Hopewell is a suburban community located just minutes south of Richmond on the banks of the James River. Established as a port city in the early 17th century, Hopewell’s City Point district holds the distinction of being the oldest continuously-inhabited English settlement in the country. Surrounding City Point, the northeast corner of town is filled with vintage buildings and storefronts, including the landmark Beacon Theatre.
The city remains an important industrial community, with the chemical plants near the waterfront serving as some of the biggest employers in the area. Due to the vast range of affordable apartments, condos, and houses available to rent, Hopewell is also a popular option for Richmond-area commuters seeking budget-friendly living arrangements and a quaint small-town style.

Property Ratings at Hopewell Lofts
I’m only putting one star because since sold to Peak Property they have done an amazing job. CONS: let’s start off with the biggest issue the roaches the roaches are so bad that I don’t understand why no one else has made this a big deal but I couldn’t do it. You have to constantly call for them to come out to spray when it should be already scheduled. Also I complained of the roaches dying in the fridge. I was told that once the treatment was done this shouldn’t be an issue. It continue to be an issue I had to continually clean the fridge out. When I requested for a new one. Next con PARKING. The rules to it doesn’t make any sense you only get one pass per bedroom so if you have anther car just prepare to park it on the street but don’t let it be a football game playing you might as well not come home because there is no where to park. Also there is no control on the parking for the games so they park in our lots and yes you can call towing but you shouldn’t have to if the school regulates parking. Then the kids find their way into the building and play through the halls
I moved in 9/1/2021… moved out 8/31/2022 still waiting on my deposit back… they made up some garbage about having to clean my unit and charged me$165 which was a complete lie… you will never be able to get in contact with a body when you need to, but don’t pay your rent on time you will be hit with a $100 late fee on day 5… it’s been 79 business days and I have called everybody under the sun and nobody has yet to answer or return my calls… … don’t waste your time
