Property Ratings at The Isabella
Living in Isabella apartments was a horrible experience. Management is incompetent and disinterested in resolving tenant issues. Do not live here!
UIP, the property management company, is horribly unresponsive and dishonest. For the money, you can find a much nicer place to live and with appliances that actually work. The appliances break constantly, and UIP takes forever to send someone over to fix them. Additionally, UIP has not addressed the cockroach infestation in the building seriously at all—the exterminator just sprinkles some diatomaceous earth around and hopes for the best. I’ve had a horrible experience living here, so do yourself a favor and find another place to live.
Horrible experience Worst neighbors, loud creaky doors slamming all night, limited insulation, lazy staff, next door to a rehabilitation center, and on a one way street with non stop construction. Severely overpriced for the location.

This newly renovated building (what was formerly a squaters dwelling) has all the essential features and comforts of a clean, efficient, and welcoming home. This historic building with vintage details has been enriched with modern features and amenities. LG Washer/Dyer, NEST thermostat, USB outlets, natural wood flooring, and cliff pointe tile bathrooms make this a must-live location.
The Isabella was gutted and fully renovated with the first residents moving in during the summer of 2015. The building has nice finishes and studio, 1 bed and 2 bedroom units. Each has a nice kitchen, central air, hardwood floors throughout and a washer/dryer in unit. While there are limited amenities (no rooftop access, gym or elevator) the building is pet friendly and conveniently located near multiple bus stops and the CoHi Metro. Parking is decent for those with a Zone 1 pass on Newton or on surrounding streets though you need to be mindful of street cleaning on Mondays and Tuesdays.
