Lower Highlands, known as LoHi, is a family-friendly neighborhood just three miles outside of Denver, where you’ll find the Colorado State Capitol, Civic Center Park, the Denver Art Museum, and so much more. LoHi boasts a variety of local burger joints, taverns, beer gardens, and coffee shops such as Recess Beer Garden and Root Down, an old filling station turned New American eatery. LoHi is located near major parks such as the City of Cuernavaca Park along the South Platte River, boasting biking and hiking trails with scenic city views.
Hirshorn Park is a smaller neighborhood park that’s worth a visit, housing baseball fields, basketball courts, and a playground. Nestled along Interstate 25, commuting is no issue in LoHi, especially with Denver so close, but if you don’t plan to drive, there are plenty of public bus stops on the area’s major roads.

Property Ratings at The Kasserman
Just moved to Denver from nyc and had the best experience working with Eileen. She toured the apartment via facetime for me as I could not come see it in person beforehand. The apartment is just as described and staff members are so quick to reply with any maintenance issues. The garage, bike room and package room all feel really safe and the location is perfect. Very happy with my first apartment in Denver :)
I called twice and left 2 voicemails because I wanted to tour the apartments and didn't even receive a call back. If a prospective new tenant can't even get them to answer the phone I can only imagine what it's like for the people who actually live there.
I've lived in several apartments throughout Denver and this is by far the best experience yet. The Kasserman is in the heart of the Lower Highlands neighborhood, close to downtown and even closer to trendy nightlife spots like Postino, Happy Camper and Avanti so it's the perfect community for anyone who works downtown and wants to be in the thick of it all. Noise proofing is excellent - you won't hear any noise either above or below you or to your adjacent apartments. The residents are mainly all respectful, working professionals. Would recommend for anyone who wants to be in a hip part of town close to the best bars and restaurants.
