Yep, living on the lagoon is exactly as amazing as you'd imagined it would be. Waves gently lapping on the beach-lined waterfront, a pair of gulls quietly bobbing on the surf. This is just a typical welcome home when your home is part of this serene waterfront existence. Stainless appliances, in-home washer and dryers, your own private kayak launch, a 24/7 strength studio, a pool, an on-site pet spa and a laid-back waterfront clubhouse are all here for your enjoyment. And because proximity is paramount, we're close to the neighborhood dog park, Highways 92 & 101, the Hillsdale Caltrain stop, and Leo Ryan Park (home to windsurfing lessons and leisure galore).

Foster City is home to several large corporate offices, but its central location in the Bay Area puts it just minutes away from San Francisco, Oakland, and Silicon Valley, making it a great rental option for commuters—positioned right at the foot of the San Mateo Bridge, even getting to the other side of the bay is easy.
Recreation on the water is quite popular among the locals, with extensive waterways making life easy for boaters and the frequently-windy conditions on San Francisco Bay drawing windsurfers and kite surfers (those who enjoy nice views of the bay but prefer to stay dry can take advantage of the Bay Trail for walking, running, or biking). Public services in Foster City are top notch-- the crime rate here is exceptionally low, and the schools earn excellent marks across the board.

Property Ratings at The Lagoons
I've been living in this apartment complex for a grueling 6 years, and I can say with absolute certainty that it has deteriorated into an absolute nightmare, largely due to the abysmal management. Here are just a few of the nightmarish experiences I've had to endure: Appalling Maintenance: The maintenance situation is beyond belief. Management takes laziness to a whole new level, responding at a snail's pace to resident requests, and often outright ignoring them. When they do decide to act, it's a half-hearted effort at best. Broken pipes, sewers, and leaks? Expect to live with them for weeks on end as if they're some twisted form of modern art. Frozen Pool: The pool they boast about is more like a frigid, neglected pond. It's cold and unused for most of the year, thanks to their negligent management. I'd rather swim in an ice bath. AirBnb Invasion: Half of this complex has been turned into an AirBnb circus. The temporary guests who occupy these units often misbehave, show zero respect for permanent residents, and treat the place like their personal dumping ground. The noise, the trash, and the constant stream of strangers are a never-ending nightmare. Lack of Security: This place might as well have a sign saying, "Welcome, Thieves!" There are no security cameras to deter or catch criminals. It's practically an invitation for theft and vandalism. Smoking Everywhere: Despite being labeled as a smoke-free area, people here smoke wherever they please, and management couldn't care less. The stench of cigarettes wafts through the hallways, making it unbearable for those of us who value clean air. Lastly, the lagoon might look stunning, but I wouldn't recommend swimming in it. Most of the time, it ranks high on the list of bacteria levels, and public beaches nearby are consistently closed for swimming. So, enjoy the view from a distance, but don't even think about touching that water. In short, this apartment complex has become an epitome of mismanagement and negligence. It's a place where residents are subjected to perpetual frustration and disappointment, all thanks to a management team that couldn't care less about the people who call this place home. Save yourself the misery and look elsewhere for a place to live.

Unprofessional. After dealing with Lagoons management we did not just feel cheated and frustrated, but were actually cheated out of $610. By delaying responses to crucial information, changing conditions of agreement and not communicating they managed to push us away from the Lagoons Apartment complex and refused to return our deposit.

Hello, We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear your experience with The Lagoons was not pleasant. Though we have spoken, please feel free to reach out to us should you need anything further at TheLagoons@PrometheusReg.com -J Harvey Sr Neighborhood Director
Been living at the Lagoons for a year now. The property is great as you're very close to the water and a short walk away from Leo J. Ryan park. Community feels safe as I've never had an issue with receiving packages. Had a few instances where random cars park or block your parking space but more of a minor nuisance when it happens. Clubhouse is nice with a reservation feature but it's kind of pointless since you never get confirmation so requests to reserve go straight to a black hole. The biggest flaw of living at the Lagoons is nonexistent management team. Good luck reaching them via phone or email because it feels like a lottery system whether they pick up or respond. Maintenance requests are variable. I've had instances where the response was quick and others where I have to bug the team a week later because they still haven't followed up on requests. My stay at the Lagoons thus far has been decent but could be better if management team/office was more accessible.
