Just north of Anaheim lies Fullerton, an energetic community full of public parks, unique shops, and an enviable variety of arts and entertainment options. This diverse area exhibits classic California, with Spanish-style homes and apartments set behind picturesque palm trees on wide boulevards. The area is full of families, artists, working professionals, and more, giving it a livelier atmosphere than surrounding areas.
The huge number of students enrolled at Fullerton College and Cal State Fullerton comprise a hefty chunk of the local population, and clusters of restaurants and nightlife hotspots can be found around their campuses. The Continental Room and Matador Cantina both command a crowd on the weekends, and Brea Mall offers up some of the best shopping outside central LA.
Theater and film events fill the calendar, and the local music scene has produced dozens of notable alumni over the years.

parking is trash you are allowed a maximum of two cars. there is no guest parking despite the signage stating so. spots are never open and my roomates and i both had our cars towed from the complex despite the fact that we live there. tow fees were upwards of $400. We didn’t get our parking pass until we had been living there already for 6 months. our laundry area wasn’t working for at least 4-6 months of us living there. overall a trash experience. too expensive for what you’re actually expected to live with.

Maintenance is very poor quality. They take forever to come fix small house hold problems. The third party gardeners are also of the lowest quality. They blow leaves, rocks, and any garbage onto your cars!!!

Don’t be fooled. I have lived here for two years and finally leaving. Theft is soooo bad here. And homeless people can go inside the community and will break into your car. So much roaches and flies. Unmanaged dumpster. Rowdy neighbors. Not worth of your money.

Super walkable to many eatery. The rent price is reasonable for the area.
This was definitely thee worst decision ive made for a choice to live! This property is horribly managed unprofessionalism at its absolute best! The property managers are rude beyond inconsiderate and any inquiries a tenant may have for HELP their best line or response is sorry for the inconvenience following why they have no idea or information on a solution! They're more concerned abt how a tenant cleanliness is bothering a neighbor than finding effective ways to stop the constant theft and infestations on the property! Honestly they should be shut down forever new management couldn't even help this complex its awful!
So much theft going on here. Don’t move in. So much pest too. Garbage from the dumpster is always overflowing.
Rent was charged incorrectly 3 times, with no responsibility taken from Property. Creek manager Alyssa was not proactive in following up requests. I had requested before I was charged incorrectly, for her to confirm with the accountant that I would not be charged incorrectly, but she did not and I was then charged incorrectly 2 more times. I use autopay to ensure I will not pay late. They suggest I get off autopay, but warned me that if I did pay incorrectly or late, I would be responsible. I did not change to manual to avoid that issue which they then still incorrectly charged me. No response or update has been given within 4 month period of trying to address this issue.
With being a good resident here during hard times due to COVID, I had no real issues until my car was broken into 2 times within the same month in the gated areas at my car port. One of the items stolen was the gate key, which I informed them but knew nothing was done about that a non-resident has access into the community because I was never updated. I tried to speak to management and even corporate about compensation for my safety (change car ports, be in a garage spot for a couple weeks to have car out of site, anything) and no options were given other than to file a report which I already did, or try to find an outside spot/park far away. I do not recommend living here as your safety is not something they will take into consideration for attempt to protect.
I love the location I barely moved in two weeks ago and got my car towed away from not having my permit on my car for only one night and I have seen the same car parked in the same car parked in the same lot without there permit. And I would feel safe because its closed gated but just the other day my car was broken into and some of my stuff got taken away which was not fair because i would feel safe that the community is closed gated but yet its someone inside that is braking into the cars.

Hello- Thank you for taking time to post a review about your experience at The Homestead. We are saddened to know that your vehicle was towed, our sincerest condolences. However, as you stated your permit was not properly displayed and was therefore in violation of parking rules. We can assure you that the towing of your vehicle was procedure, not personal. Thank you.
If it has always been your dream to live amongst rats, roaches, gnats, and petty thieves; look no further. The homestead is for you! I will say that managers David and Ariel are nice, apologetic and respectful. But it’s also obvious that they are powerless to corporate. Despite the fact that the apartment owner owns the water and trash company, there is trash everywhere. There are many cleanliness issues at this complex. Trash overflows and draws rats and roaches. I have roaches and gnats coming up out of my drains after multiple treatments. Including one more treatment scheduled for tomorrow. This adds up to yet another day off work to prep and more money spent on boarding our cat; And one more day of canceling my son’s in-home behavior therapy. When I reiterate this to corporate, they always want to say “that the first time (several weeks ago), when we sent pest control over there you were not prepared.” But what is not in their notes, is that we were not told anyone was coming out. Which David the manager will admit when he is asked. Every other time that they have been schedule to come out, we did all of the prep work and we were present and fully compliant. This is insult to injury because one time we did prep work, as we were told the entire house would be treated. Only for them to refuse to treat the entire house because it was not in their work order. We also made it clear from the initial sighting of the first roach and gnat that these bugs were coming out of our drains. And yet, the first time they treated they did not treat our drains. They came back to treat our drains without the proper pesticide and Then when they finally treated the drains, it did not work. And I am still killing gnats and roaches that are coming out of our drains. Moving to this place 4 months ago was the worst decision of my life. When we applied, a man named Matt promised this was a beautiful & secure place to live, “we have cameras EVERYWHERE and if anything goes wrong, our 24 hour security and maintenance teams are on it!” — Fast forward to 3 weeks into living here; our car was broken into and 6 weeks ago, all of my bras were stolen out of the washing machine. I went to the leasing office literally crying to Matt about him being a liar & he called the police on me! Insult to injury? The police wouldn’t come in we called them about our car, but they showed up when Matt called them to chastise me for being “loud” in and scaring away potential new renters!
Everyone writes these terrible reviews that make no sense. I will leave you with what is important. The Homestead is a nice clean property that is well maintained for being over 40 years old. The amenities like pool and exercise rooms are well kept and updated regularly. Management switches out frequently but maintenance is on top of things. Parking might be an issue if you have more than two vehicles. They do have two car garages that you can rent for an additional fee if you need the extra space. The leasing office is inviting and everyone was very helpful in getting me the apartment. Overall it has been a great experience and would highly recommend.
The management is s like a team of kindergarten; they don't hold into their word when tenants sign and pay for holding the place. I paid for holding my apartment and they had a month to work on it and at the end of the month I ended up with not place. They didn't get the apartment ready. Even though it was their fault on not having things ready for signing the lease, I ended ripped off.
Poor management skill. They charge fees with no remorse. They don't know how to treat tier tenants. I would refrain from renting here. Save yourself from unnecessary pain.
The Homestead is an awesome place to live! Lots of great amenities, and fun activities. Just had a wine and paint night and it was great!
