I have lived in the Hamilton side of this building for over a year, and while the apartments are gorgeous that’s really all they have to offer. My main issue seems to be common with everyone else here - the noise. It’s absurd how much you can actually hear in this building for the amount of money you pay. I can hear everything my neighbor is doing, down to the conversations they’re having. If you value privacy and peace and quiet I do not recommend the Hamilton. Management doesn’t ever offer any real solutions to anything either, you’re lucky if you even get a response from them. The real star of the show here is the maintenance crew, they deserve 5 stars alone. Rent keeps going up here for no real reason, and it is absolutely not worth the price. You can find much more affordable and just as aesthetically pleasing rentals within the area.

My year here has been an overall pleasant one with SOME complaints. First, the staff is excellent. I feel as though they have your back and will work with you through most situations. Marianna deserves a raise ya'll! Second, this place really does feel like a home. It's cozy and has a family atmosphere about it. Where my complaints lie are within the parking and noisinesses of my neighbor. Why is there not free parking for guests? Street parking is great in all but when there have been multiple accounts of vehicle theft - I have problems. And to make our guests pay for parking in the garage. No bueno. My neighbor. It's not that he's purposefully noisy but it's the way his kitchen is set up behind my entire studio wall. Every cabinet slam, dish put in the sink/washer, I can hear and it's startling noise. I feel that's faulty of the way these apartments have been designed. Overall: Solid. I'm staying another year.

I love the building and the people, but struggle with the constant noise of my neighbors. I really wish that the building was crafted with more insulation.
A mixed bag. With how much I’m paying, I am a leaning a bit more towards unsatisfied. Firstly, the mail room is very disorganized, with packages strewn about everywhere. Other apartment buildings have more designated and organized ways for people to find their mail, and it’s kind of surprising that carriers just throw your packages somewhere in the room, making it very difficult to find your items. Secondly, the Hume house elevator had been broken for far longer than the timeframe I was told it would be fixed by, which has made accessing my apartment very difficult. Lastly, maintenance has been very unresponsive, I called over a week ago and left a message requesting maintenance, but have not heard back at all. Some members of management can be rude.

Overall a pretty good experience! Love the location and the amenities. The gym is one of the nicest apartment gyms I’ve seen! I do wish the windows were better quality in the building. On the cold days you can feel a huge draft and there is often a lot of condensation on them.

Hamilton is a great place to live- location wise and the apartments are clean/nice. Management is responsive. Only downside is high cost of rent compared to other apartments in Germantown.

Good so far, all things considered. I will say that the issue with the lack of soundproofing, and the building being made of wood, is problematic. I can hear and feel my downstairs neighbor getting up for work or doing chores

Overpriced, added monthly fees, can’t get a hold of curtesy officer after hours for emergencies and no one will return phone calls. Office staff never answers the phone and they’re extremely rude and unprofessional. Would not recommend this apartment complex.

The main elevator has not worked since mid-June with no communication from The Hamilton and Hume House management team when it will be repaired.

For the most part I’ve enjoyed my experience. I really like the building and location. The community events offered are also great. My cons would be the elevator being out for 6 weeks has been in my opinion unacceptable. Carrying groceries or heavy bags up all the stairs is not ideal. I saw a girl on crutches have to go up them all so thats also bad. In the email they keep mentioning using the inner elevator? But i have no idea where that’s at. I have a couple other small things that have happened that make me not give it 5 stars, but I don’t have enough characters available in this to mention.

Great building and location. Price is reasonable but some of the finishes and general layout are odd. The shutter blinds and only 2 elevators primarily.

I have seen some amazingly cool places with unique features compared to Hume. This is not to discount the perks of Hume because it still has all the standard high-quality amenities plus more than I will ever need. Hume, as well, is more affordable than the others, like parking. As with most Germantown places, Hume-Hamilton is situated just north of downtown in the middle of everything without the busy-ness and noise. I LOVE that I can walk to places instead of driving, and it seems everywhere I drive is only 11-12 minutes by car anyway.

Worst customer service, added monthly fees for everything. Management is terrible, rude and inconsiderate. Would not recommend anyone live here, especially for the price. The location is great.

Sarah, all community members with a pet must pay a one-time pet fee as well as monthly pet rent. All pet waste accidents must be cleaned or attempted to be clean, all community members get charged a cleaning fee if there is no attempt, unfortunately you walked right past and did not come back to clean. I completed a tour and the maintenance does a great job at keeping the place looking nice. It seems really quiet and safe. The location is great and close to everything!
