Lancaster, Ohio may be a small city, but it packs plenty of things to do and see into its location. Just about 33 miles from Columbus, it certainly has plenty of things to do nearby, but Lancaster has more than that, including class, character, and a lot of charm. That's why finding apartments for rent in Lancaster, Ohio is not hard to do. Whether it's the tradition of the Native American tribes that once dominated the area or the peaks of modern lifestyle coming through this traditional town's streets, there's a lot to enjoy about this city located in southeastern Ohio.
While the community is small, there are some designated neighborhoods within it that are worth considering if you are looking for apartments for rent here. There are also condominiums and homes for rent throughout the region. Mostly governmental, since Lancaster is the county seat of Fairfield County, as well as commercial, the City Center area has a handful of apartments, condos, and homes.

Property Ratings at The Lodge at River Village
Good place to live. I have been here for two years and little complaints. Cheryl in the office is very pleasant and service requests are responded to very quickly (12-48 hours). I’m leaving because the rent keeps going up but not my paycheck. Otherwise I’d be happy to stay.

No one EVER answers the phone. I've had maintenance issue for weeks now and it's like they don't even care. the only time I hear from them is if I'm late paying rent.

Hi, Thank you for reaching out regarding your concerns. If you currently have a work order in for repairs needed, due to the current situation, we have been focusing on emergency work orders only for the safety of our residents and staff. We will reach out once we proceed with other requests. If you are trying to place a work order, please feel free to leave a message on our voicemail if we are unable to answer or visit our website at Lodgeatrivervillage.com to place your service request. Thanks The Lodge at River Village
Ever since the new management came in, they have allowed the property to become run-down. None of my calls are ever answered and none of my complaints have ever been resolved. If you put in a maintenance request, you will wait months for nothing to be done. There is trash and cigarette butts everywhere. Management does not care enough to take care of the buildings themselves, let alone the landscaping. Save your money and move elsewhere.
I have lived here at The Lodge for 9 yrs now and plan on staying here at my home. I've seen a lot of positive changes at this property that keeps getting better. This family owned and managed place has always felt like home! The owner has a hands on style that builds on the confidence of the many long time residence to stay. He cares! Needs and concerns that may arise from time to time are addressed professionally and in a timely manner. He has personally assembled the on site staff his self w/ the integrity that reflects his way, doing things right! That every tenant has different concerns and they will be taken seriously and treated w/ respect. The place is like a permanent vacation w/ all the amenities. We have cook outs, watch the games on the community big screen TV, corn hole, horse shoe pit, safe area playground that includes a sandbox w/ toys and dog park. The grounds are nice to walk around w/ guests to show off where you live at the Lodge. There is comfort w/ every household that there is on site emergency maintenance. Really, if there's a problem someone comes right over. People feel safe at the Lodge as well. Never any problems. This is why I chose to call The Lodge at River Village my home.
Since changing over to new management, everything has been bad! They have not processed our rent, they won’t return our calls, and worst of all they towed our car without any notice. They claim to tell everyone by “hand delivering “ the notice and we have never even met the new management or had any communication. Now we are out $150 because of them! Do not rent with them!

We're sorry you had difficulty understanding the process of resurfacing the parking lot. We did hand deliver notices, and management and maintenance went out of their way to knock on doors and attempt to contact everyone before towing occurred. In a multi-family complex with over 100 units it is important to keep the property well maintained and the only way to keep the parking surface in good repair is to perform maintenance. Notices were handed out with ample notice. Please reach out to the property manager, who is in fact in the office and available. Sorry if you have not had the change to meet, but again, with 110 units it's not feasible for him to personally greet every person. Most tenants have taken the time to stop by the office to say hello. We hope you continue to make the Lodge your home and things go better for you in the future.
My boyfriend & I just moved in with our small dog almost a week ago. We haven’t had any issues what so ever. This is by far a great apartment complex to live in. We absolutely love it!!!

I am a long-time resident of The Lodge. I have been here before and after all the changes. This is a wonderful place to live!! I never had any problems before but it is so quiet and peaceful. The office staff are wonderful and always go above and beyond. It truly is a fabulous place to live :) Would recommend to any of my friends or family. You should definitely come and check it out!!

Thank you! Residents like you are our greatest asset. We're happy you continue to call the Lodge home.
I moved into this complex a few months back and I have to say that the leasing lady was very rude and unprofessional. My floors are caving in and maintenance refuses to work on it. There’s no parking spots and the rent is so unbelievably expensive I had to get a 2nd job. I can’t wait to move! I don’t recommend this for anyone.

Very sorry for your experience. If you still reside at The Lodge, please be assured that we have new management and the owners are very hands on and run a family operation that really understands the value of customer service.
Awesome place to live! Im even more impressed with how much the staff truly cares and makes it a point to let you know it. Super friendly people and really peaceful. All in all i love it here!
I was nervous about renting here after reading some of the old reviews but I love it here! I've been here for about a year with my daughter, there are kids around to play with and other parents to help keep an eye on the little ones while they are out. Summer was a blast with everyone cooking smores around the fire pit and cooking out on the grills. While the kids are playing at the playground the grown ups are playing volly ball or horse shoes. The lodge is very nice and a good place to chill and watch games or have birthday parties for your kids. Our girl scout troop uses it now for their meetings. The apartment complex is definitely a cool little community to live in!
My boyfriend and I moved in not too long ago from out of town. I was hesitant at first, due to the reviews and ratings but spoke with Aimee about the apartment complex being under new management and how they have worked hard to turn the place around. I sent an email about 3 issues with the apartment and that very week had maintenance out to take a look and fix them - the fastest turn around I have had at an apartment complex and this is the third one I have lived at. I am very impressed with the management and their dedication to improving the apartment. Don't even read or take into consideration old reviews... They are not accurate.
I moved in a few months ago and have been very satisfied with this complex. It was in great condition when I moved in, and maintanance has been a big help when needed. The site manager, Aimee, is also wonderful! I highly recommend The Lodge.
I actually love this apartment! It's quiet it's comfortable and close to everything I need. The store the mall and parks! Me and my wife both love it. We are newly married and this is definitely a great first apartment!! The owner Is a very genuine and caring man and definitely cares about this complex! I moved in myself in late June and saw the transformations that he's made and it's quite impressive. The office is SUPER friendly and so are our neighbors! It's really been great! The ONLY issue I've had is a small gas smell that they are working on but that's only a small FIXABLE issue! Other than that small thing it's been amazing and I'm thankful:) my wife and I both are !!
Recent renovation is extremely shoddily done. The apartments are very overpriced. The maintenance is worse than before renovation. I have called for emergency service and the lead maintenance man smelled heavily of alcohol he was extremely rude. Stay as far away from this place as possible.

Very sorry for your experience. If you still reside at The Lodge, please be assured that we have new management and the owners are very hands on and run a family operation that really understands the value of customer service. Brand new maintenance and management are in place to assure that no one will have that kind of experience again.
I have lived here for 2 and a half yrs and am very pleased w/ the consistent quality of upkeep and repair of my unit and the property as a whole. There has been quick response to the few times I requested repairs. During this last harsh winter I always saw the staff shoveling and salting the walkways. The parking lot was always clear of show. The office staff has always made me feel welcomed to my presence and understanding to my quaint concerns. This service along w/ the beautiful apartment I rent is a value I have rarely come across before. All this at a monthly cost well below the other properties in town. There is also a good sense of community here. The other residents are friendly and respectful. We are a short walk from a Gym, Bowling, Dollar store and gas station. Krogers is a mile away along w/ a Hospital. All this says 5 star rating to me.
