It would be easy to characterize Gainesville as a pure college town—the University of Florida is home to over 50,000 students in a city of 130,000, and the campus is arguably the defining cultural hub of the community. Between the art exhibitions, concerts, lecture series, and, of course, the wildly popular Gator sporting events, the UF campus culture is a magnet for students, locals, and visitors alike.
But Gainesville has much more to offer than just an electric collegiate atmosphere. The historic Hippodrome State Theatre anchors the thriving Downtown district, which is packed with a vibrant assortment of bars, nightclubs, and restaurants. Local favorites like Flaco’s Cuban Bakery and Volta Coffee attract a steady stream of students and non-students alike at all hours of the day and night.

Property Ratings at The Hammocks off 6th
I love that all units are 1 story/4 units to each building. At only 523sq ft and a big patio, they are small. I think it's rather quaint. Gator Village sits off the road, so it's very peaceful and quiet. The property is very well maintained and the on premises manager is very professional and pleasant. I've been here almost 2 years and look forward to staying longer.
This apartment has a spacious bedroom, nice size bathroom, nice size kitchen, nice size living room, a nice porch area, and the neighborhood is very quiet. Me and my daughter are very comfortable here but since I lost my job I may have to leave since I can't pay rent like I used to. This would be a blessing to me and my princess if I won free rent for a year.
