The renter’s paradise of the Saint Andrews neighborhood in Columbia holds plenty of apartments for rent with a wide range of amenities. Nestled along the Broad River, Saint Andrews lies six to eight miles northwest of Columbia, depending upon the route chosen.
The 2,137-acre Harbison Environmental Education Forest remains one of the largest public green spaces within the city limits of an eastern U.S. metropolitan area. Locals enjoy 18 miles of trails to hike and bike, along with places for canoes and kayaks to enter and leave the adjacent river. Most commerce can be found in the southern portion oSaint Andrews, just outside the tree-lined sections of this sought-after neighborhood.

We hope we can turn these 3 stars into 5. We want to hear from you—please give us a call when you can at (803) 798-2255. Thanks!
They never respond to emails until the last minute and then you have to wait a day later to even get a response back. My sister and I have been emailing and have had to run through hoops to send information and it’s still not good enough. Having second thoughts.

Hello! Thank you for this feedback. We sincerely apologize for any unmet expectations and we hope we can speak with you directly via phone. Please give us a call at (803) 798-2255 so we can address your concerns and make sure you have the right contacts.
Please take in consideration that you get what you pay for. Management could improve and maintenance but after all I haven’t had any major problems at all. Your neighbors might smoke weed for play loud music while pulling up. If you’re fine with that, go ahead and move in!

Thank you for this feedback. Please give our office a call directly so we can address any concerns you may have!
In June 2021, the apartment complexes website went down so we were forced to pay our rent via money order, then that same weekend rent is due, the dropbox magically gets stolen. We were given 60 days after the lockbox was stolen to get our refund from moneygram, and we didn’t receive it in that time frame and was forced to pay double rent for the month of August. This set us behind on other bills that we have to pay, and there was a management change atleast 3 times from the date that we moved into the complex in November. Note, I am veteran with full benefits, so they should know that my rent at the very least is always going to be paid. We contacted corporate and corporate never contacted us back, we were forced to physically go to the office. Also, when the Dropbox was stolen, the office was still closed because of Covid. So the only way for us to pay the rent, literally was stolen, and we lost out on that months rent. Another issue we had was upon moving in, we weren’t allowed to view the apartments in person, and when we moved in we had around 10 issues with the apartment right off the bat. The maintenance were cool, but I could tell management was getting annoyed with us. The apartment complex might also be roach infested if I had to speak on that as well. They’ve recently conducted renovations in the apartments, and the workers leave your doors wide open to the elements so everybody can see in your apartment and let bugs in. All in all, it’s a bad apartment complex and needs a lot of work.

Hello, although we appreciate most feedback, we are very disappointed about yours. Please give us a call directly so we can discuss your experience and address these matters properly.
We have been living here going on 3 years and the apartments are affordable. Not too much complaints since moving here, but just this year we have a rat problem. Pest control was fast about coming out about it but they are still here. My neighbor also complained about having rats. Never had this problem until a couple of weeks ago. The location is convenient , close to a lot of food places and the Dutch shopping mall (that no one really goes to), dollar tree, and riverbanks zoo is about 5-7 minutes away. The apartments could definitely use an upgrade. One thing i don't like is that the washer/dryer room is on the patio. There has been times when i wanted to wash clothes at night but scared of what animals might be lurking, aka raccoons! We also had this problem where we could hear raccoons in the ceiling. Complained about it many times. Took a very long time for a response. I don't hear them anymore so I gues someone from wildlife came out. There are new maintenance men and I honestly don't think they are properly trained on some of the things that need fixing. You hear sirens 24/7, all day everyday. Peking sometimes SUCK. Apartments are spacious. Good for a 1st time apartment renter. The rent goes up every year tho. Looking to move soon.
I recently moved here two days ago with my 4 month old daughter to the second biggest 1 bedroom apartment. This is my first time ever having an apartment and I LOVE it so far! Gwen was so nice and professional the entire process! She greeted me with big smile and she has been very helpful since I applied! The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. It’s in a great location, and the prices are reasonable. I made the right decision when I chose to live here! And I look forward to watching my daughter grow up in our new home !
it is unquestionable that these apartments are some of the most cost-friendly in the Columbia area, but you do get what you pay for. I would encourage any potential renter to view the apartment you will be staying in yourself. I can only speak for my individual apartment, but the walls and ceilings are poorly done and painted; and it shows when you take a closer look. My biggest concern about this residence is the safety. In less than four months of living at the Hollows, we have had a doormat stolen as well as a car stolen from a parking spot directly in front of our apartment. For the price you pay here, it is likely worth it, but looking back, I wish we would have looked for a complex with an actual gate that locks or even some kind of video footage at the least. It is tough living in a place where you do not feel safe.
This is my second apartment and I’ve been living here going on 5 months. The apartment has a great layout, it’s affordable and maintenance is good. The only down side about The Hollows is all the constant sirens that can be heard out on the main road. Now I know that Broad River is far from Suburia but 2-10 police/ambulance sirens will be heard daily and it gets pretty frustrating. The actual complex itself is quiet and my neighbors pretty much keep to themselves. Another thing that is annoying is the parking! Management does not enforce visitor and resident parking!!! It’s highly upsetting to get off from work and have to park far away from the apartment that I pay for because all the visitors take all the close spaces.
Love the location, the upgrades within the apartments and the style of the apartment, what I haven't been enjoying is having loud upstairs neighbors and not as in talking or music but walking, stomping, constantly moving things from one side to the other its annoying aggravating and hard to sleep day or night. I have informed the office more than once asking to be moved. I don't want to leave but with no help, care or understanding of I work (clearly the people above me don't so they have more time on there hands than I ) I need sleep and deserve to have piece and quiet just as they do, I have no choice but to move the noise makes me uncomfortable and uneasy. I haven't been here 3 months yet and looking into other locations. This apartment is more worried about sticking to policy ( 6 months before moving) then the fact that I came to the office close to tears from working a 12 hour shift haven't almost being asleep for 24hours and having a killer headache asking please can I be relocated. This place is awesome but don't have a problem that may result in you wanting to move. As I write this I hear nothing but the sounds of something like bowling balls being drop. And its 12:50 at night!
I love my new apartments. They people here are very accommodating. Anything that is needed they get to it right away. It's very nice, quite, and safe. I can take a walk at 3am with no problems!
Friendly staff. Pet friendly and open community. Away from downtown so nice and quiet.
