Property Ratings at The Grove at Cherry Creek Park
Too often leasing office personnel are unhelpful. Only one person seems to be able to answer any questions or access basic systems. It's mid-summer and AC hasn't worked in 2 months, maintenance requests are not actioned in spite of repeated reminders with leasing office personnel. The whole situation seems chaotic and poorly organized.

Hello, Please accept our apologies for this delay. When you have a moment, will you contact the office at (303) 766-2500 to speak with our team? We'd like the chance to go over when your maintenance order will be completed and address any remaining concerns you may have. We appreciate your patience. Kind regards, The Grove at Cherry Creek Park Management Team
I just moved in here about a month ago and for the most part, it has been a great experience! The apartment is very nice and everything works properly. My biggest issue has been communication with staff and parking. If you get off work and are home any later than 6:00 pm, good luck parking anywhere even remotely close to where you live. There is so much wasted space and the parking lots are just laid out in a terrible way. There is also a huge storage container that was just placed near my apartment that takes up 6 entire spaces, even though we already didn't have enough spaces to park beforehand. When first moving in, communication with staffing was great but now they literally won't get back to me about ANYTHING. I have a drain plug missing in my bathtub that they won't get back to me about (so I can't take baths in my new big bathtub) and I had a package stuck in the package locker for almost two weeks before I could get them to do anything about it after several phone calls, emails, and online message requests. Other than that, it's a great apartment and I'm very grateful for where I live. Just wish I was actually able to find a parking space at night.
The management here is terrible. The maintenance is equally as bad. They do nothing for the residents and are simply not friendly. There was a severe bird problem last summer and did not get it fixed until half way through this summer. Maintenance does actually fix anything.

Please feel free to call me at 303-766-2500 or email me at grovecherrymgr@greystar.com at your earliest convenience. Sincerely, Erin D.-Community Manager
This is by far the worst complex I’ve lived in. I’m going on two days without heat and now without running water. We got snow on 10/24 and my heat went out that same night. It’s now Monday 10/27 and an incompetent maintenance guy walked off the job at 1:30am instead of fixing my water heater. Only solution provided was access to an empty unit to use the shower OR space heaters since my apt is currently below 50 degrees. No definitive answer to when they will fix my water heater. All emails sent out to the office have been ignored and no direct response from management has been given. The incompetence in management is insane. What a nightmare. What a disappointment.

The good reviews on here are probably from before the new management, which changed several months ago. They're now trash. If you decide to live here, get ready for them to literally never answer an email, only very rarely answer a phone call, and to genuinely not care about you. A ton of mail was stolen from the complex months ago and they've done nothing. They refuse to install security cameras because they're too busy paying themselves instead of caring about their tenants. For months they've been making tenants get their mail from the post office (in the middle of a pandemic..risking COVID exposure) instead of 1) getting more secure mailboxes and 2) getting security cameras. They truly suck. They don't give a crap about you once you sign the lease. Run far away.

Excellent staff! The manager is amazing, the community is beautiful, and I’ve never felt so “at home” until I moved here! 10/10 would recommend!

Thank you for taking the time to let us know how we’re doing! We take pride in providing the best for our residents, so we’re thrilled that this has been your experience.
This is a great community. The office staff is very friendly. There are a lot of nice dogs and no dog waste! Quick walk to a huge dog park and every resteraunt is within a 5 minute drive. There has been a little bit of turnover in maintenance but since there are two new maintenance guys who work very hard and are very friendly. Any issues I’ve had with my apartment have been resolved in a timely, professional manner. I would recommend this complex to anyone.

Dear Resident, We work hard to provide wonderful living experiences for our residents and their furry roommates so we appreciate your kind words! Your happiness means a great deal to us and we're confident that we'll continue exceeding your expectations.
Everyone in the office is very friendly! The maintenance team has quickly getting more efficient at completely work orders since Feb when the new maintenance team was hired. There was a problem with amount of dog poop not being picked up by residents but the office hired an outside company (at no additional cost to residents) to come and clean up the grounds 2 or 3 times a week! As a dog owner I feel like people should pick up after their own dogs every time but I was impressed that management is paying for the company to come clean instead of leaving it be.

They would not let me pick up the package since i did not live there first, but offered to call my sister and make sure it was okay. While waiting, i havd a nice conversation with James with maintnenance.

Overpriced. Underwhelming. Bad management. Lies. We moved into our apartment two months ago with the idea that the unit was newly renovated. When we arrived, nothing was done. The $300 credit on our rent for this wasn't worth the trouble to come either. We were happy to accommodate them, we understand they had issues with their contractors. But it was a nightmare after that. We were kicked from the apartment for an entire weekend so they could "finish". We were told they were entirely replacing cabinets and counter tops, and anyone with a brain would assume that mean new cabinets, and new counters. - First, we experienced the contractors. They didn't speak any English, and couldn't even tell me what was being done to the kitchen. They couldn't tell me how long it would take, if it was safe for my pets, or (after the fact) why the counter tops were sticky. - The manager of the site told us they would "sand the wood and repaint the cabinets" when I later asked him their process. Nope. They painted on top of the particle board cabinets. The peeling, old, particle board. There was contact paper inside the cupboards from the last tenant, which they also painted over. - The manager of the site also told me they would bring in new counter tops. Our counters were literally also painted (painted on top of laminate, not replaced) with a sealant that never dries and now has stuck to almost all of our appliances and ruined a number of things. For someone who enjoys being in the kitchen and cooking, I have been miserable here. - Now, as our concerns about the counter top grows, we literally can't get in touch with anyone. The renovations were the worst of our problems, however, we can't get in touch with anyone to fix the rest of the issues in the apartment either. Broken door(even after replacing it), mold in the bathroom. The rent is outrageous for the square footage, and we pay over 100 dollars every month in WATER. I don't even know how this place has a five star rating on this website. In short, don't move here. The new management is clearly incompetent and everything is overpriced. Nothing gets done.
Very SHADY!!! I had currently applied to live here, I've been sitting on a $300 application hold for almost 2 weeks now and have never been contacted by the property. I then, was visiting friends and nowhere on the property is there signage of parking times/policies. Only visible one says "covered parking by permit only." I came out to my car at 1AM to find a boot on my car. The property said it's the residence responsibility to inform guests of parking policy. The residents I was visiting had NEVER been informed of parking policy's.
I lived at this complex for 3 years and LOVED it! My roommate and I moved in right as Griffis was the management. Kendra in the office was incredible and maintenance was quick to respond. Then, without warning, we were told the complex was under new management (we were notified after the take over had already happened!) Needless to say, the office management had NO idea what they were doing, were very unprofessional, they didn't know who lived in what apartments, communication was (and continues to be) either too little (like not warning about fire alarms being tested) or too much (sending out 5 emails in a row). They can't find a happy medium! AND they now take TWO days off in a week. I can respect the decision to be closed on a Sunday, but apparently, it's now too difficult to stay open on a Wednesday. To name the other concerns I have with this property as succinctly as I can: -Removal of recycling at complex. Later issued "valet trash" removal, which is fine when it's free, but it will cost new residents $25 or so a month for the privilege of having someone else take your trash. -Doggie poop stations are overflowing and gross smelling. Not well maintained. - Community amenities like pool and gym are regularly closed and being worked on for waaaaay too long! They say it'll be a day or two, and then it's still not up and running when it should be. TV in the gym took more than a month to fix! - Internet portal was a hassle. Working OK for some things, but there were times when we couldn't submit service requests and automatic rent payments were a BIG hassle. We still don't get package notifications which is absurd. - Management wants to blow $10,000 in new landscaping that isn't at all necessary. They're wasting money and charging residents more for unnecessary changes. They also water in the middle of the day and blast the sidewalks with sprinklers so you can't get through (and so the water is wasted). - Trying to price current residents out of the property. It's obvious they want a turnover of cliental and are fine seeing long time residents leave. If you're looking at The Grove at Cherry Creek Park, be warned! Really look into the dates of other reviews you're reading. Anything before January 2017 can be misleading because the property was well-managed then. Now, it's a different story!
It's a very nice complex. The office staff is amazing, and very helpful, and the neighbors are very friendly as well.
I visited the property last year prior to moving out of an Equity Residential community property I was very displeased with. The staff was very personable and the units I was shown were very nice. There is a variation in the scenery depending on where your unit is located but I would love to receive- "Free Rent for Life" here. Thank you to the staff for taking the time to show me around! Stacie Helen Ayers
Most of the buildings at Griffis Centennial are wonderful, but if you move into buildings 8 or 9 beware. There is a rather large grass area in front of these buildings which the children in this complex (and the neighboring one) congregate and like to scream, cry, kick balls into the patios on the top floor, hit the cars parked nearby (setting off car alarms), scream/play in the breezeway (which reverberates through the entire building), graffiti the walls, leave trash everywhere, break the ac units by playing on them- honestly I could continue but I've made my point. The front office staff have been absolutely excellent in listening and empathizing, but their hands are tied. A few months ago they sent a letter prohibiting play on the grounds. One of the families who refuse to monitor and parent their out-of-control children decided to complain to whomever investigates breaches of the Fair Housing law and management was investigated (and absolved of any wrong-doing, I might add). It's quite unfortunate, there is a significant number of families who live in the complex whose children are well behaved and well mannered- never causing an issue. I was informed it's 6 families who are consistently causing these problems. To be fair, they have implemented a curtesy patrol and are very diligent about asking the children to disperse, if you request that they do during office hours. Unfortunately, once the patrol service/office associate disperses, the children return with the same volume and aggressiveness when they are out of sight, sometimes as soon as 10 minutes later. In conclusion, while the apartments themselves are lovely, well kept, and management is nothing short of excellent, the noise issue from the children is such that I will absolutely not be renewing my lease. It's aggravating that I pay as much as other residents, yet I cannot hear my television if I have a window open. It is that bad. Do move here, but avoid buildings 8 and 9 like the plague.
We've been living at Griffiths Centennial Park for almost 2 years. The office is courteous and responsive. Maintenance is addressed quickly. I wish it was cheaper but they aren't jacking up the rent. They are only going off the market which sucks in the metro area. The location is perfect. Cherry Creek state park to the back (and the off leash dog park) and shopping including king soopers to the front. So convenient! There are also two different light rail lines within 5 miles. 470 is a few minutes away for a quick trip to the airport even in traffic. We'll stay as long as we can afford it.
We've been living here for almost 2 years and enjoy it. The office is responsive to concerns, even if they can't do much for a situation. Maintenance is handled quickly. They have a great system of electronic notification for packages which is invaluable when the substitute UPS drivers don't put a notice on the door. I also appreciate the ability to pay rent online, as well as report maintenance issues online. The fitness center is the best I've personally seen at an apartment complex with good quality equipment and plenty of space. The location can't be beat. We're right next to Cherry Creek State Park but also all the retail you need including major grocery stores. We plan to stay until we can't afford it or until we buy a house. Highly recommend.
