Quiet, tree-lined streets and cute, old-fashioned homes make up the majority of Chattanooga’s charming Bonny Oaks-Highway 58 neighborhood. This area has a bit of a country feel; though it has easy access to several Chattanooga highways, which makes commuting a breeze for locals. Apartments and condos are scattered throughout the neighborhood, providing numerous housing options.
Chattanooga’s most beautiful and well-maintained parks contribute to the semi-rural feel of Bonny Oaks-Highway 58. South Nature Park has miles of multi-use trails and great wildlife viewing opportunities. Harrison Bay State Park, where you can enjoy water sports, camping, and hiking, runs along the Tennessee River. After a busy day in the great outdoors, you can catch the game or do karaoke at AJ’s Sports Bar and Grille. Las Margaritas is a local favorite for dinner.

Property Ratings at The Hills at Oakwood Apartment Homes
Don't stay here its a waste of time, they don't fix nothing at all . Don't care about their tenants
Water is NOT included for the quoted prices it is a $40 add on. The complex does not have a pool or tennis court yet charges the same as those that do in locations closer to Hamilton Place, shopping, and dining. It is also on the flight path for the Chattanooga airport which you do get used to after a bit. We have lived here for 4 years and rent had gone up nearly $300 in that time. Workout room is a small room with 1 rack of weights, 1 exercise bike, 1 elliptical, and 2 treadmills. Office, maintenance staff and neighbors are great but property has way too high an opinion of itself for what it is.
Lived here 3 years. Paid rent early every month. No problems. Cleaned for 10 hours when I moved out. Was told I would not be getting deposit refunded because of vinyl flooring tears and carpet stains. Was told they were doing me a favor by not charging the full amount of replacement fee, because I would owe them money. Will never recommend this place to anyone.
I’ve lived here for almost 2 years and haven’t had any problems. The office staff is great! Maintenance always takes care of requests within a day or two. The complex is pretty quiet and the neighbors are very nice. Great place to live!
not sure where to start. So my husband and I had the worst experience we've ever had here. The same day we moved in we saw roaches in refrigerator, the dishwasher, all in the kitchen. we saw roaches everyday in every room. There where roaches even in my dogs food that was in his bowl. We told them the following Monday as soon as the office opened. I told her I was allergic to roaches and showed her the paper work. She was rude and acted like she didn't care. She couldn't get anyone to spray to days later because they don't for us. They did 3 treatments and roaches were still there. The manger wanted to move us to a one bedroom, but that wasnt what I paid for. She said she couldn't promise there were no bugs in any other unit! Make a long story short we found out the roaches were coming from behind the stove and had food which was there before we stayed there. For three weeks we had to live in a roach infested apartment . They would not let is out of the lease until we hired a lawyer to come talk to them. Before this I tried calling corporate but no help. They eventually gave me my deposit and first months rent back only because we were going to take them to court. Don't waste your time. The showroom looks way better than what you will get. Everything is old and dirty. Also they charge 25 dollars for a mailbox key and don't tell you until you get to the post office. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!
Been staying here for a while got a leak in bathroom that is leaking in the ceiling in the kitchen.. I guess they fix stuff when u move out
Hello, my name is Shirley Lankford and I am a resident at The Hills at Oakwood. My fiancee have lived here for about 8 months, enjoying every minute of it. It is a two bedroom, 1/2 bathroom, two story apartment with classic appliances. It is fairly large with a decent amount of storage space. It has creme colored walls, white doors, and soft tan and brown carpet. The flooring downstairs is hardwood, probably the nicest floor I have ever had. The reason I am describing this apartment so vividly is because it is one of the nicest places I have every lived. To say that this is my home makes me feel proud of myself and makes me feel more confident. We began a family here and I believe we will stay here until we feel comfortable enough to buy a house to grow our family up in. Although, I will miss the Sunday nights of our neighbors in my building meet up to have dinner together. We are more like family than neighbors and I love it! The maintenance here at the apartments are splendid! They are more like friends then workers here, every time they see us out and about they wave and if they are not to busy they will ask about our newborn daughter, Sophia. The office is nice, too! I can go to their gym, wash my laundry, and even strike up a good conversation with them if they are not too busy. Overall, if you are looking for an apartment home that has a lot to offer and friendly neighbors, come to The Hills at Oakwood in Chattanooga, TN.
Ive stayed here since june and its an amazing apartment...parking is sometimes tough but other then that I LOVE IT.......would recommend anyone...best apartment experience since I moved out 2 years ago I recently didnt have the best luck with The Courts at Waterford and moved out and now I can finally say.....I AM HOME!!!
Where can you get an 1000 Sq ft home in the $700-750 range? It's an older building of course, but updated nicely, and kept up. No bugs, or mold. The landscaping in the community is also kept up nice. Great kids park, and dogs park too.
Here at the Hills at Oakwood my husband and I love our 2-bedroom apt. We have recently moved in and so far things have been just great. This is a quiet area and good for someone who enjoys a safe place to take a nice walk. I would recommend this place to any of my friends searching for someplace to call home.
This apartment isn't what you expect. For a family it's not good. Air conditioning continuely broke down. The smells of the adjacent renters came into our apt. We wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
A town built on a hill cannot be hidden (Matthew 5:14). That's whats the Hill at Oakwoods Apt. Homes Community has become. I've been here less than a couple of years now. During this short period of time, the community has changed and improved alot. One year ago, we were British Woods Apartments. It's an older complex, but the recent upgrades are bringing this unit into the 21st century. For example, I had a kitchen that the counters were old and the kitchen outdated. I went out of town during the holidays, and when I got back, I had a surprise. My countertops had been upgraded to a laminate that looked like marble and it was beautiful! Granite would have been nice, but this looked 100% better. That's the type of community we live in. The property landscape is nice. We don't have a pool, but we have a nice dog park for those who have pets. The are constantly trying to make the community better. We sit in prime location that's convenient to shops and access to expressways. Yes it's small and doesn't have some of the amenities of some of the upscale complexes, but we are rising and shine bright!
