Property Ratings at The Lakes
I would want my friends to experience the comfort and convenience that I experience living here.
Nice apartments, nice neighbors and Emily and Kara are great.
I'm so happy I chose to move here! It's clean, quiet and such a lovely setting. Would highly recommend
the maintenance people are friendly and respectful. They always respond to a problem with 24 hours.
I recently moved and couldn't be happier!! Would highly recommend!!
Apartments are spacious and the views are lovely with beautiful trees and plantings and ponds. Peaceful and restful. Just what I need.
My stay here at Madison at the Lakes has been nothing but positive
May people I know couldn't afford to live here, so I wouldn't recommend it to them.
I need direct access to exterior. Being out of doors is most important to me. I’ve picked out several buildings that would work for me. I love the water views !
We have the best maintenance staff! More important than the great work they do is how friendly they are! Whether they are fixing something in my apartment or we are crossing paths in the parking lot they always say hello!
I always recommend this apartment community when someone talks about selling their home or moving
The whole community is very well maintained. I'm very pleased with living here.
I was pleased with the prompt and (to the best of my knowledge) successful repair, especially since I have only been leasing my townhouse for two weeks and didn't know what to expect.
meets most of my criteria and Emily is an amazing employee. bubbly, friendly, positive knowledgable and makes things happen quickly. LOVE her. She's a huge asset for the community.
It’s in a great location as far as school districts.
This community is well maintained and has an excellent property manager and maintenance staff.
So far all of my experiences related to the apartment community have been positive. Responses have been prompt, questions have been answered fully, and everyone has been very courteous.
Love the location to stores, hospital, and parks. Like the walking trail around the complex, and like neighborhood
Maintenance is always very fast and very good. The guys are friendly and professional. I could not imagine better service!
Issue was fixed the same day and a note was left on my door to let me know.
We have only been here 3 days and we like it so far.
Property is beautifully maintained and my apartment is roomy and comfortable. A lovely place to live. The staff are so very friendly and eager to assist.
The apartment is comfortable and located in very center of the city, next to supermarkets and transportation
We feel that The Lakes has every convenience to make us comfortable. We would recommend it to friends because they have similar likes.
The staff here works hard to keep us all happy.
I would recommend to a friend because it is the perfect place to come home to when you work a lot of hrs. Quiet and and relaxing
Once here as a tenet, few improvements such as new paint are provided.
Since we are just arriving I can not provide an informed opinion. However my experience with the leaseing and communiy represenative is very favorable.
Having the ability to call someone to take care of a problem is wonderful.
The community has a very respectable and home feel while still being apartments.
The level of quality and speed of the response to my service requests exceeded my expectaations
Property Manager at The Lakes, Responded To This Review
Thank you for the 5-Star rating! We appreciate your feedback regarding our excellent maintenance service!
This community is nice, and quite a good place to raise children, nice, and safe environment with an excellent school system.
It is very very quite living here. This is a very safe neighborhood. Great location and amenities.
Lovely place to live, grounds are lovely, we just like it here.
There are many reasons why I would recommend Madison at The Lakes. It is a quiet community with well maintained grounds and a one mile walking path. It is in close proximity to grocery stores, banks, hospitals, shopping centers and restaurants.
Great location -- easy and close access to shopping, dining, convenience stores, medical/hospital services, and major highways.
I would recommend this apartment to anyone who does not need many electrical outlets, does is satisfied with one small bathroom, and does not need extra space for storage other than the spacious closets in both bedrooms. Unfortunately, the apartment I am in is one of the older units. The floor tiles are mottled from being overly waxed, they have gouges and and the edges of a few are not able to be reglued to the floor. The heat and air conditioning unit are quite loud. The kitchen appliances are new, but they are not up to the standard set by the price of rent and the value of the apartment space. E.g. the dishwasher is useless for storing and cleaning well-rinsed dishes; refrigerator space is small and the stove/microwave combination are not as responsive as they might be. In all, this unit does not measure up to the unit I was shown when I was looking for a rental. When I was shown the unit I am now renting, I was assured it would be cleaned, painted and made to be as welcome as the model I had seen. My rent increased to the degree that I am nervous about making this my life-long residence in retirement Nevertheless, I love the area and the setting for these apartments, especially the grounds are well-maintained and maintenance is very attentive and responsive things which need to be fixed or repaired. I am looking into the possibility of moving to an apartment which as been better maintained and will better accommodate my needs.
It's a bit in the expensive side, but other than that, I really like it.
We were "at home" here. Moved from DC to start a new job, and signed a six month lease before purchasing our home. Deedee used to be in the front office. Very helpful and very nice. One day without notice, she was gone. The new management company took over soon after that, so I'm guessing they fired her and replaced her with other people. My wife and I value the property entrusted to us, so we cleaned out the apartment prior to moving out. The property manager did a walk through of the apartment a couple of days after that and took pictures of the stove, fridge, washer, toilet, and other areas. They charged us $100 for "cleaning charges" and $5 for a broken light cover. The dent on the wall made by the movers wasn't even cited ("We'll just paint over that" was the response). The stove is original, so I was perplexed they would cite us for the "cleanliness" of that. Everyone knows that over many years of use stoves get debris on the bottom if you don't clean them! This place pinned the dirtiness on us! Furthermore, we learn that the new management company is updating the units anyway, so the stove, fridge, and washer will all get replaced! I would not recommend this place to anyone! We also saw mice and other rodents outside our apartment, so steer clear. We also noticed an ant problem and asked that maintenance take care of it. They came around with a Raid can! That isn't going to solve the problem.
I have happily rented a 3 br 2.5 bath townhome at the Lakes apartments in Allentown. It is located in the West end of Allentown and is in walking distance of Giant, Chipoltle and other great stores. Target, Weis and other stores are a short 5 minute drive and the lehigh valley mall is a short 8 minute drive. The property is well maintained (landscapers are there every Monday and Friday in the summer) and snow removal is prompt in the winter. The community itself is quiet and friendly and many of the residents are either retired or working professionals. The pool is excellent and is never crowded with plenty of space, tables and lounge chairs. There is a one mile walking path, a tennis court, and a basketball court. There is plenty of nature including ducks, geese, blue herrings, and other cool critters. One thing I hear from everyone who comes to visit is "wow this place is big!" and that is the truth. The rooms are large and spacious in all of the apartments. There is a prompt and courteous response if there is a need to have something repaired(although not much has needed to be repaired) and plenty of new upgrades have taken place since I moved in 4 years ago. I love love love this place and highly recommend checking The Lakes out!!
