Property Ratings at The Grove at Deane Hill
The location is my favorite part about living at the Grove! I often walk to the food city/old navy shopping area and grab Starbucks or get my nails done. This came in handy during all the snow we had. I can see myself staying here a few more years as I wait for the housing market to calm down.
Property Manager at The Grove at Deane Hill, Responded To This Review
Thank you for the kind words! It is our honor to be the caretakers of this great community and to get to know wonderful people like you! Please call on us if there is anything we can do to assist you.
Being in the military, I have lived in my share of apartments. However, I have never experienced such a priority given to tenants needs. One of my best friends has lived here for 2 years and absolutely loves the care they have shown her. I am here celebrating their Christmas party for their tenants and they have been so thoughtful and considerate. Very professional and genuine. That is hard to find, as most people know. Great location to top it off!
It is now a year and a half I have been living at The Grove and I have made so many wonderful friends. I moved here from another state and did not know anyone. The apartment community is a mix of all ages, from college bound individuals to retirees. I have made so many friends with people younger and older than myself. The location is ideal and within 10 miles of anywhere you need to be and within walking distance to food stores and eateries. Bus transportation is conveniently at the corner as well. I looked at 8 other apartments and chose this one as the appearance is neat and clean and feels safe and secure. Now that I have been here for as long as I have, I know I made the right choice. The staff makes you feel like family and the events they create, brings everyone together for what always turns out to be a fantastic time. When comparing the rental prices to other comparable apartment complexes, the Grove is the best value with the same amenities. They really take good care of you here. If you call with any questions or needs, they respond quickly and take action immediately. The apartments are open and bright with large windows so you can see the beautiful sunny days we experience here in Knoxville. It is also peaceful and quiet enough for you to be able to read or study on your deck/patio. I have been fortunate to discover The Grove and I am so happy knowing I made the right decision in choosing to rent here.
I have really enjoyed living here! All the staff is friendly and great to work with. Maintenance issues are always attended to in a timely manner. I love the Tuesday Food Trucks, the pool, and exercise room. It truly is a great place to live.
Best Place to Live! Just moved down from Michigan to Tennessee. This place is awesome, they helped me out in every way possible to get me into an apartment. The went the extra mile, to make sure my moving experience was perfect. Love my new Apartment, thank you the great staff at “The Grove at Deane Hill.
Staff not polite and prepared to deal with costumers
I enjoy my spacious 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment home. The apartments are older and in decent shape with improvements always being made and a very attentive staff. Tuesday’s is concierge day and they will install items for you, which is a great service. I had them install a ceiling fan, I purchased, in my guest room, a curtain rod, and a bike hanger in my rented garage. Everything was professional done and it saved me time and energy spent doing it poorly myself. I found the price was lower than other similar communities since they are a bit older. You get a great location, good parking, a beautiful pool, and attentive on-site staff. OK, so you won’t have a microwave, granite counter-tops, supplied washer/dryer, or pendent lights, but with the savings can buy your own or save for a down payment on your next house! You will have a good floor plan, plenty of closets, a big porch, and an easy commute to downtown Knoxville or Oak Ridge. My only wish is that the sliding glass door and windows will be replace soon! Otherwise I am a happy resident.
I'll be starting my third year here at The Grove. I think the best part about living here is definitely the location. You can walk to basically everything that you need; grocery, mall, restaurants, drug store. Access to the interstate is crazy fast, 2 turns. The best part of The Grove itself I would say is the amazing maintenance people. There aren't many issues but if there are any issues you can believe they'll be taken care of within 24. I'm also a big fan of the pool that's open year round. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because like every other location here in the South the pet deposit is non-refundable which I feel is unfair. So with $400 per pet it gets expensive and even if you're a responsible pet owner it doesn't matter. Again, that seems to be the norm in this area, not just this location.
The Grove at Dean Hill is a wonderful place to live. The location is very convenient, nestled within walking distance of literally any business you'd ever need to visit. The complex itself is gated with controlled access, with the leasing center (doubles as a clubhouse during free social events hosted by the complex) and pool in front. Parking is never an issue. The interior of the complex is pristine. The grounds crew does a great job keeping the road free of debris, and the landscaping always looks great. The buildings are in great shape as well, and are repaired regularly as needed. The gym is nice as well, with machines as well as free weights. I have a washer/dryer hookup in my apartment, so I can only say that the laundry area always looks nice. Mailboxes are small, and are located next to the gym in the middle of the complex. You can request packages to go to your door if needed. The Grove also has a small gated doggy zone where dogs can roam around outside without a leash. There is also a small car wash area with a hose and vacuum. Inside the apartment, the appliances are relatively updated. My unit came with 2 beds, 2 baths, washer/dryer hookups, a living/dining area, faux hardwood entryway and bathroom floors with carpet elsewhere (carpet is clean), a large refrigerator, and a stove/oven. My unit has centralized heating and air, and I've never been uncomfortable due to temperature. Each unit also comes with a small patio with sliding door access. There is plenty of storage space in the kitchen and in both bathrooms, and there is plentiful closet space in both bedrooms. I have had no issue with insects despite residing in a basement unit, with my primary visitors being the occasional spider. The apartment walls seem thicker than many others I've been in, which is nice. If you work nights, you'll need your own curtains or blinds to block additional light, but at night there isn't much light pollution. The maintenance service is top-notch, and lightning fast. I haven't waited more than a day for even minor problems, and only so long if I call on a weekend. Usually problems are addressed the day they're reported. We had a pipe burst above us, resident's fault, causing water leaks, and the complex manager was on scene in minutes, with a pro water cleanup team at work in less than an hour. 9.5/10 Not ultra cheap, but worth every cent.
The Grove, located in Knoxville, TN is a delight. The location which is close to everything wonderful in Knoxville, surprises you in the beauty and the quiet. Located on the top of Deane Hill, it is next to a huge upper crust mall called West Point, quick access to the interstate, and yet, when you step out on the grounds or on your deck, you only hear birds singing. Neighbors are friendly, the dog park is well appointed and the pool is beautiful. They even offer a concierge type service where you can schedule at no charge, assistance in changing out light fixtures, hanging art or out door planters etc. If you love peaceful and convenient, this is the place for you.
