San Antonio blends a rich heritage with modern innovation, resulting in a metropolis teeming with true Texan heart. San Antonio’s distinctive environment reflects centuries of style and a diverse array of culture, which is best exemplified in the La Villita Historic Arts Village. The Alamo may be the most renowned structure in the city, but there are plenty of magnificent historical buildings to see—from the Emily Morgan Hotel to the Meyer Halff House.
Stretched along the San Antonio River is the famous River Walk, where residents and visitors alike can walk or bike from the San Antonio Zoo to the Witte Museum, the historic Majestic Theatre, the Shops at Rivercenter, the Missions of San Antonio and back again.
The city and the surrounding region offer endless opportunities for exploration.

Property Ratings at The Joseph at Huebner
I absolutely love living here! The office staff is so appreciative in always hosting events like today Tacos & Coffee in the leasing office. Maintenance is on top of solving any little issues we have. The manager is so nice and always working hard. The leasing agent is always helpful answering every call we make. Definitely recommend this place!
Before you move in make sure you tell them to clean the air ducts, thats all mold on vent and its filled with mold inside. These apartments have the most worthless staff. I go in to make a service request and they tell you that you have to do it online. Made the online request and never heard anything. Went in to complain and they still didn’t do anything I even called and they actually just went In and reported that it was complete without ever coming into the apartment.

We completely understand your concerns. We're aware you spoke with our Community Manager concerning any pending issues in your apartment and these were resolved last week. If there is anything pending in your apartment to resolve, please let us know. We want to ensure moving forward you have a better experience.
Please do not move in here and waste your hard earned money. I promise there are better apartments better mangagement and better maintenance elsewhere.
Our apartment has rats. I wish I could terminate my lease, I’m the mother of newborn twin boys and the thought of them living in a rat infested apartment makes me so incredibly depressed. The pest guy set two sticky traps which first off I don’t even know if they could even hold a rat and also they have done nothing. I desperately want to move . also when you put in a maintenance request it takes them weeks to complete. I just want a to run a bath for my boys and I haven’t had a drain plug for the bath since we moved in. These apartments are a joke and it takes speaking with the president of the company to get anything done.
Was my first apartment renting so I had no expectations. Management is unprofessional and unorganized (to the point where they lost two of my payments and expected me to repay them) , the complex always has trash everywhere and it stays there until the wind decides to pick it up. I had to deal with multiple rats, only got to kill one of them (at my own expense) because "pest control" didn't really seem interested in the issue. New management even decided to let everyone to get unlimited reserved parking spots, so if there's even any parking spots left in the minimal parking around your building, you're most likely going to end up walking half a mile up the hill to your apartment. Don't let the "new and improved" signs fool you. Glad my lease is up.
DO NOT LIVE HERE. The girls in the front office do not even know how to pretend to be nice and professional. My AC has been out most of the summer, and even with all of my requests put in the only way to make them actually fix it was to contact the regional office. If you have any sort of complaint they will try and blame you and will never apologize. There is mold spreading across the outside of my door. The fixtures in the apartment are so cheap and break super easy. There is always dog feces in the front. The pool has been closed most of the summer, and the hot tub is never working. Their "gym" is just a treadmill and a elliptical. Oh, and the pool room has broken sticks. The apartment is made to look good if you only see the front part. Walk around the complex and ask hard questions before ever signing any lease here. You will definitely see the attitude I am talking about.
The office is incompetent, they promise you things and then don't remember what they said! There is a crack on my sealing where there was a water leak and you should see the lousy job they did patching it! My air conditioner stopped working on a hot summer day and the guy that was supposedly on call said he was "the gardner" and the apartment didn't make repairs on weekends. They keep the front of the complex nice, but if you live in the back their is trash all over and we actually watched a dead mouse decay on the sidewalk. The apartments have a roach problem too!
I've been living here over a year and have dealt with a cigarette odor infused apartment, upstairs leaks, a ton of noisy neighbors and a huge rent increase. Overall we can't wait to move out. Renters beware, the area is nice, but these apartments need huge improvements.
Gables apartment complex fair size community with one pool and one none working hot tub. The foundation of my apartment is currently shifting and I have been told that there is nothing that can be done about it. The front door and bedroom door only remain closed when locked and the bedroom door has no lock. Due to foundation issues my walls are three different colors and the tiles in the bathroom are two different colors. Other then that minor maintenance requests are usually handled with in a few days and as long as you don't ask for apartment upgrades the leasing staff is very helpful.
The only reason that I would recommend this apartment is for the maintenance staff, they have been extremely nice to me this entire time. However, I have many different complaints after having lived here for two years. 1. My biggest issue has been and continues to be my AC, I have put a total of 18 requests in to fix my AC for the two years I have been here. I am still having the reported issue, and I have contacted the Regional Manager and that seems to be the only way to get business done. They have told me that the issue is due to the outside temperature, but I have lived in 3 other apartments and have never had this issue during the summer. 2. Roaches, lots of them. Also, during the winter be prepared to hear rats, racoons, and other vermin crawling in your roof and walls. 3. The prior manager was extremely difficult to deal with, there is a new manager and maybe she will be different. So all in all, Do not move here.
