I love the location and the amenities that The Griff has to offer, however, parking is sparse and theft has gotten so bad. They need a gated parking lot or 24/7 security. The thieves have gotten smart about security patrolling at night and started stealing items from cars/apartments/mailroom in broad daylight.

Recently relocated from out of state and finding an apartment was remarkably difficult. We tried other complexes and had negative experiences until stumbling upon The Griff. Our point of contact, Niki, was pleasant, informative and thorough. The amount of back and forth and him keeping us up to date helped to streamline the process significantly. We moved in with ease. It was a wonderful experience in an otherwise stressful time. Now that we're new residents, we are delighted with the property and positive that we made the right choice.

I’ve been here for a month and have had nothing but a great experience! The staff is so friendly and helpful with anything. The place is clean and the people are super friendly. Not too far from anything in the city either.

This place is going down hill fast. Original management team was great. Super helpful at the drop of a hat, even knew you by name. Management that took over July-ish of 2022 can’t be bothered to get up out of their chair, and look annoyed that you’re there. Can’t get in contact with them either, not an email address to be found. The old management group you could email directly, and you’d hear from them within 24 hours at the absolute latest. They have Amazon lockers but haven’t set them up, letting the deliverers drop it in a pile by the side of it. Dog poop everywhere out AND IN the buildings, and maintenance nowhere to be found when there’s issues. Glad I’ll be moving out come October. Not to mention they think they can charge Manhattan level pricing because they have big patios. Not worth the money, not worth the time. There’s plenty better complexes nearby that are cheaper or about the same price.

After living at The Griff for 3 months we can confidently say we love our new home! Pros: The staff here at the griff are very helpful and kind. Unlike a lot of places in Charlotte, you don’t get the sense that they are out to get you or rip you off. The event planning team does a great job with organizing social events for the community which we have appreciated being new to the area. The common areas, lounges, and amenities are awesome for entertaining, working from home or just chilling. The apartments themselves are well appointed and updated. Maintenance requests are answered promptly. The property isn’t gated but it still feels very safe. The property is located in a quiet spot of an up and coming area within Charlotte which is very cool. You can get to Uptown or South End in 5-10 min. Cons: The population here seems to be more young professionals and recent college grads than anything. This could be a bonus for some but just something to be aware of if you are not in that stage of life. The parking situation is less than ideal. You can always find a spot for yourself which is nice but more often than not your visitors will end up having to park across the street. If you live in the buildings closest to the entrance of the Griff, chances are you’ll have to look for parking at the back of the property because parking at the front runs out quickly. Overall, The Griff is a great place to live, especially if you’re young and new to the city.

My husband and I moved into the Griff in July of 2021 and every step of the process was so smooth and easy. Even with the staff being pretty overwhelmed with a lot of interest in this brand new property, they handled everything swiftly and gracefully. Since living here, we have met so many amazing people and have loved all of the beautiful amenities. Some reviews noted the parking and negatively noted the area, but we have had zero issues and have always felt very safe. We love living at the Griff and living in the beautiful and historic west side of Charlotte.

We decided to move in together and after touring half a dozen places around uptown we settled at The Griff. It’s been about 5 months and we are super happy with the experience. The Griff is a great location- all the Uptown/Southend amenities but with Ashley Park and Westly Heights family feel. We are commuters so it is easy to get to and from 77 and 85. Food, coffee and a brewery are also just a block away. The office staff is super helpful. Madison made the moving in process super easy even though there were multiple move ins on the same day. Jada has been a quick study joining the staff and always has answers ready with our coffee for us anytime we need it! Nikki is always an email away - even when we know she’s not literally on site. The team goes above and beyond for us- even printing paperwork when in a bind or moving our packages in our apartment when on holiday. The grounds are super clean and well maintained (including landscaping that comes at convenient times). The complex itself is beautiful and functional. Our apartment is huge, with uptown views. We have valley trash and recycling available. My pup has free dove to play, plenty of areas for number 1 and number 2, and a dog run for off leash activities. Maintenance turnaround time is almost immediate (like faster than pressing enter and they are here). The team is also responsive to our feedback and looking to make this an enjoyable living experience. The apartment life team throws consistent events for us, each and every month. There is always a variety- food trucks, social time, party time, etc.; they hit all the bases!

The Griff has been a wonderful place to live. The location is about 15 minutes walking to Bank of America Stadium and just 10 minutes drive to the South End/Noda neighborhoods which is super convenient. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. The resident lounges are also large and perfect for working from home or entertaining guests. I plan on renewing my lease!

It's a beautiful disaster. It. Is. Nasty. The elevators. The hallways. The dog owners have ruined the community. The parking is horrible. There is no storage in the apartments. The leasing agents are nice. It's congested. You can hear everything through the walls. The buildings are starting to crack. Parking is a nightmare and contributes to a horrible experience. You can't enjoy any time away from the community without constantly thinking about the parking drama when you get back. Having a guest is like playing Russian roulette. So many rules and restrictions. Only for your guest to be greeted by animal filth and trash. The dogs have ruined the grass and frequently run the halls. I've have never lived in a community that allowed pet owners this much freedom to the detriment of everyone's life experience. Only move here if you plan on you having to move again at the end of your lease term.

I truly hope you read this review before parting with any cash to these sharks. My son and his girlfriend just got totally shafted by RKW Residential. They executed a lease and paid their fees for a specific numbered unit (with a nice city view like the lovely pictures you'll see on the website). They were so excited for the move, bought furniture especially to fit the new place.... But then more than a month later when the move-in date is imminent, suddenly there's a problem and they have been assigned the wrong unit, and oh, the lease has now been 'deleted' from the 'system'. When he tried to work out a solution, the front office then changed the story and said there actually was no lease!! And then they said they could not talk to them, they would have to speak to their lawyers! Please run don't walk to the nearest exit before dealing with RKW....Not to be trusted.

When I toured The Griff, it was still very much under construction, but even so, the property is gorgeous! It's just enough out of the city that you feel like you can take a breath, but at the same time you're less than two miles from shops and restaurants. The units are spacious and bright and designed incredibly well, and all the staff I met were so friendly and helpful, I can't say enough good things about them or about this complex!
