Property Ratings at The Grove
Not only would they not let me view my apartment i was supposed to be renting their tour was all different than the actual rental. Plus BUGS BUGS BUGS there is a bug INFESTATION here they are EVREYWHERE and they refuse to do anything about it don't move here
They show a model apartment with all brand new appliances and say they are all new in renovated apartments, they have major mold and pest issues. It takes literally over a month to respond to maintenance requests. Do not rent from them!
I moved here in the middle of June and my AC has never worked correctly. It’s been over two months and it still isn’t fixed, and they won’t allow me to hire someone else to come look at it. It’s always 73-76 degrees (it’s set on 70) in my apartment, and my AC bill is over $300. It’s a nightmare.
Do not move here. When we saw all of the bad reviews we shrugged them off, but they were right. When our move in day was here we came to get the keys and give them our renters insurance, but they didn’t have the keys. They had to go and put a new deadbolt on and make keys for us because they didn’t have any. While we were waiting in the office, my mother in law was helping us move and someone came by to open the door for the cleaning women. They had not cleaned our apartment yet. It was move in day and we are having to sweep and clean the apartment. The cleaning women finally came and tried to leave before cleaning mold off of the windows. The apartment smells awful. Like I’m bleaching twice a week and after a day it smells like rotten food again. We had to put in several work order to have our garbage disposal fixed, which was broken when we moved in. Our bathroom fan doesn’t work, but they said they have fixed it. People just throw there trash beside the dumpster and then it gets everywhere. Moving here is the biggest mistake I have ever made. Maybe if the rent was about 100 dollars less I wouldn’t be as angry. Bottom line is don’t move here.
Seriously. Don't make the mistake we did. We had very limited options due to the number and type of pets we have, but we totally bought into the "renovated" story and figured this place would be awesome. Well, "renovated" means painted with some new light fixtures put in. It apparently didn't mean testing the electrical wiring or any of the appliances to ensure there were no issues there. There were. This is an older property that needs serious work and they are trying to bring in renters to fund that work. We've had maintenance folks in our apartment every week we've been here. Of the four cable outlets in the home, only 1 works. Cell phones don't work inside unless you sit at a window with the blinds up. They literally just removed the landline phone jacks during the "renovation" so you can't get a reliable phone. Try dealing with a medical issue or trying to buy a house with no phone inside your house. They promise someone will fix your issue tomorrow and then no one shows up. They say they are discussing a rent concession to compensate for the issues and then never speak of it again. They are full of sympathy and concern when you are sitting in front of them but there is literally zero follow-up. We HATE this place. Take your money elsewhere.
