Property Ratings at The Ivy at Draper 55+ Active Adult Apartments
We had an amazing Thanksgiving dinner tonight. The effort put into feeding 150 people was award winning! What a team effort by our Office staff and volunteers! It was lovely meeting new people and listening to their stories of why they live at The Ivy.

Hi, your review about The Ivy at Draper made our day! Thanks so much for taking the time to write. Thank you again for the great review! We really appreciate you.
I am very impressed how clean everything is kept on property! The maintenance individuals are very prompt in resolving issues in my apartment. Thank you :)
Everything is perfect…….except for my 10% rent increase. Is there no benefit to being a 5-star resident? That makes me not want to refer and consider looking elsewhere.
Well so far I've just gone through the paces of submitting the application and meeting with the office which was very helpful in getting the necessary items accomplished. So the experience has been delightful and effective which I appreciate so that the red tape has been accomplished according to the guidelines of the ID place apartments
Maintaining the hallway climate is lacking. The temperature in the gym is too hot for summer work outs. The exterior doorways threshold’s are very dirty. Otherwise it’s a good place to live. More organized evening activities would be nice.
I love living here! Everyone has been very helpful! I’ve met a lot of very nice people here and I’m excited to meet more! The book club is awesome & the books have been very good. I’ll add them to my book list

Hi, your review about The Ivy at Draper made our day! Thanks so much for taking the time to write. We're always here for you! If you ever need anything else, just give us a call or stop by. Have an awesome day!
Love the community. Quiet friendly. Great staff. I have totally enjoyed my time here. Love the little dog park and so does my dog. Great place to meet new friends both human and canine. Would love the felines also but, they just stay in their apartments.
Been here two years. apartment is great just the owners and management not so much. they are here to make money and will do everything to squeeze every penny possible. The will not work with you either. get everything in writing. You are charged monthly a rent. then on top on that you are charged for everything under the sun weather you use it or not. parking is very short on supply and charged for. as with any aneminities.
In my 1st 3 months: 1. Took over a month to get an assigned parking space. I had to park two blocks away from apartment to ensure I wouldn’t be towed. 2. Snow removal of parking lot and sidewalks takes multiple days to resolve creating extreme safety issues for elderly residents. 3. Rental Billing has been incorrect all three months. I have sent 16 e-mails to property management and corporate office with no response. 4. Maintenance requests are marked complete without resolving. 5. You can not have a guest. There are only 11 total guest parking spots on property but management has instructed residents with two vehicles to park registered vehicle in guest parking and unregistered vehicle in assigned parking spot creating an issue of all guests must park two blocks away to prevent towing. 6. Property management requires you to make an appointment to speak to anyone in the office but does not answer requests for an appointment. 7. General feeling that property management does not care about the safety of residents.
I really love living at The Ivy. I like the floor plan in my one-bedroom apartment, I like the personal attention given to the residents. This is a well-kept facility. The people I have met here seem to enjoy it. I have been living here for almost a year Management really strives to make living here a five-star experience! There is a feeling of community here. Prior to Covid, we had group events and activities that were very enjoyable. All the amenities I want are here. This is the environment I was hoping for. The proximity of the freeway, grocery shopping and places to eat are an added bonus!
The explanation of the bad ratings is due to previous management that *no longer exists since 2018*. The current management rebranded the apts as Ivy, and is no longer RoseGate. I have nothing but first class service with this apt complex and have been here nine months so far. As long as they do not request a bank vault, I am likely to renew the lease with current management.
We are all now being charged for our carport which was initially included with the rent. A lot of us are having to park far away because they only allow one parking space per apartment. They also force us to pay $100 for cable even if you don't use it, on top of $30 for phone/ internet. We regret having signed another lease. Since they've changed management things have gotten a lot worse.
Property Manager at The Ivy at Draper 55+ Active Adult Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thank you so much for your review. I would truly encourage you to stop into the office to speak about your parking situation. Carports were never included and did always have an associated fee unless there was some type of move-in special from previous management. At The Ivy there are entrances for each wing of the community to make parking very fair for everyone. Of course not everyone can be right in front of their entrance but with the entrances and 3 elevators its very accommodating than most communities. We also do not force anyone to do anything. The media package has been part of the lease option even prior to new management so everyone is aware prior to signing. We truly appreciate all of our residents and are very accommodating.
WARNING DO NOT MOVE IN: This place is the worst. Please do not move in. They have new management and they do not care about the people who live there and do not care resolve any problems. They recently changed parking and are making people pay for uncovered parking. They took away the covered parking that I was paying for and are making me pay the same for an uncovered spot. They don’t plow the parking lot when it is snowing. Sadly, this place is all about taking money from the elderly. I have stayed some crazy apartment complexes and this is by far the worse.
Property Manager at The Ivy at Draper 55+ Active Adult Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thank you so much for your review. We at the Ivy do care about our residents and have resolved numerous issues here at the community. We understand that change can be difficult at times but want to make things as easy for everyone as we can. We encourage you to stop into the office with any questions and concerns. The parking changes were implemented due to the communities steady increase in occupancy once taken over. This allowed us to give every apartment a reserved space remotely close to their home instead of a free for all that would be felt in the long run. The community has a contract with a snow removal company and they have a protocol to plow the parking lot which has been completed when ever it has snowed. Thank you again for your review.
Moving into Rosegate over two years ago, it was a great place to live. The facility was beautiful and the manager and staff went out of their way to be helpful and kind. It was still a nice place to live. That was then, this is now. The facility is still pretty and the staff is still nice, but the on site manager changed, and is anything but helpful and kind. You may think it doesn't matter because you're just looking for a quiet place to live and would never have any problems, well, think again, that's what we all wish for and say, and then something unexpected happens, and you need to mitigate the situation and the manager is horrible and doesn't help or won't help, and you'll wonder why you didn't take heed to this review. Management should listen, have a conversation and be helpful, not make you feel like it doesn't matter because there's nothing you can do anyway, you have to pay your rent. Look at other recent reviews. Then, visit other places that are just as nice, and when you are trying to make a decision where to live, remember this review, and don't choose Rosegate. Good Luck!

We are sorry about the past experience you encountered with Rosegate. The property has since changed management companies as of July 2018 and is now, The Ivy. We pride our self with our customer service and if you ever need anything please don't hesitate to reach out to the office staff.
Do not rent from any RoseGate apartment communities. They are all linked to Millwood Management. They have nice asst. managers, but the maintenance team and what will be fixed is controlled by Millwood. Also, Bad internet and cable options. They charge more than $100.00 for cheap basic service that died on me twice while I was here for 26 days. HVAC, not repaired for the excessive noise, but I was told they were going to come on 4 different occasions. Yes, that’s right, it was so bad I had to do a $4,670 lease termination. The will blame everything on the previous Manager who quit. But trust me, go to the management website at Millwood, they are to blame for what is “incompetency.” The problems were noted, and all they replied to was that I needed to pay the full $4,670 to leave. I still have not received any apology for the problems. The tenants here are the most wonderful people but they are treated poorly. That is the sad part about all of this. Again, do not lease at any RoseGate communities.

Rosegate Draper is a great place to live... It is a 55 plus community with 20 percent of the residents living here 25 and older. It is a good mix of ages. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and the maintenance here is top notch, always on top of our issues, right down to the very light bulbs that need to be replaced. It is very modern looking, and whoever decorated the amenity rooms, really has an eye for style. The grounds are always kept up and looking pretty, and its a good place for small dogs, with a lot of places around to walk them. Trails, and a park behind the facility make it very inviting to just take a walk. The apartments opened in May 2015 and I was one of the first tenants. I loved being the first person to live in my apartment. The only negative thing about living in a new building is a few of the amenities are still under construction. They don't have the café finished, which I was really looking forward to enjoying while living here. And the hair and nail salon, are finished, but not yet up and running. But with that said, they have a great selection of restaurants, and a wonderful store just a block a way. I am glad I chose this brand new apartment building in a great community to live.
