Property Ratings at The Highlands of Heritage Woods
Cannot decry my experience at this location enough. Ownership group and landlord clearly take advantage of tenants. I highly recommend looking for a different location in the Copley area.
Well maintained. really helpful staff, close to a lot of things I find necessary. Price range is excellent for the residence. Quiet, well kept grounds.
We have been in our apartment for just over a year now, and it has been wonderful. Maintenance is quick to respond to any problems, and we get a garage included in our rent. The only complaints I have are that some external fixtures need some paint/cleaning, but only noticeable if you live here/are looking for it. We've had some water pressure issues in one of our showers, but that is being fixed for us. We have a good amount of storage, and we are close to the highway and restaurants while feeling far away from it all. The pool is kept nice as well.
This apartment has really made me angry on several occasions, but I haven't moved because I looked around a lot and didn't find anything better in this price range and in this area. I've been here almost five years now. Pros: Well maintained pool, which they open early in the season and keep open late if it's warm. Super nice and helpful woman, Milissa, who works in the office. Helpful and speedy maintenance when needed. Right on the highway and just a couple of minutes from just about any kind of store you need, plus an ER/urgent care/gym/slew of doctor offices in one building. Roomy. Open floor plan. Balcony. Garage included in rent (although it's far from the door) Generally safe, suburban area. (Technically Copley but basically Fairlawn) Bus stops very nearby in case you need them. Relatively new/modern construction and style. Dishwasher and garbage disposal. Gas fireplace. High ceilings. Cons: I think the owner is manipulative/deceptive. For example, we were all told we had to switch internet providers to this rinky dink company I've never heard of because Time Warner was "leaving the area." It was a huge inconvenience and still often is. But when I talked to Time Warner, they knew nothing about leaving the area. Worse yet, before I moved in, I was told that if they couldn't get the carpet clean from the previous owner, they'd replace it. They didn't, which I didn't discover until I was moving in and it was too late. I very soon realized the carpet had fleas in it and had to treat it myself to get rid of them. (I don't have pets, so they were definitely in the carpet before I got there.) Poor-quality flooring. Linoleum squares come up off the floor for no reason. The shower is DISGUSTING. It's one of those plastic things, but it's 3 pieces, so water gets in between and mildew grows deep in crevices you can't clean. You don't know it's in there until you rinse the shower walls and chunks of mildew just fall out. UGH! Building is made of wood, so it rattles when you or the neighbors walk, unlike the steel/brick/concrete high-rises I was used to.
This is a great place to live. I love my stay here and would suggest to all.Amazing staff and outstanding maintenance service. Kids friendly and safe! Love it
