Everyone in staff is lovely - from the front desk, to the building staff, to the leasing office. They’re wonderful! I like that the community is smaller than some and that it allows for the staff to really connect with the residents. If I ever have concerns, I have no problem addressing them with the staff and they’re quick to find a resolution. I really love living here.

We love it here!! It's been a wonderful place to live over the last year. It's extremely dog-friendly and baby-friendly. We are also such a short walk to restaurants and other fun places to go!

The concierge staff was friendly and helpful with our move-in. The complex was flexible with our key pick-up and with the parking of our 26' U-Haul. Our apartment was clean and well maintained upon move-in.

Our previous PM, who was not responsive and didn’t care much about resident needs, left over a month ago and has not been replaced so there is no leadership. One of our two elevators has been broken for more than a month so wait times are exceptionally long at peak times of the day. I’m really disappointed in Bozzuto. Right now, the only good parts of the Kingsley are the concierge, maintenance, and housekeeping staff. And the community. Hard to recommend this place right now.

Very quiet and extremely well kept community. Wish units weren't so dated feeling with the dark finishes and paint tones. Also wish the windows were thicker for those of us who face N St Asaph St with the Harris Teeter delivery truck noise, especially with the looming new construction directly across the street at 720 and more restaurant noise. Maintenance is wonderfully responsive. Smart thermostats in the units would be on par with newer offerings in the neighborhood. The elevators have broken multiple times since I moved in less than a month ago. The leasing and move in were way more confusing than needed including letting me pick up my keys then changing to new locks overnight and forgetting to tell me so I was locked out on my move-in day.

Very close to restaurants, cafes, and King Street. Close to airport and Washington, DC. Coffee bar and tea on first floor. The gym is clean.

The staff at the Kingsley are incredibly kind and welcoming, and they made me feel so at home right away. The living accommodations are beautiful, and with so much community space (like the 24 hour gym, gorgeous club room/roof deck, and cozy fireplace sitting area), every part of the building feels welcoming. Living in historic Alexandria is a dream, and there seems to be at least one delicious restaurant on every nearby block. Did I mention it's also two blocks from a lovely park right by the water? Old Town is a pricey area for sure; I'll admit I was on the fence at first for that reason. But after a month of being here, it's already my favorite apartment I've ever lived in. Highly recommend to all. :)

Though we love the location and style of apartments we have had quite a few issues with our apartment this year. Our shower has not worked more than it has worked, many amenities were broken or closed though we were paying for them, and the noise from Harris teeter the loading dock has been almost unbearable. Also when renewing our lease the team did not seem to be fully transparent about the actual value of our current apartment. We are staying but moving into another unit with hopes the noise and appliances will be better. One really positive aspect of our stay here has been the desk and maintenance staff. They have been nothing but kind and helpful to us.

Great location in Old Town. Couple of issues with interior paint, the garage security gate was broken for the first several weeks I lived here (now fixed), some very minor plumbing stuff, but overall very good.

The building is very noisy. The walls are as thin as paper. Management is laughable. There are barely any amenities to speak of - the gym equipment is outdated, the “roof” has a total of three tables, and the courtyard is rarely in working condition. Good location, but can get so much more for what you pay for as close as across the street. Won’t be renewing my lease.

Very good apartment! I like living here and would recommend, if you like the small-town-feeling of Alexandria. Very friendly staff - but could you please clean the garage at least once a year?

Thank you for your 4 star review of The Kingsley. Our parking garage is swept and the garage entranes to the elevators are cleaned, swept and mopped daily. The power washing/detail cleaning of The Kingsley garage garage is completed once a year. The next power washing/detail cleaning of The Kingsley garage will be completed in the Springtime 2023.
Love the lobby entrance with the cozy fire. Everyone is very welcoming. The furniture is very nice and the property is very well maintained.

The building is in a great location and the apartments are nice—good layouts and updated. The property management is horrible. We are curreeently in a lease here and regretting it. We have had multiple nights in a row getting woke up at 2 am from false fire alarms, where we have to vacate the apartment complex for 30+ minutes with an infant son and dog in the middle of the night. The management refuses to do anything about it, claiming it’s due to the Harris teeter grocery store that shares the building. The lack of responsibility and care for a basic staple of living- being able to sleep in your apartment through the night— is appalling.
I have lived at the Kingsley for just over a year now and love it. It's a fantastic location in Old Town North, right above the Harris Teeter, and minutes away from the waterfront, GW Parkway, and Metro. The staff is extremely helpful: I can't count the number of times Zoya has answered questions I've had about various topics, and she's always warm and welcoming as you come in the door. Maintenance is quick and responsive to feedback. I found them very helpful in fixing a persistent appliance issue. All in all, the Kingsley is a gem in the heart of Alexandria.

The price is fair and the people are wonderful and the service at all levels is excellent. The maintenance folks are very responsive and everyone who works here is friendly and helpful. I have lived in the Washington, DC are for more than 16 years. The Kingsley is the the best of all seven rental units and apartment communities I have lived-in during this time. I have been a resident for two years now. The staff is incredibly friendly and somehow remembers almost everyone's name. Before the COVID-19 pandemic they had arranged for several The common area and amenities are above average for the area and always kept clean and tidy. Maintenance is quick to respond to, and determined to resolve, any issues that come up. The location is perfect too. The Kingsley shares its building with a Harris Teeter grocery store and is within walking distance of great restaurants, bars, liquor stores, fitness studios, coffee shops, etc. The metro, post office, waterfront parks, and historic King Street are also within distance. Prices are also very reasonable for the area. My only wish is that the gym was a bit larger. I have found my home here at the Kingsley and so happy for it.

I moved into an apartment on the West side of the building (Facing N. St. Asaph) and it happens to be RIGHT above a loading dock for Harris Teeter. We were not informed of this before signing the lease. I have never lived in a more noisy apartment before. Trucks are there between 4:30am and 11pm at night every day. The whole apartment shakes, and it is impossible to sleep. It used to not bother me so much because I was gone during the day for work, but now that I am working remotely it is unbearable. I spoke with the apartment, and they were unwilling to install different windows to decrease the noise or let us move to a different apartment. I would NOT recommend moving here unless you are facing the courtyard and I would clarify that when I spoke with a leasing agent because they will not volunteer that information.
If I could give a zero star rating to this building I would. The leasing management is extremely disorganized and lacks transparency. When I mentioned that I was looking to move in July they quoted me rates for an immediate move-in without realizing that they would not be able to honor those rates for my move in time frame. I placed a deposit with those misquoted rates in mind and after I placed the deposit they got back to me via email and told me that they would not be able to honor the originally offered rate quoted because I was looking to move in July which is longer than 10 days from when the apt would be available. While I understand that every building would like their apts rented out, there must be transparency in the rental process especially after a security deposit has been put down. Additionally, the leasing agent (Emily) was unaware that there would be a price difference in the rent and management was completely inflexible about honoring the rates misquoted by their own employee. Additionally, it is extremely difficult to get any of the members of the leasing office on the phone despite numerous voicemails. As a health care professional in this highly stressful and unprecedented time, I am simply appalled. It is not the change in price, but the lack of integrity that is shocking. If the word of a leasing agent is so worthless , then why have one in the first place?! And if her word carries weight, and she has made an error and a security deposit has been placed based on it, then to honor it would be right thing to do. This whole process has been a nightmare is their lack of flexibility to honor their own mistakes at the cost of a few dollars is just poor business management and personal relations.
New construction with historical vibe. Harris Teeter (grocery/pharmacy) I building with Trader Joes two blocks away. On bus lines and walkable to metro. Downtown King Street about 8 blocks away. Still "up and coming" area that has some rough spots. Rent is higher than it should be for not having 24/7 concierge.
