From its murals to its famous taquerias (where you’ll find New York’s best tacos), East Harlem is considered one of New York’s hottest neighborhoods. You might hear East Harlem referred to as Spanish Harlem or El Barrio, but no matter what you call this trendy neighborhood, it’s an ideal location that’s still affordable by Manhattan standards.
East Harlem is located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, extending from 96th Street north to the Harlem River, and from 5th Avenue east to the river. The northern section of Central Park, which includes the Museum of the City of New York, Fort Clinton, the Conservatory Garden, and the Butterfly Gardens of Central Park, sits directly across 5th Avenue from the neighborhood. Getting around Manhattan is quick and easy from East Harlem – the subway runs through East Harlem and contains several stations extending from 96th Street to 126th Street.

Property Ratings at The Heritage by Common
I actually live here now, and I can confidently say that things have changed a lot since the days when Common was managing the building. I’ve read some of the old horror stories too, but I can tell you from firsthand experience that it’s a completely different place now. New management – The current team is way more responsive, and maintenance requests actually get handled quickly. Better cleanliness – The common areas and kitchens are cleaned regularly, and the whole space feels much better maintained. Honestly, I was a bit hesitant when I first moved in because of all the old reviews, but I’m really glad I took the chance.
I loved being so close to Central Park, and my room had stunning views of the city. The only drawback was occasional delays in addressing maintenance requests, but overall, it’s a great place to stay. It seems there were issues in the past, but I moved in after a change in management, and everything has been excellent since then.
super confortavel, perto de varios lugares, vista linda e etc..
