From its murals to its famous taquerias (where you’ll find New York’s best tacos), East Harlem is considered one of New York’s hottest neighborhoods. You might hear East Harlem referred to as Spanish Harlem or El Barrio, but no matter what you call this trendy neighborhood, it’s an ideal location that’s still affordable by Manhattan standards.
East Harlem is located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, extending from 96th Street north to the Harlem River, and from 5th Avenue east to the river. The northern section of Central Park, which includes the Museum of the City of New York, Fort Clinton, the Conservatory Garden, and the Butterfly Gardens of Central Park, sits directly across 5th Avenue from the neighborhood. Getting around Manhattan is quick and easy from East Harlem – the subway runs through East Harlem and contains several stations extending from 96th Street to 126th Street.

Property Ratings at The Heritage House
Living here has felt like home since day one. The space is warm and inviting, and the common areas make it easy to connect with other people in the building.
The apartment has incredible views from the large windows that make the place feel upscale! The building itself feels pretty high-end, and the amenities are a huge bonus—there are about three different shared areas in a separate building, and each one is really well-designed.
I had a wonderful experience staying at The Heritage House. The location is unbeatable, with Central Park practically in your backyard and easy access to subway and bus lines for quick trips around the city. The building itself is impressive, offering amenities like a gym, a community lounge, and a beautiful, well-maintained garden. My apartment was stylish and comfortable, and the in-unit washer/dryer was a huge plus. The monthly cleaning service and keyless access made life even more convenient. The only downside was a minor issue with noise from the street at times, but overall, it's a solid choice for anyone looking to enjoy luxury living in Harlem. I’d definitely recommend it for both new arrivals and seasoned New Yorkers!
I live in a cozy three-bedroom apartment with a beautiful view overlooking Harlem and the East River. Shared time is very important to my roommates and me, so we chose an apartment with a larger living room, which we love. All three bedrooms have windows and closets and two are on the smaller size. We have 1.5 baths, which we love, and a small but very usable kitchen. Overall, I love where I live and hope to stay there for a while!
I am so lucky to have found this 2BR jewelry! It is a spatious apartment in a high rise building with a very interesting layout. It receives tons of natural light in all rooms! It has a beautiful large terrace overlooking Central Park! It is just amazing to see the city skyline day time and night time! The building is clean and it is very close to 2 main subway lines, and bus lines. A good supermarket is right around the corner. All in all, this is a dream home!
