Property Ratings at The Langford
Thin walls thin roof, loud upstairs neighbor who stays up all night stomping across the room. The vibrations can be felt from the normal footsteps, I get no sleep, I get no response to my complaints from The Langford.

My car and my husband's motorcycle have been vandalized in the last year. You cannot even order Door Dash without it being stolen by the time you reach the garage. The management does not care and will do nothing about it. Every hallway smells like pee. The gate is always broken so anyone can enter. There are parties at the pool every single night until at least 10pm with blaring music. Non-residents are able to come and go as they please. I feel very unsafe here even walking to my car in daylight.

I’ve lived here for over a year and it’s a mess. Management has changed 3 times in the last year. They don’t clean the halls, garage door is always broken, pool is dirty and management doesn’t care.

The complex and units appear luxury because they are luxury. however, management is doing nothing to address car break-ins, shootings, trash and dog poop in hallways, the list goes on. there are even live-in criminals that just throw a mask on when they feel like plundering. with proper management and security this could be a nice apartment but currently it is not.
There was a shootout on my 3rd floor. bullets up and down the halls and through the doors of multiple units. I told management I wanted to break my lease early and they told me that wasn't possible as this shootout could have happened anywhere. lmao I was told, "this could happen at the new place I moved into." Yeah, thanks for the life pro tip, I'll take my chances elsewhere... I'm moving out and I'll be contacting an attorney. I tried talking to management, but they didn't care or offer any help. Do not move here.
Do not lease here run! It’s not safe especially if you live by yourself. The building is supposed to be a secured building, it’s not. (Homeless person asking for money in the “secured hall”) There is nothing luxurious about this property. The building is poorly constructed. The leasing staff, won’t address your concerns (they will say anything just to get you out of the office). The garage gate is constantly broken. The building is keyless, sometimes your fob won’t work. The hallways are poorly maintained (the hallways used to be cleaned on the regular). Oh and we had a shooting. I repeat run!
Parked in garage before the gate with no signs like 2 hr parking or anything. My car was towed within 3 hrs of visiting a friend there. They say there’s signs on the outside of the building. What the heck!! How about put a sign in the parking area. What a smug bunch of management.
Property Manager at The Langford, Responded To This Review
Hello - I apologize that you had a negative experience when visiting one of our residents. Like most communities, we have parking/towing policies in place to allow for ample parking for our residents and their guests. We do have signage posted at all entries of our parking garage as well as in the parking garage. In addition, we send emails to our residents regularly with policy reminders and updates to help prevent these type of situations. When visiting our community in the future, please be sure to have your friend, who is a resident, register your vehicle as one of their guests. I am happy to discuss our parking policies with you further if you would like to reach out to our Leasing Office. -Tristan Brown, Community Manager
The apartment units are gorgeous! Very modern; great lighting and layout. I've seen reviews about the noise; I personally have not had any issues with noisy neighbors in which I am grateful for. My problem with this community is the management and overall upkeep of the community. I'll start with the management: They are extremely unresponsive. They never answer the phones, respond to emails weeks later if they do at all. When you finally get a hold of someone they slow walk the issue or try to down-play it. If you walk into the leasing office to speak with someone directly since they do not answer the phones or emails, they don't appear busy at all. There's a big issue with their company culture. I believe there's new management but have never received an email or any communication letting us know of the changes. That in itself shows the lack of professionalism. As far as the upkeep of the community, the dog park is generally always a mess. Residents get away with not picking up their pet waste. In fairness, this issue has gotten better over the last two months. But there's still major room for improvement. There's always trash around the premises, there's no parking space lines in some areas. Certain places around the apartments wreak of dog pee (could be easily power-washed). There's literally been a pile of puke just left there to decompose for weeks near a main entrance. I can go on and on about this place. If you're considering moving here, don't! At least give it a year or two for them to figure it out, if they ever do. For what you pay here you can find a better place to live in Dallas and have way better service. One of my biggest regrets in life is signing a lease at The Langford.
This is a beautiful apartment with gorgeous finishes and great amenities. However, where it lacks is proper insulation for noise. Having moved in super early in 2021 I was one of few residents on the 3rd floor and never noticed any noise. After the building started to fill, I was disappointed to find that the noise insulation was seriously lacking. In fact, when I had someone move in on the fourth floor above me the noise was so disruptive at literally all times of the night, early morning and day that I’m now leaving before my lease is up. I’m really sad about it because I truly loved this space and hoped to stay for at least two years initially. The loud thumping from the unit above me would make its way through even the loudest setting of my white noise machine making it hard to sleep at night, especially when the noise was present at 4am some mornings.. If you’re renting here, go for a top (4th) floor unit if you can. You’ll love the space and the staff are super helpful and really kind. However, the thin walls are where I draw the line for myself as a renter who values peace, especially as I work from home and am on several conference calls daily.
When I toured The Langford I had a great experience with Suwarni who was very helpful and very detailed oriented. I was moving from out of town and she explained everything so well because of that I decided to sign my lease. However one thing I noticed about the apartment I was going to lease was that the tiles were lifted because of water damage and I was told it was going to be fixed before my move-in date which was 3 weeks (April) after my tour. I’ve moved in and It’s been 3 months (July) my tile has still not been fixed. I was told there were some delays because of COVID so I was very patient about it. I hate feeling like I’m disturbing anyone or being an inconvenience to anyone but for such an expensive apartment I have every right to be. A week ago I met with the manager and he told me they had received the tiles for over a week and that they would come to fix it this week; it’s been a week and no one has come to fix it. I’m so livid and honestly hate this experience because I’ve been misled so many times and it’s ridiculous. Please make sure you tour the apartment if you’re interested in living here because I can’t decorate my space because my furnitures are lifted and not leveled because of the tile situation. It’s a beautiful place but my experience with the apartment has not been the best.
What a hidden gem on the outskirts of Dallas in a very up and coming area. About 15 minutes into my INCREDIBLE tour with Suwarni I turned to her and said I'd seen enough... this will be my future home. Suwarni was extremely knowledgeable on the property and was full of zeal making the stresses of apartment hunting all the more enjoyable. During my tour they had a resident event where I met the property manager Josh who was extremely friendly and personable, I can tell he runs a tight ship at the property with expectations of amenity standards and staff professionalism at an all time high - exactly what I was looking for. The property is clean, new, and extremely well thought through construction wise. I can not wait to move here!! Well done Langford Team!!
