Property Ratings at The Hudson at Cane Bay
Could this be a great complex?Yes. Is it? No. Great location minus all the construction around. The pool, fitness center, and leasing office are great. The overall quality of the apartments however, is not as advertised. Trash all over the grounds, no one cleans up after their pets, not nearly enough pet waste stations, and the apartment was not cleaned prior to our move in (cob webs, dirty countertops, lint and trash behind the dryer, paint splatters on the floor, and the blinds and other surfaces were filthy). There are no ceiling fans in the bedrooms, no drawers in the bathrooms, and not enough kitchen storage. On top of that, we had several maintenance issues within our first 3 weeks. The keys didn’t work, the lock was broken, water pressure in one shower was bad, and the other shower door leaked water. The issues on their own weren’t a huge deal, but all of them together really feels like we’re overpaying for the quality. Then to top it off, we were awakened one night by the smoke detectors to find one dripping water. Had to call emergency maintenance. The maintenance staff is nice and the front office staff has been..comparable to that of other apartments. It is not the fault of the office staff, but the quality of these apartments is not as advertised and severely overpriced. To call it luxury living is completely inaccurate

My air conditioning unit has been broken since 10/2. I have requested multiple times for it to be fixed and I keep getting the runaround as to why it is not fixed. I received an email on 10/18 stating my request has been placed on hold until 10/31. Extremely poor customer service, and good luck trying to get in contact with them.
Nice place to live, excellent neighborhood to the family, very good facilities like pool and public areas and very kind people in the office.

Thank you so much for the great review! If there is anything that we can do to earn five stars, please let us know!
I guess the saying is true, “You get what you pay for”. My husband and I were hoping with The Hudson being in a newly up and coming area (Nexton/Cane Bay) we would have a pleasant living experience, but unfortunately that was not the case. In the 1.5 years we have lived at The Hudson, the TV in the gym has never worked and the stationary bike has never been able to connect to the Wi-Fi, despite bringing this up to staff multiple times. We have had more than one issue with rent and other associated costs that required me to reach out to the FCA corporate office and/or a manager at a different FCA complex to have the issue resolved. We have had items stolen from the bed of our truck, the speed limit is not followed in the complex and there are no speed bumps, allowing people to drive very quickly – so I would not consider this a safe place to live or walk around, especially for children. The grounds are not well kept, there is frequently trash and debris throughout the parking lot and flowerbeds. Staff frequently takes up the “Future Resident” parking, as well as the assigned handicapped spaces/wheelchair buffer (typically where the staff golf cart is parked). Maintenance entered our apartment twice without permission regardless of a “Do not enter” memo in our account. (We have a pet and need notice to secure him before entry). We are frequently unable to retrieve our packages out of the package room for several days after delivery due to the keypad being broken, stating “There are no packages to be retrieved” or the office staff not being in the office during business hours. The package room itself is overfilled with packages that have been in there for at least a month. I have personally witnessed two elderly residents with walkers unable to retrieve their packages because they are unable to navigate the walker inside the room with large boxes all over the floor. We also noticed the garage door opener is not working, nor is the garage door locked, we were able to push it up easily. Again, there was no one in the office to notify (during business hours), thankfully we were there to empty out our unit. If you’re considering The Hudson, do yourself a favor, save yourself some pain and suffering and look at one of the many other apartment communities within Nexton.

Thank you so much for the 5-star rating and compliments to the community and staff. We are so thankful to be a part of The Hudson at Cane Bay!
Very peaceful and beautiful to just walk around in and a lot of very nice and friendly people
I’ve been living here for a year now and when I first moved in it was managed by Greystar and the front office staff was amazing. When they sold it I should’ve left then! The front office staff now NEVER answer the phone. Sarah in the front office is very useless. I’ve called several times about noise coming from a neighbor that always has activity after quiet time just to be told it’s nothing they can do about it. Like Really? So we’re unable to get a good nights rest because of constant noise from above us and my kids are awoken throughout the night & all you can say is call the courtesy officer instead of mandating quiet time rules that’s ridiculous! For what we pay in rent we should be able to enjoy our home in peace. Not too mention it’s a hole in our roof that has mold surrounding it and I’ve complained since two weeks ago and still nothing has been done. I’m Really considering breaking my lease they are horrible!

Someone got into my new apartment before I moved in and defaulted it by urinating all over the bathrooms, Called the office was told they would call me to replace the toilet lids that I can't get clean. Never heard back!!!

Thank you for choosing The Hudson at Cane Bay. Our team is thankful for the opportunity to work with you.
I have lived here for two months.. have had several issues so far. Currently experienced AC unit not working. Put in request 4 days ago and still broken. Nobody has even cared enough for a return call. Promised calls from a manger here as well before the end of the day- never happened! He never called. It’s currently 80 freaking degrees in my apartment and on day 4 of a broken ac unit and nobody cares! Do not move here! It’s expensive and terrible customer service!!!!!!!!!!!! Worse decision ever

The Hudson is in really nice area its close to a lot of conveniences.
It certainly was a match for comfort and a Home Sweet Home feeling. Glad we are a part of the Hudson Family.
The Hudson is like living in a luxury resort year round. It's absolutely gorgeous.
Its a decent place to live and everything around is very handy but we have noticed so many irregularities in the workmanship of the apartments. We moved into a brand new apartment expecting a beautiful place. It is nice but there are no drawers in the bathroom and no drawers in the kitchen big enough for a silverware tray.
Apartment and amenities are nice but if you like sleep do not move here unless you're on the 3rd floor. All the floors are made with vinyl plank and extremely noisey, you'll hear your neighbors ALL night. Not only will you hear the neighbors right above you but can clearly hear those 2 floors up. Management also does not care when residents are extremely loud well after midnight, their only response is to lie to you then tell you the only course of action is to call the police. Management was fairly responsive before we moved in but once here they don't care much. There are apparently no "quiet hours" in the lease so they just really don't care to help. On a separate note, if you're a dog owner they perform a DNA swab so they can fine you if they find dog poop being left (which is perfectly fine)... the problem is there really isn't anywhere to throw out the dog poop other than the dumpster which is located pretty far away. A single poop station was just installed this week in pretty much one of the most inconvenient places possible as a large area surrounding it is constantly flooded due to no drainage and the irrigation system so you need to wade through ankle deep water to toss your dog's waste.
Run! If you want sleep at all, don't move here! We are miserable here and although I could write a book about the issues, I just hope to help another avoid this nightmare by letting you know that quiet hours are not enforced (even after you complain to Management multiple times).
I could write a book but to keep it simple, RUN. If you like even 5 hours of sleep a night, better look elsewhere. It is so unbelievably loud here and management doesn't help or care about your concerns. We are so disappointed in this place.
Awful experience. We haven't slept since we moved in. The noise is unbearable!
The Hudson at Cane Bay is a beautiful place to call home and the office staff are very eager to help with any situation.
Coming from out of state I did most of my apartment searching online and over the phone with the staff. Everyone I talked to went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and confident with my choice of my new home. They happily answered all of my questions and made the process of applying super easy. I couldnt be happier with my new home!
It has been over 20 years since I have done apartment living. I have to admit, things are a lot nicer now. The Hudson has great amenities and a very friendly staff. The decor of the units are beautiful and inviting.
Apartments are great, excellent location and very friendly staff
