Timberglen is a small yet upscale community made up of impressive homes and tree-lined streets. Timberglen is far from a secluded suburban locale, however. The community enjoys both a laid-back lifestyle and urban amenities along Frankford Road. Fast-food restaurants, steakhouses, and coffee shops make it easy to enjoy a day out without going far from home. The area provides easy access to multiple North Dallas shopping centers, and Bent Tree Country Club is less than two miles east. With proximity to the President George Bush Turnpike and the Dallas North Tollway, the commuting crowd will be well taken care of. These major highways also mean that Downtown Dallas and the entire Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is just a 30-minute drive away.

Property Ratings at The Hamptons
Don’t fell for their’s cheap prices. 1) none of their apartment have exhaust or window in the bathroom which means you have to keep the door open and kitchen is right next to the bathroom and the whole apartment stinks after using the bathroom. Old apartment structure will develop mold quickly. 2) their one bedroom apartment doesn’t have light in the room. Which means you have to spend extra to buy table lamp Recently I signed up the lease and ended up breaching it because I got confused with the AC vent inside the bathroom. I thought it was exhaust fan. I know it’s kinda my fault too but they also don’t tell tenants about not having ventilation in the bathroom. 3) on the move in date they give you a paper which includes a list of compliances that may need to fix and they ask you to point out and return the paper within 48 hours and after that they suppose to fix within 72 hours but they don’t care and they will not fix it for you. 4) on the moving day they will have you sign up with Towe company 5) they don’t have cameras in parking areas or under the carport. Someone damaged my car’s windshield. 6) no microwave provided in apartment like in most apartments you do get. Their washer and dryer are very tiny and old and can’t wash heavy stuff like blankets. 7) they have more apartments but not enough parking spots so be ready to spend some time in looking for parking. 8) I have signed the lease for one of the unit and that unit have holes in the roof and squirrels were jumping all day long. That unit had broken windows. Found big cockroaches inside the apartment. Not a peaceful complex some tenants play loud music in their car at late night on weekends. They deceived me by not showing me the renovated unit and they categorically told me there’s no other 630 SF unit available once I signed the lease and went back again after 2 or 3 days on their website and I saw the renovated unit were available. Sometimes things are invisible and you have to live there to see hidden damages. There early lease termination required to pay 2 months of rent and whatever promotions they give you at the time of sign up they simply take back. Be careful everyone don’t let them traps you since Dallas is a landlord friendly state.

I’m in the Hamptons apartment complex, apartment 172. My apartment was flooded from the person above me and I came home to an inch of water and the ceiling had fallen through. Even though the emergency maintenance got some of the water cleared up I have things soaked and the place is obviously molding. Unhealthy to say the least! I requested to move into an equivalent apartment as this is obviously unsafe now. I was denied. I am supposed to move my things around from room to room to let maintenance work on it. Completely ridiculous and I physically can’t. I’m in the process of a claim with the renters insurance of the guy above me but for now I have nowhere to live. Every time I enter I’m sick afterwards as the mold is obviously setting in quickly. both Anterra Communities Management and The Hamptons Apartments are responsible. They will respond to this review with please contact us which is useless!!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would! I’m hate it here! Please read the negative reviews they are the truth they aren’t just disgruntled tenants. This is the worst complex ever it’s not the tenants that make it bad it’s the management and maintenance. They rushed me to move in telling me things would be fixed/replaced before moving in that were not fixed due to Covid they didn’t allow me to look at my unit again for a final walk through before signing my lease and getting my money. When I ask them to replace things I’m given the excuse that I live in a “classic” so I won’t be replaced i just have to deal with it. I can not wait for this lease to be over they parking is horrible you have to be home early or you’ll risk having to park elsewhere don’t park under the covered parking or someone will tow your car or leave a sign threatening to tow it and have management sending you a text message the following day. I really hate it here there are way better apartments in the area.
2 years of living here and parking for your visitors is an absolute menace. One of my visitors had their vehicles knifed overnight because of a dispute in parking. On weekends you will wait as long as 3 hours for your visitors to park. What do the visitors do during the weekend then? They flood the resident parking. Good luck trying to park on the weekends because the flooding of illegally parked visitors will prevent you from getting home from your late night job. EDIT: I've moved out so let's get into the gritty. Their maintenance is okay. With mechanical and electrical failures like AC and garbage disposal they are quick and easy fixes. Anything else however is suspect. My tub was resurfaced poorly, bubbled and cracked. Got it resurfaced, and in a little less than a yeah it started to fall apart again after which I chose to adopt a showers-only policy until my second year was up. Parking is an utter nightmare, sometimes taking as long as 2-3 hours of a wait if you want a visitor parking slot to open up, of which there are only 8 still. It's my personal opinion that when it comes to contractors, they will contract with the lowest-bidding yes-men they can find to help support any claims they make. You'll find my suspicions about this in other reviews relating to bed bugs and further down this review. After move out, I had thought I did very well for my first time leaving an apartment. Not only did I make sure to clean every ounce of trash I could find from the apartment, but I filled in every hole in the wall and hired the cleaner my fiancé's family uses for $200 to make a run of the place and get it very clean. Well, they did not immediately return my security deposit so I gave them one month to which it was complete silence from them. When I did open contact with them a month later they refused to return my deposit and accused me of pet damage to carpet in the amount of $700 (I have 2 young healthy cats that of course only use a litter box). After asking for evidence, they provided a blurry photo of some minorly damaged carpet, and a section of carper that was brighter than the rest of the carper where the plastic carpet protector for my desk chair went. Imagine being charged $700 for having carpet that was too clean compared to the rest of the carpet? The moment I questioned their evidence they went silent. Still trying to solve the dispute.

Hello, thank you for the kind words! Have a wonderful weekend! - The Hamptons Apt. Homes
i stayed here for just one lease term 2017-2018. my particular apartment was fine, there were no obvious issues with it. parking was a HUGE issue. i worked pretty inconsistent hours, so i paid an extra $35 a month for a covered parking spot. it was a decent distance away from my actual apartment, but that’s not their fault. my biggest issue was that they didn’t encore towing issues. there was a car that stayed parked in my parking spot for almost 3 straight days over the weekend. when i called the tow company to ask them to come get the car, they told me i had to have the security office call them and request it. i was baffled, there was no security office. eventually the tow company failed me and was unable to get a tow truck that was able to remove the car. that’s not the complexes fault but they were incredibly unhelpful as well when i was able to get a hold of them. when i first moved in, they for some reason changed our mailbox lock without saying anything to us. i had to request a working key THREE times and it took them nearly two weeks. somehow, no one in the office knew anything about the lock being changed and one employee actually implied it hadn’t been changed and i was just incapable of opening the lock. all in all it was a mediocre experience. the apartments are okay, it is a beautiful property for the most part but some of the units are older and could afford to be updated a bit better. the parking issues are the worst issue.

I just moved in to these apartments and at first I was so excited due to location and price. The Manager Carla is awful and has no customer service or managerial educate. I've had several issues with the apartment that I JUST MOVED INTO and have not had anything done or even a call to let me know it is getting taken care of. They absolutely don't care!! Also, PARKING SUCKS!!!!!! There are not enough spaces available and not to mention there are only 8 visitor parking spots so GOOD LUCK TO YOU OR YOUR VISITORS!! If you are not home by 9 pm you will not be able to park anywhere!! So, God knows where they plan on having us park. Place is infested with roaches and there's trash EVERYWHERE! You try to contact corporate and nobody is ever there and they won't give you email to person in charge of this mess of a property. I regret so badly leasing here and still have 9 months to go. Just save yourselves the hassle and time. Property is awful and management is not any better!! RUN!!

At your earliest convenience, please contact us directly at 972.307-8921 or stop by our office in person. We look forward to speaking with you.
I applied 11/30/18 and had to constantly call the front office about my application. After 10 days of the run around, I called and found out I was denied for whatever reason that NOBODY in the office could tell me. I proceeded to ask about the refunded amounts and I was told I'd get back my admin and deposit. I waited the ENTIRE month of December and called numerous times to check the status of the refund. The only thing the rude lady in the front office told me was that it was sent to corporate and I'd have to wait 30 days. RIDICULOUS, especially since it took them less than 30 seconds to take the money out my account. Fast forward to 1/10/2019, I call the office, again, NO HELP so I decide to call the Anterra Management Corporation over the complex. AGAIN, NO HELP! The rep said the complex hadn't even sent over the declined paperwork, so I was advised to call again the following day and when I did, guess what? NO ANSWER! This complex and property management team is GARBAGE. I have started an investigation with the Housing Authority. DO NOT RENT HERE!
I stayed here for 9 months and although the area was convenient the apartments were not. Parking is impossible after 10pm. I would have to park at Kroger across the street at least once or twice a week. I asked for a carport when I first moved in and was never designated one...either I was forgotten or looked over. Towing is incredibly fast here too! Before I could even move all of my stuff in I found traces of bugs and dead bugs. After looking at reviews I saw there was an ongoing bug issue. ROACHES! Before I could even put food in the pantry or fridge or trash in the can! This neighborhood is also loud at times. There’s a lot of overwatering which can cause mud and the pool is hardly ever cleaned. The management is friendly and bilingual. Maintenance does their job promptly.
If you plan to have your friends come visit expect them to have NO WHERE to park because unless it's CLEARLY MARK "VISITORS" their car is getting towed. Here's a fix, don't hire idiots to run or work your apartment because just BADLY spray paint over an old visitors spot and say okay these spots aren't visitors anymore cause EVERYONE CAN CLEARLY READ "VISITORS" OVER YOUR BLACKED OUT MESS, doesn't mean everyone knows they not. Don't live here unless you want to go visit your friends.
Does anyone even work here? I guess maintenance was here long enough to turn the water off at 9:30 instead of 10 which was stated on a handout. No one is in office or answering calls and it's 10:15 on a wed!! Guess I will be showering in the gym again. Won't be renewing
I am constantly finding old food all over the grounds! Chicken breasts, bones from wings or pork chops, half eaten fast food, you name it. It's so bad I can't even walk my dog here, I have to go outside the complex to the complex next door or around the block to find a patch of grass that will be clean. That's aside from the fact that no one picks up after their dog here - watch for land mines if you come visit. The office staff NEVER answers the phone. The A/C units are also not up to snuff for Texas summers.
The property seems nice online and when looking at the show room, and to be fair, the property for the most part is well kept. However, I have many complaints about this complex. Parking is the biggest issue. There's just not enough spaces, so it's a constant fight for a place to park. My car was even towed for parking parallel to the curb, because there were just no more spots. $200 down the drain. I also had a flea problem in my apartment (I do not have a pet or animal). It took almost a month and a half to get rid of them. The complex said the only thing they could really do is spray it every two weeks, which is not often enough to keep the fleas from coming back. Had to fight the infestation on my own with multiple trips to Home Depot. Lastly, it's not unusual to have people driving through the parking lot blaring their car stereos and shouting at all hours of the night. It's as if people have no concern for the space of others. Overall, nice staff, but not worth the money. Would not recommend living here.
Do all you can to avoid this property. My car was keyed on more than one occasion. My son's car - parked in my reserved spot was towed, even after receiving assurances from the apartment office that this would not happen. They are busy nickeling and diming you. Trash is not picked up in the parking areas and driveways. The driveways are potholed. The access to the complex is horrendous. There are security gates - but they haven't worked since I've been at the property for over 2 1/2 years. The AC is not maintained and works very poorly. The walkways between the apartments are filthy. People drive through at all hours of the day and night honking their horns and shouting. The parking situation is totally out of control. It has become an alternate source of income for somebody at the complex as the towing company keeps very busy aggressively towing people with and without permission to park in designated spots. There are no accommodations made for visitors. Sites that are "rented" out are always empty, so the few spots that are left are quickly taken and then if you park there you get towed. The response of the apartment complex office is incompetent and impotent. Our neighbor was told that they would be notified about repairs to be done in their apartment. They worked during the day and wanted to make arrangements for scheduled repair. They came home one evening and the apartment repairs were under way requiring that they find temporary accommodations until the repairs were done. They were never given a scheduled appointment for these repairs as promised.
This apartment that I am staying in was supposed to be just like the model but when I moved in I noticed many differences. No lights in the living room or bedroom nor any ceiling fans. The bathroom mirror was raggedy and all the cabinets are PAINTED white and stain. There's also a bug problem. First I had spiders, then these nasty millipedes, now fleas.. I don't even have pets. Also really dirty property there is trash and dog poo everywhere. There is also no parking and only 10 visitor spots, so good luck having company. Your rent also fluctuates randomly. Just not worth your money.
After being broken into 3 months after we moved in, as hard as it is to believe, things just got worse. We spoke to the manager, Katie, there was nothing they could do. We could switch apartments within the complex if we wanted to but after numerous times asking her with no response we gave up. We were insured that the gates, that always remain open, would soon be funcitoning and would close. Since that day they remain open 24/7. The complex has little parking to begin with and they have since then charged for covered parking spaces which outnumber the avalible noncovered parking spots in the complex. There seems to be some sort of extra fee almost every single time rent comes around. The manager is never there and when she is there she is rude and does not pay attention to the conversation you are trying to have with her. I can honestly say that this place if poorly managed, poorly staffed, and not worth the amount you would end up paying to live there.
