Property Ratings at The Grove at Cary Park
I have never been so happy to have my lease to expire. I moved there in 2020 during the pandemic, and everything was fine. As time went on, management changed 3-4 times, Maintenace was not keep with the repairs and the office staff did not make themselves available. Due to a leak in an upstairs unit, repairs were needed to be made in my apartment. I was left with a hole in my ceiling, a hole in my dining room wall and a hole around the nozzle in the bathtub, only to be covered with a tarp. This was left like this for 3 months. Due to the leak, maintenance brought a huge fan to dry the carpet, but it was left up to me to clean the carpet, which left a smell. Before moving, I put in a request for a kitchen light as this one was something that I could not change. We were without a kitchen light for 2 months. Payments were not being accounted for and some of us were receiving letters about past due balances. Save your money. DO NOT MOVE HERE!
Mold in apartment that they would not treat professionally. They covered up the issue prior to corporate coming out to cover themselves. DO NOT MOVE HERE! CHAN IS TERRIBLE!
This is the perfect apartment if you enjoy an area filled with amenities; great schools, abundant shopping, great restaurants, family activities, walking trails, and more. The property is well maintained and the management and maintenance staff are very helpful and prompt. The apartments can use a modernized update for the price. There is a nice community pool without a lifeguard. The fitness room and the computer workspace can also use better equipment. There's also a small playground for children and a gazebo common area with grills for teens and adults. The management also works hard to organize many activities and discounts for it's residents.
The apartment complex is in a great location. The apartments are very spacious but could use some updating. Management is great.
I've lived in Grove at Cary Park for over 6 years now. There are some nice features such as movie night and plenty of programs for kids. There's a lot of inspections and other reasons for them to enter units, it can be a bit tiring. But I will say the crew has a reasonable response time for things like a/c not working. My issues with Grove at Cary Park are the same many renters have...price. Lately ridiculous rent increases have left us with many empty apartments. Price increases are causing a strain on residents who have lived there for years. But the only other option is to move out. All things considered it is a decent place to live. Just beware of $50 rental increases.
