Although it is the state capital and located deep in the heart of Texas, Austin generally has more in common with places like Portland, Oregon rather than other large Lone Star State cities like Dallas or Houston. Consistently named one of the best places to live in America, Austin combines passions for food, live music, entrepreneurship, iconoclastic attitudes, and Texas traditions into a wholly unique cocktail that people just can’t get enough of.
The expansion of the tech industry and the wild popularity of music festivals like Austin City Limits and South by Southwest have boosted Austin’s profile as one of America’s most in-demand communities of the 21st century so far, attracting people from all walks of life and every corner of the world.
Regardless of their atypical culture, Texas pride runs deep in Austinites. Many of the city’s hip, young entrepreneurs are more than happy to deal in classic regional staples like Tex-Mex food, cowboy boots, and country music.

Property Ratings at The Lakes at Renaissance Park
The worst communication not worth the rate of the apartment. If you are ok with fixing things that break yourself then this is the place for you.
The management staff is wonderful -- they are so fast and extremely competent with repairs, excellent at communicating, go above and beyond to meet any requests. Would definitely recommend this place to friends and family for the experience of working with the staff alone, but it's also a great location with solid amenities.
I moved to Lakes in Jan 2022, the management team was very helpful and supportive right from the start. Each and every issue once I entered the house was immediately resolved. It has been a pleasure so far. The new management has been effective in providing a pleasant experience to everyone - so kudos to Bell Partners team.
The Lakes is quiet, convenient to shops, and has plenty of amenities. The rent is a little high, but it's still a good place to live.
Muy tranquila la propiedad y muy amable el personal.

Management has changed 3 times this year. This property is a lemon. Extreme water damage, termites, and rats. New company is trying to make the best of it but can't seem to keep up with requests or keep employees.

I like the quiet but management leaves slot to be desired. If they recognize your name on the caller ID they dont answer they just click a button to keep the line ringing on your end. They dont fix things.

Do not rent from these people. I walk to my door at night in darkness because they cant be bothered to change a light bulb in the entryway outside my apartment. Then I sit in 80° heat at NIGHT because they wont fix my A/C because youre on the third floor, it just gets hot it took months to get the stuff fixed that actually got fixed (power outlets, Washing machine, sliding door)

New management seems to be slowly improving the area (more dog waste bins, pool area, tennis court, horseshoe, parking lots) and working on getting to know the residents through events. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Nice, quiet community, great amenities, friendly staff, convenient location, and a great value for the price.
the application process was smooth and easy, they even helped with getting same day utilities. the staff is awesome.
El lugar está bien, agradable buena ubicación, aunque demoran en las reparaciones
To begin with parking here is a nightmare, parking spaces aren’t all the same size! Maintenance takes FOREVER, There are roaches EVERYWHERE! Tried everything and they’re still here. Lastly the rent fluctuates apparently, looking forward to moving out.
I would not recommend anyone moving here. The complex has been sold and now nothing is getting done. Repairs are nonexistent. The sidewalks and hallways are filthy haven't been power washed forever. There are lights hanging from electrical cords in the hallways. My apartment had a radon test and the results were never shared with me. At the mail boxes several have been broken into and the USPS stopped delivering mail at the complex. This was never communicated to us nor has a date that mail service will resume. They removed some of the garbage bins and now they are overflowing and nasty. Anything to save a buck.
I have been waiting for more than two months for my dryer to be fixed and my dishwasher has yellowish water logged in it for quite a while. I have raised many service issues but no one has bothered to come to my apartment to resolve them. I keep finding millipedes in my apartment, which is unsafe for my toddlers. Every morning I get up and scan the house floor for millipedes, which I do find almost daily, before I let my kids off the bed. This is a terrible and stressful situation. I recently got a call regarding my lease renewal, while these issues remain unresolved for such a long time and no one has bother to call and resolve these issues. Every time I call the office, I get the response that there are 20 emergencies and that the team will look into it as per the queue. I have sort of given up on trying to get these issues fixed and plan to move out when I lease ends this month.
Terrible apartments staff is nice but the apartment then self need ALOT of fixing
This apartment is a mess, for the past 3 months l regret, no day without issues either poop will fill my bathtub or my living room will be water log as it is now l will leave it as it is, and will claim damages.
I would most likely not renew my lease. When emailed about specific information, I was responded back with questions about payment for something else. I dont feel as though these people care about our quality of living. With Covid going on, they have closed the office since March, including the swimming pool which should be opened! There is no way to get in contact with administration, because they do not respond to my emails anymore.
Things here could be handled better
We have been very pleased by the response time and installation of new appliances,as well as other maintenance issues. Something as simple as replacing light bulbs in the walkway...made such a difference!
I've been living at The Lakes at Renaissance Park for 3 months, and I'm very pleasure with my decision to stay here. I would recommend everyone to live here.
The front office has lost my packages for weeks at a time,my apartments deadbolt broke and the cylinder came out of the lock, the complex refused to reimburse me for the lock smith visit, even after the maintenance guy was unable to get the door open and told me to call a locksmith.
I went and looked at these apartments and were cheaper than most not the best conditions of apartments or appliances but I was just looking for the next place to live for a year cheaply. Come to find out they don't tell you anything about a deposit untill you a;ready pay them 125 App/Admin Fee then call and tell me I approved but will have a $200 NON REFUNDABLE or a $400 Refundable fee to move in nothing was ever said about a NON REFUNDABLE EVER OR I WOULD OF NOT EVEN APPLIED. So the rude said that I would not receive any of the $125 I paid even though in all the emails I receive from them it says nothing about if I cancel only the application would not be refunded nothing about the $75 admin fee that they didnt do anything for they didnt have right a lease or anything. I am contacting Austin Tenants Council and my bank to dispute charge against them. They keep your money and then want to keep your $200 NON REFUNDABLE FEE ALSO kind a different place to live dont let them rip you off also!!!!!!!!!
Since BH Management has acquired this property I can’t get maintenance issues resolved. Not happy with the new management.
It was a rough first start but this management company and office staff, plus maintenance truly went above and beyond and I’m very grateful! There’s a nice tennis court area, pond with ducks and lots of grass areas to walk your dogs. It’s a fairly quiet area and although it’s not gated I truly do feel like it’s a safe area.
I have rented apartment all over the world (14) and I have to say this was by far the worst experience. The management company should take control of this property before something bad happens. No communication from the staff. The apartment was dirty when I moved in. (Hairs on the WALLS and not the kind from your head). They could not keep up with my paperwork. They messed up my lease dates. Charged add-on's for thing I never received. I would not recommend to anyone. Just sad. The property management company should take control.

Nice place with great amenities and a quite area easy place to relax
THE LAKES AT RENAISSANCE COURT is a great place to live. It is a quite ,well kept apartment complex with beautiful grounds and good people. The staff is professional and friendly and always ready to help, this is a community. It is a safe place to live, and a great school system for the young ones.
I have lived at THE LAKES AT RENAISSANCE COURT since 2008. It has great grounds with a pond and ducks. It is a good place to raise children with an excellent school system. There is close shopping for every need ,and easy access to Austin and Round Rock. I love it here.
I cannot complain about the rent for this place. In the current market the space and lay out is fantastic. The office is always responsive. I completely understand that it is an older building, which can come with some character. My problem is with maintenance. They are beyond unresponsive, and the work is sub par at best. Our apartment was not even close to move in ready by the date, and no one had informed us of any delays. Any time an issue crops up it is weeks before they can get to us. That aside its a great starter place for anyone. The staff is courteous.
