Great place to live overall! We had some issues with the leasing staff during move-in, as communication was lacking—they rarely answered calls or messages, which made the process challenging. Otherwise, maintenance has been awesome and quick to help whenever needed. It's been a quiet and peaceful area. Overall, I am still very happy with living at The Highlands! I love the safety of the gated community. However, off and on there are issues of the gates being broken or damaged.

“Luxury appliances “ are not the case at all. Refrigerator is outdated, stove is super old without a timer, clock, preheat or self cleaning option. We have had to replace the disposal once-cracks in the pipes and flooding.

Good attention to details. Nice fans, carpet, etc. We just wish the appliances were nicer and two gate fobs were included. Not that big of a deal though.

Maintenance is amazing, always resolves any issue in a great timely manner. They are so busy during this time of year but they do everything in their power to make sure everyone is taken care of and are so genuinely caring about their residents. Once our move date arrived, it was a seamless process and everything went really well. Leading up to the move date, things were difficult. When calling the leasing office, no one ever answers the phone. When emailing, it would sometimes take weeks to receive a response. Getting ahold of anyone before becoming a resident is very hard. But now that we are here, we have loved every second and have no complaints.

The community is nice and quiet. The apartment layout is great. I wish the kitchen was larger. Lots of storage. Patio size is great. The mailroom, sigh… This is why there are only 4 stars. They really need to install storage lockers. Packages are in one messy room. Sometimes you have to hunt for your package. You really have to pay attention to when you are due to receive a package. There is no notification system. Also, you hope people are honorable and won’t take your package. At least finally you can fob into the mailroom, and you are not limited to only office hours for access. That was ridiculous!

I absolutely love living at The Highlands. My apartment is spacious. I love the gated community, as it makes me feel safer. Having a dog park, gym, and pool is a huge perk for me as well.
So far it’s pretty cool , the people that work in the office are nice and i love my place. I like that the pool is now open so my son has a good time there & the 24 hour gym is great also.
I like everything so far, just wish they had an easier way to pay for rent. Instead of that it will make you go to multiple apps or websites.
I have lived here going on 10 years. I have enjoyed the beautiful setting, the friendly staff and timely maintenance. I also enjoy having nice surroundings for walks.
The staff is very friendly and easy to work with. I also love the environment in the surrounding area and within the apartments, it seems so spacious for being an apartment complex. It definitely has a lot to offer and hope to continue to see this place do well.
It is a pleasure living here. I feel safe, it's always clean on premises, I love the ability to freely decorate my patio. The staff are friendly and helpful if you can get them to return a call. The maintenance team if quick and accurate to fix any issues I've reported.
We’re one month into our lease with this wonderful community. We’ve met some genuinely welcoming and friendly neighbors. We were really nervous about how people may feel about our pittie but we’re seen multiple friendly pit bulls and other pups, there has been no issues. The community is quiet and well kept. Staff here are super friendly and helpful! We absolutely love it so far.
Moving in was super quick and the staff were so helpful at each step of the way. Upon arriving they were so welcoming and gave me a bunch of flyers and discounts to enjoy in our new city, the apartment is beautiful and super clean.
The entire move-in process with The Highlands overall was an 8/10. All of the leasing agents/staff that worked with me are so friendly and helpful. I have been living here for a week now, and so far I have very minimal complaints. The only complaints I have are a few things that need maintenance in my unit. Overall, this is a great community and a comfortable place to live. Also, as a Certified Personal Trainer, I am highly impressed with how big the gym is and how much equipment they provide!! They even have an on-site massage therapist and a sauna! It's the best gym I've ever seen in an apartment complex. If you want to live somewhere that you feel welcomed and feel safe, this is the place!!

Everyone here, staff and residents, are very friendly and helpful. When we needed maintenance, they were quick and thorough. It’s nice to be close to the highway and major roads.
The apts are well kept. When Ive had to submit any work orders, the work is usially done the next day. The office is always helpful when I call.
The amenities are amazing! The location is perfect off of the interstate but yet quiet! Everything about the complex is clean and straightforward! The staff and maintenance crew are quick and extremely helpful! 10/10!
I absolutely LOVE my apartment. The hardwood floors are beautiful. The view from my balcony during the Fall was gorgeous!! I can't wait to decorate and show off my Christmas tree in my Living room patio windows. It already feels like home and I'm really happy to be here!
Been here a few weeks, any issues I run into are handled swiftly. Love that! Could be a few cosmetics fixes to the grounds but for the most part everything around the apartments looks well maintained.
Absolutely love living at The Highlands! Office team is so incredibly helpful and very kind with every interaction I’ve ever had with them since day 1. Maintenance has been amazing and they get it done in such a timely manner and are so easy to get along with and they will walk you through whatever it is, that way I’m aware what happened and what they did to fix it. 10/10 would and will recommend The Highlands to anyone I know because I love calling this place my home!
Whenever issues arise, they seem to fix them pretty quickly. That is a big positive for any apartment community. Only issue i have is the entrance gate seems to always be broken.
I like what I've seen within the community so far however I'm still in the process of moving in. Everyone seems friendly. I like the cleanliness of the parking lots.

I really like the peace and quiet around here except for the people kids that live up on the second floor that come down here and play all around the door around their bikes down here just keep running, riding around in a circle by our front door open a with all the noise and don't nobody on this first level got any kids

Affordable place to live. The neighbors can pretty pretty loud at times, and the complex doesn't really do much about tenants smoking in their apartments, despite it being a no smoking complex though.

The application process was painless and fast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The community is very quiet and pet friendly. I enjoy looking at the landscape and trees (beautiful). The Apartments are spacious and neighbors are friendly. Simply a great place to live.

I love the highlands. I have lived here for 9 years and love my apartment. The location is great and I love that it's gated. The saltwater pools and club houses are great. I love that I have a car port so don't have to scrap snow off my whole car in the winter and the car isn't just sitting in the elements. It has some protection. The gym has a ton of different equipment to work out with. The staff generally always pretreats the sidewalks with salt when we are supposed to get inclement weather to keep residents safe. I never felt safer at an apartment between the community being gated and the alarm systems in each apartment.

I love everything about living here at the Highlands, with the exception of one thing. The mailroom is absolutely atrocious! You have got to fix this! Most apartment complexes now have secure lockers that require a code to gain access. You don’t have to hunt for your package for several minutes, and just hope it’s there. Also, half the time you don’t get a notification of a package arrival. The whole system sucks! Big time!

My overall opinion about this apartment community goes beyond a single maintenance completion. Trash/dog waste disposal, parking, and regular broken entry gates are just a few consistent problem areas.
I would recommend this apartment community because it is a great location and it is a quite community. I like the layout of the apartment too.
It is a quite & well kept property. Office has helped me with the few issues that have occurred over the past year in an efficient & timely manner.
We love the maintenance team, especially Anthony! They always help us out and are so nice.
OK. I'm going to be fussy. Several months ago I mentioned to Diane an Jayce that the door to the dumpster was broken and there was a chance that the dumpster would roll out and come across the drive and hit parked cars. This same thing happened several years ago and the dumpster rolled out and struck my car. Fortunately no damage. Well, as of today, it's still a concern. As I look at the dumpster enclosure the door is wide open and the actual blue dumpster is moving back and forth with the wind. At the same time I mentioned the dumpster problem I mentioned that the exercise bike was frozen up and unable to be used. It's an on and off thing as sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Last week it worked, today it was "frozen solid" and wouldn't pedal forward. It would backward but that doesn't make the digital function work. Last year I mentioned that we had dead shrubbery in front of our apartment. In addition I mentioned it to the lawn maintenance man and he said he wasn't authorized to do anything unless instructed by the office. I know I'm being picky but frankly I was embarrassed before Christmas when our son came to visit and the trash door was wide open, trash strewn all over and it looked a mess. I realize you can't police how people dump trash but at least with closed doors it's pretty much out of sight, out of mind. We take pride of where we live and pick up random trash and that's OK as that happens and it gets me out and about. Also I mentioned back then that there were areas where the concrete hadn't been replaced on the sidewalks and were an eyesore and walking hazard. As I say, I'm being fussy and overall we are most pleased with where we live. Especially the interior maintenance guys. They are second to none and we know that if we have a problem they'll take care of it. One final observation than I'll shut up. The south side of the complex gets less care than the east, west, and north as there is no "curb appeal" concern for potential renters. It took 2 years to get the weeds cut down outside our east window. I know I can be viewed as a complainer but you want good marks to put on your website and I've given them in the past. It's just that there are some issues too.
So far in one weeks time of living here everything has been great. We have already mentioned it to our friends. My dog loves the dog park. Thanks again from Keith and Barbara Zimmerman
I would recommend. This is a community I lived in for nearly ten years between two apartments. The quality and price were definitely great for a renter. It was time to move on and put my money in my own pocket but definitely would recommend. It was recommended to me initially too by a friend.
We have had 2 maintenance men in our unit since our relocation. Both John and Zack were excellent and competent to fix the issues. Totally would recommend based on the careful attention of the staff alone.
