Koreatown is a vibrant LA neighborhood fille with hidden gems, bars, eateries, and a collision of cultures. As the name suggests, the atmosphere in Koreatown is heavily influenced by Korean culture. The neighborhood is a favorite destination among foodies city-wide for its endless selection of authentic Korean restaurants, but the community has a much more diverse character than that: the broad range of cultural influences is exemplified in landmarks like the synagogue and contemporary art gallery of the Wilshire Boulevard Temple, the Latin fusion cuisine of Roy Choi’s restaurants, and the popular German/Korean/Hawaiian tinged gastropub, Biergarten.
Although the area is a hot spot for LA residents’ day trips, Koreatown is known as one of the best places to live in LA. Most locals rent their homes and enjoy parks, coffee shops, and stores within walking distance of their apartments.

Property Ratings at The Harper
Never go there. The office is deserted every day. I've been talking about the noise problem from upstairs for 8 months now and nothing has changed. Now there's just no answer. I run on a treadmill every day in the upstairs apartment and I complain every day, but they just pretend not to know. If you want to exercise, dance, and be loud, go here. The office won't solve it anyway. You can live here and be loud as you want. This apartment .
Moved in recently and the apartment has already had a million issues, the worse one being their sole use contract with BAI connect. If you work from home or care about internet at all, stay away from this place or any property offering only one service. The amount of outages is ridiculous at this point and I’ve only been here for a few weeks. We just got a new manager after the last manager left and I’m hearing before move in, there were fire alarms going off every week. My appliances and apartment has issues not fixed before move in, even leaving bathroom and kitchen sink dirty! It was gross. I Would not recommend moving into this place.
This building is very badly managed. They will tell you anything you want to hear to get you to sign the lease and then ignore requests. They don’t uphold the rules in the lease. The side door to the street is always left open at night, which in this neighborhood, is not safe. In the seven months I’ve lived here, the fire alarm has gone off 5 times. It’s also very dirty, I have seen excrement in the hallways and elevators multiple times and people constantly overflow the trash or just throw trash next to the cans. The poor cleaning people work very hard to keep up but it’s just too much. Don’t recommend living here.
Was one of the first tenets to move into this building it slowly going down hill and it says a lot on how it is being manage as well. They will throw random charges on your bill whenever they feel like it or don’t give any info on anything manage is never in office when you look for them. Beware
Make sure you properly tour the property and check the parking lot, stairs, rooftops, and other common areas. You will see extreme signs of neglect which should foreshadow the problems that you may see after you sign. Unfortunately as one of the first tenants here, there were no issues at the time. It's a different story now.
