Maintenance has truly exceeded our expectations! Ozzy was fantastic in assisting us with our pest issue and fixing our door on October 25, 2024. He was incredibly friendly and helpful. Additionally, we had someone come by on November 7, 2024, but unfortunately, we weren't home to catch their name. This wonderful person went above and beyond by bringing a heavy Amazon box upstairs for us, something we had been dreading for weeks. We were genuinely touched when we returned home to find it moved upstairs, especially since they had only come to fix our microwave handle. Best after a long day at work surprise. We would love it if you could find out who this kind individual was so we can express our gratitude. They truly made our day, and we want them to know how much we appreciate their thoughtfulness. The Super Senior Citizens , who are not earning and have no income, should be offered discounts in the rent. Moreover there should be a quiet and peaceful living environment for Super Senior Citizens , but sometimes they loose it due to noisy and foot stomping upstairs non responsive neighbor(s) . So the management should do something.

As a Realtor, I have researched several apartment complexes for clients. When the time came that I needed a place to land, Cortland West Plano was the perfect choice for me! The location is convenient to major freeways, shopping and restaurants. I love that some units have attached garages. There’s a feeling of community here, especially among the families with children. Really love living here, the office people are super great, they are very nice and answer all my silly questions (I have a lot.) I love my home, the remodel is wonderful, I had looked here a long time ago and it was basic. But now, it's incredible! The layouts are very home like and don't feel like apartments. The service team is always scooting around and smiling, they have only needed to come in once, but when they did it was fast and great, really nice guys. I'm happy to be here and plan to stay a few years!

Be careful when you get in, even if you are told it’s a renovated home with all new appliances, that could be a myth, and very thoroughly check all the issues in your house, and don’t be surprised to rude behaviors of the staff. Insects are very common, we have got Roaches, lizards, Bee hives, and small bugs. Only thing positive about this place is everything is very close by.

Courtland West Plano is one of the best communities to stay in the Plano/Frisco area. It got great connectivity to supermarkets, malls, and other convenience stores. This community has ample space for play areas for kids and other recreational activities such as multiple swimming pools, bbq, soccer fields, etc. I would recommend Courtland West Plano to everybody looking for a rental apartment in Plano.

It is too far from the cortland standards. Noisy neighborhood ( construction) with constant water shutdowns ( no mention on the timings), fitness area under construction over 9 months, not proper communication from the management ,suddenly out of the blue they will come up with some compliance ( on car sticker expiry ) which will not benifit the residents, and the list goes on. Over all not satisfactory. Suggestion to management they have to work on mode of communication for sensitive/urgent matters.

Renewing
The clubhouse is still under construction but the outside stuff has improved a lot. I got a newly renovated home 10 months ago and I signed again. No complaints really, the inside is just what I need and pretty. I’m on the top floor and hear nothing, but when I go down I hear kids playing and stuff. I don’t care much for events but liked the succulent giveaway. They do fun stuff if you’re into that. I like the neighborhood vibe in an undated but not urban way. Park and stuff for families and kids if that’s what you’re into. I’ve only needed maint acne once and it was quick and good. I don’t really need the office people much but when I’ve gone in they seem cool and helpful. Renewing was easy. Options on pools so when one’s crowded you can shift, I like that too.

Cortland West is a neighborhood community. It is not the normal apartment living. Beautiful parks to walk through. Dog parks, playground, pools and Fitness center. Newly remodeled homes. Personally I have lived her for going on 8 years. Every year I look around. Have yet to find better. Plus the staff are amazing!

Amazing Experience
Viewing apartments close to my new job and came across West Plano. The interiors are nice with new appliances and wood floors. The pools and the 24hr gym will be convenient as well. What stood out from the other apartments was the customer service. Brandon was patient and extremely helpful.

Glad I stayed
I’ve lived here for a few years now and was ready to move out in 2021. My maintenance wasn’t being fixed and my home needed updates. Nothing worked right and no one seemed to care. I’m glad I stayed. Cortland came in and made so many improvements! I moved to a renovated home and it’s a completely new world! We finally have pools, the place is clean now! It looks so much better but more importantly things work! And if I need help, they fix it! I’m really glad I stayed now. I love my home. I love the staff. I love the changes. They said they’re updating the park next and I can’t wait to have my nephew over now! I’m proud of where I live now and not embarrassed to have company. Yeah the rent went up. But it’s worth it! Same prices I was seeing other places but I have a garage too. It’s a great place. Recommend.

unbearable place for you to sleep
Living in this place is the worst! You can't sleep, because you're going to always hear your neighbor upstairs, walking loud! running, your apartment will vibrate from the loud noise they are going to make, and if you complain to the administration they only tell you that you should call the police! Call the police for heavy footsteps? Why is the apt built without sound protection? that's absurd!! but it is the only solution that they give you that you should call the police! because they can't do anything! So at 2am you must wake up from the loud noise produced by your neighbor and you can't do anything! because if you talk to the neighbor he tells you that he is walking (like an elephant) and the administration supports him that's living here! not sleep, you pay rent to not sleep and the worst thing is that you can't count on the support of the administration either! because they are unable to figure out how loud the sound is! but of course they already know it!! which is a built apt without noise protection! do not live here is the worst thing you can do! If I could give a lower rating, I would.

As the community is 24 years vintage, there will be some noise heard from neighbors, this happens in brand new communities also. Problem after problem
Maintenance requests are not resolved timely. The office never returns phone calls. I leave very polite detailed messages and never a call back. 2 weeks it took to have pest control visit after escalated service request sent in through their "handy app". There's foundation issues and plumbing issues, water pressure is low in the showers. I've lived here for 1.5 years because of convenient location. I'm appalled at the lack of customer service from the new management team.

Currently the only on hold pest control requests we have tracked are pending cleaning and sanitation needs from the resident. If you had a request for clean out, we do need you to declutter the home and detail clean before we can treat fully and properly. If you are in a renovated home, the showers are designed for water conservation to save on your monthly bills. If that is not ideal, we can adjust it to have higher pressure. We can certainly help with any foundation or plumbing needs. With a community of our vintage in age and so many mature trees and greenery, we can run into trouble here, but are also here to provide a quick resolution whenever anything arises. New Management, avoid at all costs
Avoid this place at all costs. They recently switched under a management that's completely incompetent. We've had a broken faucet in our kitchen for over 4 days, completely unusable and we've went in person to complain to management and every single time, they said they're gonna send someone over, and every single day they haven't sent anybody over. It's the same spiel every visit and we are running on the 5th day now. We even bumped it to an emergency fix and that still means nothing in their eyes. The old management was good, but for the amount of money you are paying for rent, I suggest you go elsewhere if you want even a bit of competent services.
