews. But, where I came from desperation existed. Since the day moving in the Rental Office (Robert), Customer Service and My Favorites - Maintenance Staff/Painters, have been on point and courteous. The attitude and how you conduct yourself plays a positive result as well. My only downfall was not affording to bring my cat of nine (9) years with me. Besides the pungent food odors from neighbor below (10:30 pm to 5:50 am times vary); I sleep peacefully!

Whether done by phone call or via email, the maintenance work will be done to your satisfaction within 24 hours of placing the order. For emergency orders the response is immediate.

i have lived here for 1 year . Maintenance comes whenever it wants. Roaches and mice very bad. Customer service is VERY POOR but they want all there money on the 1st or each month

I constantly wake up to the smell of tobacco smoke in my apartment that comes from the vents from my downstairs neighbors. I have complained at least 3 times to the management company but they refuse to fix the ventilation, they have tried to placate me by changing the air filters and checking my apartment for holes but they need to renovate the ventilation system but are too cheap to do so! Also the noise level here is ridiculous. You better hope you have quiet neighbors or you will hear everything they do. I had to have a talk with the same neighbors who smoke because they would play their tv as loud as if they were in a movie theater and they would play their pornography super loud at 9 in the morning!!! Also this community is on a bus line but it takes over an hour to travel downtown!!! This place may seem affordable but it is not worth the hassle, don't move here or to any of the communities owned by Henderson Webb!!! They are all extremely old and outdated!!!

I hate my apartment. They don't fix stuff, the apartment need renovating! People smoke weed and sell drugs and they won't stop it! Want to move... It unsafe for me and my children!

My apartment is as good a studio as it is possible to be. Spacious, great size bathroom, SO much closet space. The management company is very good; super attentive to emergencies and is very helpful with any and all questions. Community is very lively, and all the neighbors are very friendly. It's a great place to live whether you are single or have a family.
