Thank you for the kind words! We're happy to hear that you're seeing the positive impact of our new management team at The Ivy. We are committed to creating a positive living experience for all our residents.
Not ideal but decent if you need something now until something better comes along. I moved in not long ago (waitlisted for other apartments) under the impression I'd be living with one roommate who showed me the place. Cool... yeah no. Well, AFTER I sign and pay for everything and start moving in (3 floors, no elevator, not disability friendly), I find out there are three other people, NONE OF WHICH were the roommate I met under the impression of sharing, and my anxiety hit the clouds. The whole reason I moved here was to have relative quiet and minimal sharing with one other person after being in a toxic household with a relative. So much for a peaceful first start living away from a parent. One average sized refrigerator is not even close to enough for four people sharing a kitchen. So you kind of have no choice but to keep little perishable food. Also ROACHES!!! Not happy with it, but it's just a meantime in between time. Tough it out for a year, save up, and live elsewhere.

Hi, there. We apologize for the issues you've experienced with your living situation. We do offer pest control services to address such problems. Please contact us directly so we can assist you further and improve your experience.
I have lived here for a year the only nice or good is the pool! Bad management the don’t care, nets, fly coming from the drainage, loud music with a DJ people that don’t live here coming to the pool because the gate lock has been broken for over 7-8 month not fixed. Also there was a gun shots in 6/10/22 with a girl getting hurt 6 cop cars. You don’t want move here it’s bad find a safer place!!!!???? it’s really a no stars
Nasty nasty place. Lots of crime and homeless around. You’re next to a hospital which is good because you might have to go there from the crime.
If you have mold call the city. The city had to come fine them with citations after me missing weeks worth of work due to being ill it wasn’t until I checked all vents in my unit and realized the mold problem on our hands. Not only that but we were left a week without hot water. A month without a running/functioning toilet. And much more. Management is a joke. Corporate doesn’t care. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. A jail cell is probably more up to par then here.
In case anyone wanted to move in here .. DONT ???????? i have 1000 different kinds of mold growing in my kitchen
this has to be the most awful living experience I've ever had honestly. Mold throughout the vents, in my shower, outdated appliances. Maintenance team is almost never here and they're always hiring a new team because they always quit. Disgusting, roommates are rude. basically none of the gym equipment works, trash is everywhere, the pool is disgusting and outdated. water damage and ceiling was leaking for months! and ROACHES EVERYWHERE! I can't even bare to explain the living experience. I got a package sent to the front office and it took me multiple times to go up there to actually get someone to get it for me because multiple people told me it wasn't back there and it actually was. The mail is situation is huge. It's such a waste of money and the apartment that they show you is not even close to what you'll actually be renting. The front office is just for show and it looks way nicer to what you'll actually be living in.
Staff are very rude, unhelpful, seem to not care at all. Ive had multiple problems. AC out for 4 months over the summer after several unattended to work orders. same thing with a leak in the bathroom. dryer takes four cycles to dry, no one responded to those work orders either. Gated community with a gate that never closes?????? we even had a armed shooter in the community and they never fixed the gate after that. when I moved in, the place had not been cleaned despite not allowing me to move in sooner so they could clean. Tried to downgrade rooms at one point and was told I could. I decided to wait but when I was ready they told me I couldn't any more because rooms were full but to try again in September. I emailed them at the end of October and they said I’m not allowed to because we are into the lease term (September is also into the lease term) but never told me that when I originally talked to them and it is not stated in the lease either. I will be contacting whoever is above this Brooke person for ALL of these issues. These are just a FEW of the issues ive had. do not live here, atrocious upkeep and costumer service.
At move in the unit was not ready at all. It was filthy, carpet not cleaned, broken moldy window, mold on sprinklers in unit, smoke alarms that expired in 2009, roaches all over, and we had a 3 page list of repairs needed. Maintenance was rude and its been almost a month and still nothing is fixed at all. Additionally they over charged the account and fail to follow up or follow through with repairs or basic communication. This entire move in experience for my student has been unacceptable and now she is away from home living in an apartment with mold, broken windows, and other life safety issues. IF YOU ARE A PARENT SENDING YOUR KIDS TO SCHOOL DO NOT RENT HERE
I share with one other person he is great, the issue is the apartment itself. Before I moved in they told me my room and bathroom would be clean. When I arrived the room stank of marijuana and the carpet was dirty. My bathroom faucet had not hot water and when i went to wash clothes the washing machine didnt work. I had to complain about the maintenance guy (lazy). My microwave didnt work and the maintemance guy was arguing it was fine but it needed replacing. Today is 85 degrees outside and the A/C cant keep the room cool even with the fan on. I went to use the dryer but since it vents to nowhere I had to open the front door because the room became overwhelmingly humid. The pictures for this apartment are very old probably from when they first opened it isn't what it appears to be. Don't rent here extremely disappointed, I am grateful I took on the remainder of a lease for 6 months only. I am totally getting out of here. Management was always assuring me things were going to get done but it took forever. When you need hot water you need it now and oh forgot to mention when I moved in the toilet wasnt working either. What a hassle after hassle.
I really do not know where to start with this place. I guess I can start with the staff since they are the first people you meet when you get here. They put on their smiles and peppy attitudes when you meet them, and from there, they are rude and fake. The complex itself is a dump...Literally. When the garbage dumpsters get full, people toss their garbage bags onto the pavement around it. There aren't nearly enough waste receptacles on the property and there is not a single recycling bin. Staff refuses to clean the grounds of debris, and potholes litter the ground and take weeks to be filled. The maintenance team is absolutely terrible. They do not come to fix repairs in a timely manner regardless of how high priority it is. Our fire alarm went off unprompted one night and it took staff nearly an hour and a half to assist us. When they came in to help, the man who came was clearly intoxicated and did little to help our situation. Was left without hot water for 2 days on my birthday as well. The apartments themselves... Don't get me started. They smell musky, are dirty in every corner, and many have mold/bug infestations. My apartment was infested with fleas and it took maintenance and the exterminator upwards of 3 attempts to rid my room of the issue. The carpeting is disgusting and the only cleaning they do to treat them is vacuuming. There is no professional carpet cleaning, and if you request new carpeting due to the damage of a previous owner, they will ask to charge you for it. The walls are cheaply painted and paint splatters are all over the floor, doorknobs, and counters. It's like a 7 year old painted it, then didn't apply a final clear coat to it, so it is rough and patchy. I had to get on my hands and knees to clean the paint off my floor from when workers came in unannounced to paint my living room in the morning blaring their radio music with absolutely 0 regard for me being there. There are no elevators either, so if you live on the top floor... Good luck moving in and out. I wouldn't even recommend this place to a rat in the sewers. Don't come here unless you like regretting things!
I’m a very tolerant person however, I have reached my limit. I have been complaining about the squirrel(s) in the ceiling for almost a month. It digs between the hours of 8pm-3am smh I sent in several work orders and the only reason it was acknowledged was bc I called out the person who had been receiving my work orders when he came to my apt for something else with a member of management. He then proceeded to patch ONE of the holes on the porch and left the other but never put anything inside of it to kill the animals??????? For over a week I’ve been being told “pest control” is coming...I happened to run into the pest control guy on Friday(he never came to my apt, I was in the office complaining again and he was returning keys) and he said “we don’t treat squirrels” LOL That’s bc he’s the regular smegular bug man!!!! I have not had a decent nights sleep since I moved into my room and as of last week the squirrels have also decided to start digging during the daytime and I work from home?? I am beyond livid at the handling of this situation, uncomfortable in my living space and tired of cleaning ceiling fragments off my bed! The squirrel(s) have made progress due to digging in one spot consistently(right over my bed) so I have two little holes. A lease is a contract for both parties, the apt and myself...my rent is paid on time so I expect issues to be handled on time. This is not a good representation of a company that owns 30 different properties throughout the south. I am very disappointed and highly unsatisfied with the handling of this situation. It does not take a month to call someone qualified so I will handle it myself and call Terminix and send the bill to both the Ivy and Corporate location in Texas.
When i first moved into my apartment, the walls were stained and needed to be painted. I requested it from the office and was told I needed to bring a bucket in and they would give me the paint to do it myself. Never got the paint. Place needs a lot of work and seems like nothing ever gets done. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone unless you’re absolutely desperate.
For an office that has several people working in it and taking care of several issues and seeing how much work they put into keeping the appearance of a great complex, you would think they’d put the same effort on ALL the actual apartments. Now I know it can be tough to keep track of every issue that’s going on in each apartment, but after two weeks you would expect it to be resolved instead of coming up with excuses like, “I’m sorry we’ll get to it as soon as possible” or “before x day we’ll have it done”. I have only been here for two weeks and ever since I moved in I have been missing a desk, its chair, and the dresser, which mind you, is supposed to come with the apartment as it says on the lease, “fully furnished” and I’ve gotten nothing and now have to wait until Monday because they don’t have maintenance on weekends as it would seem. Heck, one of my roommates came in finding just a mattress in her room, no bed frame, and had to fight with management to give her an actual frame so she could sleep for the night, and she also has the same furniture missing as I do. It just goes to show the even though they know exactly how many people are moving in and where and when, they can’t even prepare a decent looking apartment beforehand. Besides that, they don’t fully clean the apartment beforehand or even take out any items left by previous tenants. It’s really sad to have such high expectations beforehand and coming to this. Now I really do not mind the apartment, I really do like living here so far, but as a student, it’d be nice to not have to use the floor, the bed, or like living room to study when knowing I could have a desk in my own space to do it. The staff really are just poorly managed, especially given the fact that most people taking in your problems are college students themselves.
I found mold in the apartment I just moved into. I asked if the apartment would take care of that. They refused and said it was on my own dime. The site is also poorly managed and I have had other issues since living here that would normally be something a decent apartment complex would take care of. Not the case here. If I could give less than one star I would.
I live in a 4 by 2 and all of us love it! all apartments in Tampa come with their own maintenance issues but I have been impressed overtime at how professional and helpful the front office staff in the managers have been. After renovating our apartments and we have truly been very happy and have made our apartment home! The Ivy always responds very quickly and professionally and their front office staff makes you feel extremely welcome. Justin and Samantha at the front office have always been so kind to my apartment are truly hard workers! The Ivy is constantly striving for greatness and we can definitely see that in their performance. ??
This is the worst apartment complex I have ever come across to. Dirty apartments, bad staff.
I lived here for a year and within that year, there were times where I was unable to shower or use electricity in my apartment for days at a time. Ivy was very delayed at fixing the problem and made us wait days without electricity. Initially, we paid for a fully upgraded apartment and received a dirty downgraded apartment with carpet. We were unable to move into the apartment for the first week so that they could fix it for what we paid for. No compensation was offered. I would get back late at night and was frightened to leave my cars because it was so scary and there were absolutely no lights on outside. I had to buy pepper spray to protect myself. They also claim that they are gated but almost never have the gates closed so what is the point of having a gate in the first place. They will try anything to take money from you. I definitely would not recommend this place at all...
My son has lived there for 3 years and you all have been great, along with the upgrades in appearance, there has been an upgrade in service. No place is perfect, but when things go wrong, it gets taken care of promptly. My son graduates next year from USF and we were thinking of buying a townhouse for his graduation, but it seems he wants to continue living there for the time being. You guys are great, I wish I could remember all your names but thank you Magenta (not sure of the spelling...lol) and team for being the absolute BEST!!!
Going on the third night with NO HOT WATER!! The office is ridiculous and will try to give you the run around on any problems you have. For starters when we moved in we got a bunch of stuff taken by maintenance and still haven't gotten it back after sending numerous emails and office visits, I finally just gave up. Maintenance is a joke. They hooked up our washing machine wrong and it caused half of the apartment to flood with 2 inches of water and now the baseboards are coming off of the walls. The microwave was completely broken for the first month and a half of living here and after a handful of work orders and phone calls down to the office we finally got it fixed. Moral of the story don't expect anything from this place. Their managers and office secretaries are rude and they don't care about you or their apartment complex. They may be one of the cheaper places to live in the area but it 100% SHOWS!! Their prices are also increasing in the fall by about $20 so do yourself a favor and live somewhere else! Also these comments back from the apartment complex are funny saying "a manager would love to sit down with you.." HAHAHA your manager can't even give me a call back and is never "available" to talk on the phone because she's busy!! Possibly copying and pasting the comments on bad reviews???
Upon moving in the 4x4 at the Ivy, I immediately noticed that the bathroom in my unit had poor draining in the sink and a water system with which you can't adjust the water temperature to "warm"; sink water was either be cold or boiling hot. I called the Ivy people to fix the issue and they didn't even do anything to fix the problem so I had to deal with washing my hands in the bathtub. Also all the water, even if I've filtered it, smells like chlorine and towards the end of my stay there were a lot of ants coming in. It was worse on the first floor but they finally got to the third floor (where I lived) and it was a problem. Would not recommend to anyone!
This location is managed terribly and the living spaces are filthy. Don't let the updated front office fool you. Once you get past the gates you'll be staying in one of the most run down locations I've ever stayed at. Management lost my key on move in day, there are bed bugs EVERYWHERE, and when I tried to get the issue resolved, I was told to wait a week in my APARTMENT INFESTED WITH BED BUGS for an INSPECTOR to arrive. No relocation was mentioned. Disgusting location. Avoid at all costs.
The property management here takes no accountability for not fulfilling any requests you make. I call when I'm locked out my apartment due to my access card being malfunctional. The people say they will send someone. Forty-five minutes later I call back like what is going on. They say they called the person on post to contact me 40 minutes ago,, then switch me to the person that says, "oh, this is the first time I got the call." She was lying and the call person lives in the same complex. When I finally get to the front office, she's there hanging out with her boyfriend. No accountability, no apology, no respect.
My daughter rented at the Ivy apartments while attending USF . The new takeover of the property created a nice, updated atmosphere. However, the management is horrendous. After numerous septic back ups(the original when my daughter was in the shower), were never taken seriously. They actually pointed to my daughter as the culprit. She worked full time in down town Tampa and took three classes at USF. I called several times with my concerns. The young staff, some whom are students, did not have much authority to make decisions. They were doing the best that they could do. I called Campus Life & Style, the parent company, to discuss the situation. After much run around and lack of customer service, we made the choice to leave. Please be aware that there are concerns at this property that will not be addressed. I wish I knew prior to putting my daughter there.
Everything was fine when I lived there But when I move out they charge me $165 for the damages I didn't do and since then I can't reach the manager
I love my apartment because even though I am away at college and not around my family, it still makes me feel as if I am home. The apartment is very spacious, allowing everyone to have their own bathrooms. I love that it is different from most apartments because even if my roommates are late on rent, I'm not held accountable. However, my favorite thing about my apartment complex is the new renovations, it makes me feel as if I am the first person to live here, even though I am not.
It is a decent complex. Everything is included in your rent, parking, water, sewer, trash, electric, cable and internet. Office could be run a little better and could more polite to guess. The trash could around a lot more because it makes the complex look messy. Lots of events for residents.
I enjoy living here the people are cool the pool is amazing but the staff is very unorganized so if you can deal with that part I say go for it
