if you decide to sleep in a room close to the road they will do absolutely everything in their power to stop you from sleeping. very bright lights in the balconies turn on when it gets late and make it a struggle to sleep without applying a cover to the door or buying an eye mask (and even THEN). if you're not someone who wakes up early they'll make sure you do with their hired cleaners using gas cleaning devices out to destroy your ears, and they come by mind-numbingly often.
For starters, there's the place itself. My apartment in bldg R was super noisy much of the complex sits on Redmond Way which is noisy 24 hours a day especially that section since it is a hill so you are always hearing Truck air brakes at all hours (conveniently when the management first showed it me they showed me a unit in the back which became suddenly unavailable when said yes). If you get past that, there are the bugs, every time I stored a couple of paper bags off they would scurry in the light of day. Then there are the thin ways hope you like hearing everything your neighbors do (if you are into that kind of thing, maybe). I was broken into within a couple of weeks of moving in, the management didn't even bother to fix the shattered door jam they just put in a bigger bolt. I installed my own security camera (at my own expense of course). Still reading? Okay onto the amenities. The Pool has the oddest schedule ever they leave it closed on Holidays like a perfectly sunny memorial day because the management is lazy. The workout room got a nice update but there are no bar weights, just machines that are pretty low end. When I moved out, they harassed me about every little thing nickle and dime you because that's probably how the poor managers get any money. do yourself a huge favor and go elsewhere.
Very old model appliances which consume power so you will be paying humongous electricity bill. No kids play area. Smallest gym I have ever seen. Swimmimg Pool opens only 3months in a year. Your online order never pick up by leasing office. So if you work or study in college you will face lot of problem to collect your package. Lot of theft happened in recent months. If you inform leading office they ask you police or suggest buy camera to monitor your house but they never do anything for tenants safety. Not a gated community. There is not even fence for the community. Ground floor don't have privacy in their backyard. Every year there will be 8% rent increase. Huge penalty for upgrade or down grade or breaking up the lease. They least bother the tenants. Never rent the gates of redmond.
Four words. Do not do it. From my experience, this place is the worst. First off, the place is old, old and did I mention OLD. Carpets are worn, sliding screen doors won't stay in the track and they're constantly adding rouge and lipstick to the place to make it look better to try to compete with much newer apartments built or being built. Plus, the floor-based heating system is ancient and inefficient. Either it's too hot, too cold, but never just right. With all the new apartments available in Redmond, plus the apartments being built, you would do yourself a huge favor by going with one of the multitude of other options. This place is owned by a soulless corporation that will treat you like a line item on an Excel spreadsheet. They will lure you in with a cheap annual rental agreement and raise the rent each year until they can catch up with the rent levels of other area apartment complexes. My neighbor who is moving out next week after four years living there told me they raised the rent on him significantly each year. And they wanted to do it to him again this year. After meeting with one of the office agents and explaining to them that he paid his rent early each month for four years so why would they raise the rent again for his growing family. The GOR agent basically told him that they didn't care that he paid his rent on time each month. Either he signs the new lease agreement or move out. He decided to move. In my case, after nearly two years of paying rent early each move and not paying rent by the 6th day of the month, I received a "notice to vacate." I couldn't believe it. It was the tail end of my rental agreement and the writing was on the wall that this place was not the place for me. I eventually moved out as well. In the case of Gates of Redmond, the notion of "Buyer Beware" certainly applies. Proceed cautiously if you choose to do so at all - which I wouldn't recommend.
Our new house is 1 bed room has biggest living room which i have ever seen in 1 bed room model .Ventilation is great though out the day. Great restaurants and grocery outlets are in walkable distance is a double bonus :-)
