Richmond’s historic Shockoe Slip neighborhood is a colorful and lively district overlooking the James River. Filled with brick buildings dating back well over a century, the vintage aesthetic is complemented by lush trees shading the sidewalks and specialty storefronts like Antique Boutique and Fountain Bookstore along Cary Street. Sockoe Slip has long been a major hub for business in Richmond (plus the Virginia State Capitol is only a block away), but the community lives by a “work hard, play hard” attitude, with dining, entertainment, and nightlife making it a great after-hours destination as well.
Catch a concert at Canal Club, enjoy a stellar meal at Bistro Babette or Citizen, hit the dancefloor at KAI, or just relax with a cold one at 7 Hills Brewing Company.

Property Ratings at The Hill Building
There are bedbugs, electrical issues, no heat…AT ALL, the parking “options” are like $130 something a month or park on Cary St, the doors windows are plastic. I could go on and on about the lies and issues I have but please just take my word and DO NOT RENT!!!
I lived here for 2 years with my roommate. At first, there were no problems. Management changed then it went absolutely downhill. Known of our issues had been addressed and many appliances left unfixed. Broken dishwasher, never sent for repairs. The oven didn't work for the last year. Terrible bug infestation and they would kick us out for extermination a day before without notice (we had animals to take out too) but it just made the roaches come out more & it was a never-ending hell. They even tried to say it was from us and CHARGE us for it. I had talked to multiple residents who said they tried or successfully charged them for the same kind of mistake. They don't care about you or your living arrangements, it's just about the money for them. I never got my deposit back either. Absolutely gross place.
Extremely poor living conditions at 114 Virginia St. SKY Management is extremely lazy and will not address issues for months. The heating did not work for 2 months in the Winter of 2016-2017 and 6 months in the Winter 2017-2018. Even with a blizzard outside, SKY Management did not fix the heating!! During the summer, the central AC keeps breaking down. Besides the heat/AC issues, the building smells of Weed and is extremely noisy. Avoid 114 Virginia St Richmond 23219 at all costs!
