Property Ratings at The Links Rea Farms
If you work from home or want a peaceful place to live, do not choose this apartment. They will walk you around and show you a unit, however not disclose the many events that happen on the greenway or the loud cars that drive up and down the streets. AND beware of renting an apartment by the trash compactor areas. There are no designated times trash is picked, so you will hear loud waste collectors and their trucks at ALL HOURS of the day and night. How is it that a trash collector comes on a Sunday night at 1AM? It happens, and the leasing office may say it is a third party and they are unable to advise them when to pick up but do not believe the hype.

Great location (walking to Harris Teeter, Whole Foods Market, many restaurants, and Life Time!), spacious units with true 10 ft. ceiling, friendly and helpful staff. I enjoyed my time here in the past year or so. Sadly had to move due to work relocation to out of state.

Every single Maintenance request I have ever requested has been handled immediately, and completely. I can't say enough about the level of service and responsiveness from the team.
I would not recommend because some new tenants start smoking in their patios or inside their apartment units and all that horrible smell started to transfer to other apartments.
I would and have recommended this community. That is what it is, a community that makes one feel at home rather than just renting an apartment.
It's a beautiful community. Rea Farms has been one of my favorite places to go before I moved in. The apartments and buildings appear new and are very very well kept. The amenities are also very well kept and truly the community is everything you need! Having Harris Teeter right in the community is an added bonus.
The office hours have really dwindled since I first arrived which is upsetting. The response time on the elevator was very upsetting the other day. The elevator was spewing out very loud announcements and there was nobody to contact. I stood forever waiting for somebody to attend to that. I finally went to the office and a staff member helped me out. Dogs are running amuck. There are too many dogs for heaven sakes. I love dogs but come on, this is a kennel. The stairwells are filthy. There are dead carcasses of slugs from the summer still on the sidewalks. In most countries, people hose down the sidewalks once a day! The parcel pending lockers have been wrong many times in the last months. I just find the overall cleanliness is not up to par. I really feel most of the people living here are just here to go there - I am beginning to understand why. People do not obey the trash rules at all, there are things lying around the hallways every day.
I wouldn't highly recommend it because of some of the issues I've been experiencing in the apartment, however, the outside community is well maintained and offers so much at walking distance. If a friend were to ask, I would tell them to check out the surrounding apartment complexes first before considering The Links.

I would recommend this community to someone looking for a top floor apartment, or who wants access to shopping centers close to home.
I have already recommended The Links at Rea Farms to friends. The apartment is very modern, clean and sleek. The amenities are wonderful. I can't wait to use the swimming pool and the business center and lounge.
The community is very well maintained. The level of engagement for residents is second-to-none. The number of events and the level of service make this THE place to live in Charlotte.
Rent is a bit high; a bit lower rates and would suggest to friends.

Amazing service team!!! I rarely have maintenance requests but when I do, it' almost addressed the next day and FIXED!!! I continue to be surprised at the level of care.

The staff has been amazing since I moved in three-years ago. My sister is looking to move out of New York and recommended The Links to her. She visited prior to COVID and loved the place. It really is home. Kudos to Christine! Everyone we have interacted with have been professional, courteous, friendly, and I could to on. :)
We feel The Links is a cut above other properties in the area that we have seen or lived in. The property is well-maintained and staff is professional and responsive.
Pool can be a bit rowdy - loud music, glass, smoking. Some folks act like the pool is their personal space and not a shared environment.
Loved being in an amenity building and the apartment interior is very nice. The common areas were well taken care of. Loved thewalkability of the Rea Farms & Waverly communities. Don't miss hearing my neighbors flush their toilets and take showers b/c of the poor sound proofing. Would tell people to choose an end unit if possible.
I love the community and amenities , and the overall style of the apartments, plus it is in a good central location to get anywhere. I have heard great things about wine down and other events. I would say the one bedrooms are tiny, both the living room and bedroom, and can be somewhat dark, but the two bedrooms are too high of a jump on costs. I wish there were more options such as larger rooms for one bedrooms,, but it' a great starting point.
This community is very well run and extremely clean. We had not lived in an apartment in 20+ years and for our interim needs to live here, this surpassed our expectations!
Rules are not followed with the signs indicating no skateboarding Alot of ppl don't clean up after their pets after going to the bathroom. Sheets, bed coverings etc shouldn't be allowed to hang on balconies to dry. Makes the community look trashy.
I would recommend the Links because personal are very friendly and treat you with respect.The apartments are very nice.

This is my first time living in an apartment complex. I am so happy to be here at the Link. The residents are nice people are friendly and respectful. The 24 hour gym is my favorite it is always clean and smell so good! I love it here

I "would" based on the location and amenities, along with proximity to shopping and restaurants. - I "would not" based on the traffic, noise, and lack of enforcement when it comes to basic community standards. Taylormade is for show only, they do nothing.

I would recommend to anyone wanting to be in the Ballantyne area. Very good experience with leasing, the area just wasn't for me anymore. The walking grounds are great too!
