Property Ratings at The Lakes
DO NOT RENT HERE they don't fix anything you have to bother them so much to do the job. Also MICE is a huge problem it costs too much to live here with these problems
Just moved out of The Lakes, and happier for it. The apartments themselves aren't terrible, but they don't hire enough maintenance staff, so the staff they have on is overworked and overbooked. I had to call FOUR time about having my dishwasher fixed, and they sent someone to check the smoke alarm before they even looked at the dishwasher. I had the water heater above me break, leaking water into my closet, which they didn't replace the ceiling tile for 2 months. I had my own water heater break that took weeks to get fixed, my kitchen sink break, my toilet, etc. Plus, the neighborhood is becoming more and more unsafe. My car and 2 others were broken into, a racial slur was graffiti-ed on our building door, and neighbors have told me about people trying to break into their apartments. Plus, when the lamp posts outside went dark, Hen Web never fixed them (that was about 2-3 months ago, and they're still not fixed since I've moved out). The Leasing Office, Main Office, and Customer Service will all give you different answers to the same question. Everyone I've ever spoken to has been really nice, but there's no consistency or communication between their offices. Basically, you're getting what you pay for. The Lakes were what I could afford at the time, but as soon as the rent went up and was comparable with other complexes in the area, I was happy to move.

I moved here in March I was a little skepitable due to the older style apartments that are most of the time known to have a bug or rodent issue. However I absolutly love my apartment. The area is quiet the building and apartments are bug and rodent free and parking is great. Also love that the building is controlled access and laundry in the basement. Kudos to maitenance as well they come quickly when you have a problem and are friendly even after hours emergency calls. The leasing staff is awesome too. Very personalable and helpful kudos to Aynae at Winter Green Apartments. I really enjoy calling Delaney Springs Home.
When I first moved in, I saw everywhere that maintenance was a problem here. The buildings are from the 70's and have issues, so no matter what you do, something will break and you'll need to call it in. We've had major issues here, including a leak from our dishwasher into the downstairs light fixtures, and it takes days for maintenance to come out. With that one, the "fix" was that we don't use the dishwasher and they left. I had to call every day to get someone back out, and it was 3 more days for them to come out again. We even had a squirrel in our ceiling (and eventually he burrowed into the kitchen) and it took days.
