Greenbelt is a scenic suburb ideally positioned at the intersection of multiple major highways, including the Baltimore-Washington Parkway and the Capital Beltway. Close proximity to these highways affords many residents short commutes, in addition to the city’s convenience to top employers like the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, the Department of Agriculture Research Center, and the University of Maryland. Washington, DC and Annapolis and Baltimore, MD are also within commuting distance of Greenbelt.
Despite Greenbelt’s close proximity to several urban centers, the city maintains a distinct suburban vibe. Lush tree-lined streets lead to tranquil parks such as Greenbelt Park, Buddy Attick Lake Park, and Schrom Hills Recreation Center in Greenbelt, where residents can enjoy an array of recreational activities. Shopping opportunities abound at Beltway Plaza Mall, Roosevelt Center, and Greenway Center.

Property Ratings at The Hanover Apartments
In my opinion, the only good thing about this complex is my leasing agent Brittny, she is so sweet and helpful she is great at her job! Other than that, I’ve been living here for almost a year and have already experienced MICE. My hvac unit has a giant hole that goes straight into the ground and allows field mice to enter my home. I was distraught & disgusted! I threatened to not pay the rent so the maintenance people came running to fix the issue but still didn’t handle the problem. It took about 3 weeks for them to fix the issue which is totally unacceptable. The only reason I see no more mice is because they had someone from another company come and put a metal blocker under the hvac closet. The maintenance men couldn’t even finish their job, they literally suck and have the worst attitudes.

Been living in this community for four years and have been satisfied. THe grounds are kept nice and it’s quiet. I have not experienced roaches and or mice in my unit. There was an air issue a couple of years back but that has been fixed. The parking can be a pain at times. I really wished there was assigned parking. Overall, we are satisfied!

Me and my husband have relocated from out of state and we love our new home. We have a renovated one bedroom and it is so gorgeous. The property is very clean and quiet I love that I don’t see people hanging around I feel very safe. I would absolutely recommend this community to anyone who is relocating out of state or simply finding a great new home in the area.

Thank you for this fantastic review of The Hanover, Martha! We're delighted that you and your husband are having such an enjoyable stay in our community. We're thrilled to have your recommendation!
They do not respect your privacy here. The community looks nice but thats not the problem. Whatever you do, don't forget to pay ALL of your rent even if you miss $50, they will post HUGE notices on your door to try and embarrass you so they can get their money. Meanwhile the laundry machines are barely functional, the roads are a mess leaving and coming into the property and there is absolutely no security.

This Commumtiy is very beautiful but don’t deceive Yourslef , too many break in and robbery . No cameras on site and the management don’t do anything about it but rather renovate their leasing office . Just this morning someone got stabbed if they had cameras they would have helped better with the investigation. Not to forget their AC has too many issues .
The Hanover is a nice community but the AC System is terribly flawed. It does not work, and they make you wait and suffer until the end of May to turn on the AC in the complex. Its is also really loud at times with the beltway so close. You hear all the noise from the Cars, Trucks, and Bikes all day long. I do not recommend this place AT ALL.
This apartment complex is a great community to live, and the apartments quality is in good condition.
The best part about living here is the convenience factor. This community is literally close to everything you could think of: metro stations, MARC station, shopping centers, restaurants, gyms, post office, doctor/dentist offices, etc. The staff in office are very friendly and when life circumstances arise, they actually make arrangements and work with you. The grounds are always well-kept and recently they've been doing some upgrades that make it look even better. The community is quiet and safe. There is a park and pool to enjoy. And I love living here. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star is because of the repetitive issues with the A/C. The complex controls when the A/C comes on for the summer and it seems like every year the A/C gets turned on a week or two after the weather breaks, which leads to some very hot & uncomfortable times. And maybe a couple times during the summer, you come home after a long day of work/play to discover that your air doesn't work, your apartment is 100 degrees and you're looking at a couple days before the issue is fixed. It's a pain. But in comparison to all the things I love about living here, that's something that I can live with. But I'm sure that's something you would want to know BEFORE you move in. Another thing is that they go up on the rent EVERY YEAR. This came as a shock to me because I am used to complexes increasing the rent every few years, but not every year. So while when you move in, it will be affordable, it doesn't stay that way long.
