Rose Glen is a terrific neighborhood – filled with trees and well-kept houses and offering spectacular mountain views. It has a suburban vibe – so much so that you may forget that Downtown San Jose is only about three miles northeast. Rose Glen offers easy access to I-280 for fast commutes into the city for work or for fun. The city is home to such landmarks as the Tech Museum of Innovation, the San Jose Convention Center, and the Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose.
San Jose City College, situated in the northwest corner of Rose Glen, was founded in 1921. The college offers two-year degrees as well as some technical and certificate programs. The Santa Clara Valley Medical Center is located just outside the neighborhood, bordering it along Bascom Avenue. Some shops, businesses, and restaurants are located along Bascom Avenue, and the popular Westfield Valley Fair shopping mall is adjacent to the neighborhood.

Poor management practices
I do like the apartment location and the maintenance team’s promptness to get things fixed when they can. I do not recommend living here, even after only being here for 2-3 months. When I moved in, there were undisclosed issues with my unit and management has been slow to respond to say the least. To this day, I am still waiting on a response from a regional manager. My rights as a tenant were violated for over a week and no one in the office seems to care. Management is quick to blame tenants for every issue we have when they use cheap service providers and old equipment to try to patch problems.

They will rip you off!!
Terrible place to live. Walls are super thin and you can hear everything. Cops are constantly here for who knows what. Fights break out in the middle of the night. If you get move in incentives don't try to move out early or you will regret it financially.

They’ll take all of your deposit
Hey everyone I stayed here for a year and had two teacup yorkies and I paid 500 dollars for each one as deposit and after I moved out they kept all of the deposit for carpeting. And well for my move-in deposit I only received 100 in return. Whenever they clean the parking lot they’ll blow all the dirt on the cars so if you happen to be there you’ll always have a thick layer of dirt on your car. The manager is not the most helpful, seems to have an attitude whenever you ask for anything even just a parking pass. Nonetheless, I will definitely not live here again.

Horrible place to live!
Do not live here! From poor management to poor apartment features. Mold issues! Parking is horrible! I will never recommend this place. You do not want to be unhappy and stuck on a lease like i am.

Poor Management / Facilities
The absolutely worst management, the apartments are falling apart - water stains, horribly kept up grounds. They hide the how horrible the place is in cosmetic updates. RUN. Don't waste your time or money.

I like this place because things are accessible from here. They do have water shortage sometime but they will inform 1-2 days in adv.

So far so good
So far my experience at The Grove has been great. The leasing agents were clear and helpful throughout the whole process. Upon arrival my apartment, the coconut, was clean and everything is functioning as it should. I could see myself staying here for a while. I love my new home!

Be a part of LGBT history
If you're looking for a decently priced and moderately updated apartment that is in the heart of San Jose, this is probably one of many options for you. If you're looking for an apartment complex that once housed a pre-transition Caitlyn Jenner as she trained for the Olympics, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. The closer you get to the city college, the closer you are to history.
