Property Ratings at The Jaxon
none of the amenities listed are actually available to use. including but not limited to the pool, gym, laundry facility(doesn't exist) and leasing office. we pay for these things and have not been able to use them for the entirety of our lease. management lies consistently about when they will be open again.

We're genuinely sorry to hear about your disappointing experience. Our goal is to provide full access to all amenities and we understand your frustration over their recent inaccessibility. We are taking immediate action on these concerns and appreciate your invaluable feedback.
This property was amazing back when it was called Sonoma Ridge. Since then, it’s been handed off to other managements and the quality in service has significantly gone down. The staff is rude. Repairs take way too long. I’ve been waiting years to get my windows fixed. Anytime I report them, I get told that parts are coming. Stove never works. They always “repair” it but it always stops working in less than a week. They refuse to exchange it. There’s hidden fees in their contracts and they won’t let you know you’re late with them until it’s time to be evicted. Gates are always broken but they claim it’s a gated community. Overall, a beautiful property that’s fallen into horrible hands.

Hi there. Due to the anonymity of this review, we are unable to identify you as a resident. Please stop by our office so we properly can address these claims in the most efficient way possible. Thank you and we hope to hear from you promptly.
I have called maintenance 6 times now about the power in my kitchen not working. They have sent out the head of maintenance twice now and he has told me it has been fixed multiple times. I do not have a way to keep my food cold because my refrigerator turns off for hours at a time and my food goes bad. This is a basic requirement for apartments to provide. This has been going on for almost 2 months. I have asked to speak to the property manager multiple times with no response. Hopefully she will see this review and actually call me. The fact that you cannot provide a working refrigerator and power in a kitchen for a tenant for two months is beyond me. Also, I have lived her almost 10 months and my apartment has flooded. They refused to replace my carpet and now I have mold. My garbage disposal has broken 3 times. And my heat was out for days in the middle of winter. But this situation that I am in now is what has lead me to write a review. I understand that things break at apartment complexes, but the fact that I have told these people probably more than 6 times now to fix the power in my kitchen and fridge so that I can EAT and COOK is absolutely ridiculous and deserves to be shared with others.
I've been a resident of Sonoma Ridge now the Jaxon for two years. The staff is friendly, and they respond to maintenance calls quickly. That's the good news. The bad news is there's almost no security, on site is security vehicle parked at the front gate with no one in it. At nightfall there's no parking available. And they charge you for every service imaginable. There is an onsite laundry room but for some reason it's almost always closed and locked. It's an okay apartment but you can find better.
La propiedad es muy tranquila y me gusta hacer ejercicio por los alrededores La gente de la oficina es amable y gentil. Gracias por toda la ayuda que me dan.

Rats and infested with roaches! The building needs to be torn down and rebuilt seriously! They know it and and act as if the problem doesn’t exist.

Its a quiet community for the most part. Biggest complaint is not getting notices until a week after the date noted on them and the day before whatever action is taking place happens. We need better notification/communication.
This is a nice apartment community that is bankrupty friendly. This community Is willing to give a person a chance at renting an apartment again. Thank you for that
I would recommend Sonoma Ridge to anyone I meet to reside here. Because when you first come into the community you get this warm home feeling, like your inner self is saying this is where you need to be. That's what made me chose this place when I first visited. The community is gated and very nice, neat, clean and very well maintenance. The leasing professionals greeted me when I walked through the door. They were very kind and respectful very open And all my needs was met. Even my 3yr old enjoy them as well. Very great people and community.
When I first went to Sonoma Ridge apartments on September 19 for a tour, it was a very quick, but nice visit. About 2 days after my visit . I returned to the office on September 21 to complete and submit my application with all the required fees. My only contact at the property was Latonia. She was generally nice during my interactions with her, but she always seemed unsure about things when we spoke. We went over my application together in the office the day I submitted it and we made sure all names, contact info, and anything else needed for verification was included. As soon as I got back to work, she called for information that she forgot. Over the next 2 days, she kept asking for more info that was missed. All apartments I've rented have taken a max of 2 business days to approve my application. It took that long to make sure the app was even ready for review. BUT, she made sure to run the credit and background check so my money couldn't be returned to me. I called the community every day to ask about the status of the application and was repeatedly told that the Property manager hadn't even looked at it yet. It is absolutely unacceptable to have a an application sitting unattended for almost 2 weeks. I decided on Sept 29 that I no longer was interested in Sonoma ridge and called to cancel my application. Latonia called on Sept 30 asking if I was sure I wanted to cancel the app. There was STILL not an approval on my application 8 office days after I submitted it. I let her know again that I was not interested and how ridiculous it was because she still didn't have a decision for me about the app(4 days before move-in date). Latonia called me on October 4, the move-in date, and I did not answer. In her voicemail, she said the manager had approved my application and asked if I wanted to move in that afternoon. I don't understand why she called me when I let her know I was no longer interested. I did not call her back. She called again on October 5th. I'm glad the lack of efficiency and regard for people's time in this office was shown before I signed a lease. It took 2 weeks for an application to be approved. Imagine how slow the office would be if I'd moved in and needed any type of maintenance. Would I have been given the run-around then as well? Would the property manager still always be unavailable? Would he leave my requests unanswered for 2 weeks? This office is unorganized and seems to have an overall slow approach to property management.
This complex shares space with two complexes. Leaving early in the morning or late in the evening can be miserable. It's close to the highway. Major fast food places and Cracker Barrel are a mile down the road. The gate sometimes doesn't work. When it does work, it stays open too long. The grounds are beautiful, but sometimes hidden under trash. Most mornings, someone cleans up the entrance. There's plenty of parking space. The buildings are currently being painted; it looks nice, but there are uneven clumps. They began painting our balcony a month ago and haven't finished, but have managed to start other projects. All of the property lights were upgraded. Every stairwell is brightly lit, and the walkways are no longer shady. They've added breezeways in the entrance and down the middle of the complex. The speed bumps are obnoxiously high, especially the very first one. It was very clean when we moved in. We have the smallest available unit, at just under 600 sq.ft; non-renovated. Newer units are more open concept because four cabinets are removed. Flooring varies depending on which unit was renovated. The entry and kitchen area are semi-open concept. The bedroom has a sliding glass door to the balcony. The kitchen is small, with a wide, deep sink. There isn't enough counter space though. Our balcony is exactly 6'x8' and looks over a brook that can flood (up to the wire gate once), but is usually below the bank. The balcony and storage doors both swing outward. Our bedroom door didn't close, the kitchen and tub faucets were broken. These requests were taken care of the next day. The only thing that wasn't truly fixed was the tub faucet. It drips, dribbles, or pours. We've only had one bug here, and it was let in by accident. It's fairly quiet. If you listen hard enough, you can faintly hear the highway and occasional beeping. A dog might bark. The staff are generally polite. Some of them may have been here awhile and dealt with crazed tenants. Chronic exposure gives them a tough demeanor, but if you actually need something taken care of and ask them politely, they will work with you. I've had several packages misplaced- not "lost" misplaced. There was a small misunderstanding with the rent renewal, but one of the ladies helped us figure it out. I deducted a star for the gate and maintenance.
Not a bad place to live because of the location you will have a problem with bugs which is my main reason for leaving. Spiders are an huge issue but it's worth taking a look at if you need a place in the area that's affordable and gated.
Sonoma Ridge is a quiet place and pet-friendly and a great place to live.
I rate my current apartment as being average, only for a few things that I have't liked while living at Sanoma Ridge. Customer Service at the Leasing Office needs a lot of improvement. As you can never never seem to get someone to answer the phone when you call. The other issue is that the front gate is always broken. And when it gets fixed, it only last a day. The most important amenity when searching for a place of residence, is security. Which means a functioning gate is necessary.
