Situated just over nine miles north of Salt Lake City, Woods Cross sits between Farmington Bay and Grandview Peak. Settled in the late 1800s, today Woods Cross is a sleepy suburban accessory to the state capital just south of it. This is a fantastic location for outdoor lovers, as there are plenty of opportunities to get out and hike and explore the Great Salt Lake to the west.
You’ll find older homes and apartments on the east side of Woods Cross, with newer developments bordering the Legacy Nature Preserve to the west. There are shops and eateries in the northeast corner, and the excitement of Downtown Salt Lake City is just a few minutes away.

Property Ratings at The Hills at Renaissance
My family and I are long term residents here. We are proud to call the Hills at Renaissance our home. Management is wonderful , attentive and takes good care of all the residents here. Maintenance is very efficient and does great quality work. They are good people and very attentive. I highly recommend living here.
We have lived here for 2 years and LOVE it! The office staff is amazing and so so friendly. They go above and beyond to make the property beautiful and clean. Our maintenance staff is great and is always as quick as possible with anything we need fixed or help with. The parking situation is really the only down fall but there are so many other things that make up for it. It’s such a quiet, respectful community.
Property Manager at The Hills at Renaissance, Responded To This Review
Hi! Thank you SO much for your kind and glowing review of your time here at The Hills! We consider ourselves lucky to count you guys as part of our community, and hope to for many years to come! If you ever need anything, please don't hesitate to reach out to our staff. Thanks!
If you love hearing your neighbors both above and below all hours of the day... if you love a TON of hidden fees and your rent being almost $275 more than you agreed to... If you love walking a block or more to park your car.. then these might be the perfect apartments for you. Not to mention the floors appearing to be nice hardwood In pictures, but actually being rough rigid planks that hurt your feet. They provide the cable! Good thing it never works, and the guys that come to “Fix” it continue breaking it, so hopefully you enjoy being on the phone with different cable companies. You should really hit that super nice gym though.. it’s basically like a Motel 6, but worse. Overall, don’t move here unless you don’t care about your comfort or money.
These apartments are the worst my family has ever stayed in. They make you buy their cable, which literally is broken half the time. You have to fight for parking or suffer parking a block away, because people use the open parking for their work vehicles (Lawn Butler), which take up 4 spots a night. Then the rooms are fake nice, the pictures look awesome and then once you actually get into the units you see how everything is cheap (Floors, Appliances, A/C). Save yourself some money, don’t pay the amount of money you have to for these, when you could have an actual place worth the money. I will be moving my family out of here as soon as we can.
My partner and I have lived there for 2 years. The staff is amazing and Britney the manager runs an amazing show there. Close to dt SLC, stores, and my favorite restaurants. Any repairs needed they are fast with fixing, amenities are all clean and new, family oriented, great pricing, and the best apartments I ever lived at. Don’t hesitate to move in.
Staff is wonderful, broke down the payment of rent, showed us benefits of the community and toured the apartment
I lived in building A for 12 months. Beautiful interior and stunning west facing views. Unfortunately these things were hard to enjoy when I could hear everything from my neighbors directly below me and directly above me. Since there are wood floors, you can hear every step. I had two sets of neighbors that lived above me while I lived here. The First Lady lived by herself, but I could hear her music, TV, and constant walking around her home in heels. The sad thing was, I don't think she had the volume too terribly high. That's just how bad the sound barriers are between apartments. The people who lived above her could also hear this, so I know it wasn't just me. After she moved out, I thought I may get some peace. Unfortunately for me, a young family with two young kids moved in. So it was constant kids screaming and running around and parental discipline and yelling and then crying kids. Not a great living environment.
Just like the other two reviews mentioned, the management is very helpful. The interior of the apartments are very clean and updated. The downside to these apartments is the location. It is located just west of the Ford dealership and they get on their intercom from open-close. Their announcements you can hear inside the apartments word for word and overtime it can get quite annoying.
I've lived here for about 6 months and I love it here. The office is very helpful and always polite. I can't tell you how many faxes the manager has happily helped me send. This morning my car wouldn't start and the maintenance team was right there to give me a jump. They go above and beyond to help. They're nice apartments and I never hear my my neighbors. Parking isn't great, but they're almost finished with the additional parking lot. I would highly recommend this community.
I love these apartments they are absolutely amazing and the management I can't say enough. If you want the greatest experience this is without a doubt the best place to live, they have 1,2 and 3 bedrooms. And lastly the layouts Can't be beat truly a work of art.
