Just 20 minutes northeast of Downtown Dallas, Lake Highlands is filled with sizable homes and affordable apartments for rent. VEHICLE STOLEN. I moved here thinking things would be different than what I saw on the reviews. Day after day our packages were stolen and our car was on top of the ac never working. Management is near impossible to get ahold of and the “cameras dont work”

Moved here about three weeks ago, but I've been working with Selina since late Oct. to move across the country. She has been so helpful and considerate of the stress levels involved with moving. I would highly rate the staff here if they had an option. Everything explained to me in detail, they did not try to use any sales techniques or give false information. I have a single 660 sq ft apartment and it is very very spacious! Walls are thin, so unless you live on the third floor you can hear the footsteps of your neighbors. Haven't gotten my water bill yet, so I cannot vouch for expenses but with the trustworthiness of the staff I know around what to expect. Parking has not been any kind of issue and neighbors are respective of space. Ask for Selina or Jose when applying!
Been here more than a year already and seen lots of improvements done to the community. The staff Jesus and Selene are incredible and resolve the issues quickly. Great team.
Selena is the best leasing agent ever she is like a gift sent from heaven. She makes you feel so welcome! She assists you with your every need the best she can. Jesus is a great leasing agent as well. The manager has been out on vacation and the office is still running like she never left. They are on top of there work and every time I come into the office I notice how they are answering every call they can that comes through. The maintenance is doing an amazing job keeping the community clean. The employees here are the best and it makes it that much more of a home for my family and I.
Too bad i have to pick a star, it should be -5 Stars. On October 27th, I drove 136 miles to visit my daughter who had just moved in to the Madison Apartments. I arrived about 8:00pm. I pulled in a parking spot next to hers. She tells me Mom, we got to move your car to visiting spot. We rode around the whole apartments, there were no available parks. So we parked my vehicle BACK by hers. and she got my license plate# and went online to REGISTER my vehicle at some website. October 28th my car was towed, at 3:45am. At the cost of $165. This morning, October 30th. I was told by Serena that she was sorry, there was nothing they could do. My daughter should have called and had my car put on a DO NOT TOW list. Unfortunately, it is not STATED in her Lease that you had to do this in advance, there's nothing in the Lease about the importance of this.. Which most would feel important enough to be a statement on the lease. While waiting in the cold to get my car, i talked to others from other Apartment complexes in Dallas County that cars had been towed that night. My Conspiracy Theory is this: The Tow Companies, The Apartment Complexes, and Dallas County are receiving some type of kickbacks and revenues from poor folks like me that are just visiting, purposely not having enough VISITORS PARKING, so that they can do just what they did. There were no MARKED parking spots for the residents, no reserved, nothing, just a set up. The Madison could care less about how unfair this was, which makes me thing they are part of the Conspiracy. It's a shame that Dallas County and the City of Dallas would allow this to happen......unless...

I just recently moved into this apartments and so far i have had no issues. I have not experience any loud noise, i actually like my neighbors. Everything it's clean and love that is gated. During the process Selena helped me tremendously and guide me every step of the way. P.s. Thank you for the welcoming gift. Did not expected when i open my apt door for the first time. Sure did came handy. That was very thoughtful.
The most power you will ever have in the tenant/landlord relationship is going to be when you first come out to view the property and possibly lease an apartment from them. They will never have any greater need to be nice to you than they do right here, so if you're being treated like a chump up front it is a very bad sign. I made an appointment to come look at an apartment and they never mentioned to me there are security gates all around the property. There are no instructions at the gates for calling the office, and when I called them on my cell they weren't answering even though they were there. While I'm driving around the place looking for a way in or hoping someone else will go in so I can just follow them, someone I presume is security started following me. Perhaps I looked suspicious but how hard would it be for him to roll down the window and asked if I needed help, he probably could have let me. I eventually end up parking at the property next door and walking up the block to The Madison (I am handicapped and walk on a cane). I stood at the gates for about ten more minutes until someone drove in so I could walk through. I locate their non-handicapped compliant office and walk up the steps, come in about to faint. They leave me waiting about ten minutes and don't even offer me a drink of water. The woman in the office tried to explain how it's my fault I didn't know how to work the security gates she never told me about when I had called and says my car will be towed if I leave it parked next door. I made my way back to my car (even being on foot I had to wait for someone to drive through the gates before I could get out) and I drove off without looking back. No wonder there are so many negative reviews here about roaches, the pest control people probably can't get in this place either.
You don't want to move to this palace unless you are about to be homeless and don't have a place to go. I made that mistake and pay for it dearly. First you pay 100$ to 130 $ just for the water which when you first look the apartment they will tell you that water bill is 30 to 40 dollars. Second there is huge a pest problem. In about a few days after you moved in you will find Roches every where in your furniture your refedirator behind your TV set, everywhere. When you talk to the management they act like it is not there problem. There'd there is a significant mold problem. I think the city needs to pay a vist this place some of the units are really bad. Then there is the stuff who dose not work most of the time. Do not move hear. You will not gone be happy. I assure you.
Huge roach problem. Other than that, they are alright. Normal apartments, nothing special. No garden tub, no gym, no club house, no fire places, no apartment activities, cheap prices.
Its great area to live in the maintance is great. But the laundry facility could be better
poor apartment to live in. staff especially violet, is very rude. this place needs serious pest control.... i currently live here and i still here due to my contract :( i hate this place

Madison apartment, bad apartment to live in,poor pest control system they charge you for pest control but they don't give the services it seems they are there to warm their seats but not to deliver the services right. they enter peoples apartment without notifying them. they come and enter with a total stranger especially the lady Lilian to your apartment caught her red handed doing that and i was very angry. the stranger even could not face me they use apartment facility like their own.instead of working you find them doing their school work at tthe computer meant for the community and if you want to use the business center they chase you as though you haven't paid for the facility. the place is very dusty that can trigger allergy and the lady violet is very rude with bad attitude think twice be four you rent here
