I’ve been here 3 years and love it. I feel safe walking around the community at night, the management is friendly and responsive, the neighbors are respectful, the grounds are nicely kept. The buildings are relatively new with granite counter tops, brushed aluminum fixtures and tons of storage.
Ever since the ownership changed last year, there's been more dog poop everywhere. The previous ownership had PooPrints and would fine residents if needed. It kept the landscaping clean and likable. Aside from that, do not use command strips on the wall! It will take off the paint! The walls are pretty thin too. You can hear people walk and sometimes talk. I wish the refrigerators were upgraded to the ones that you can drink water from.

Very deceitful and dishonest. Paid all fees and security deposit in April 2021 for a 3-bedroom. Set up utilities and stayed in communication with the property company. Two weeks before the actual move-in date (3 months later), I was sent an email stating that the current tenant decided NOT to move and that we were out of luck. I was advised that someone would call me with "options". The option that they were referring to was to take my security deposit and leave. Spoke to the regional manager and was told that they "do it all the time" and "that's the chance you take when you rent an apartment".
We moved in when it was brand new and still being built. It was nice then. The second year has been a drastic change from last year. The chain smokers are prolific and it has gotten very unsafe and vandalized in the common areas. Monster trucks with party lights cruise the parking lots. There was a complete staff change from when we moved in. Tenants are dangerous and unstable. Lots of alcoholics. They are not doing a very good job of being careful who moves in. Pot smokers smoke freely all over the place. They are choosing to rent to 18 year oldish kids who can't handle the responsibility. There are cars driving thru the grass in the back yard and around the building like daytona beach. If you complain about anything then they tell you that you can leave and break lease but they will never deal with the people causing issues. Why loose solid tenants and keep trouble makers? Clearly They don't care. Don't bother calling the management company. They dont care either. So sad at what it has become so quickly.
This has been hell for us living here... People downstairs live to complain about us walking ECT upstairs...well ... Keep in mind my kids go to school, we work and kids is in bed by 7:30! But yet they say they hear us constantly! We hear the same thing upstairs!! But we getting kicked out...because our neighbors down stairs loves to complain!! If you want to live in a quite, peaceful environment rent a home ?? thank God we moving...but next lot of people moving in our space... Problem would not be resolve for the neighbors down stairs! Good luck neighbors! Your problems won't be solving!
If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. Their idea of providing excellent customer service is telling you what you want to hear and never following through. The office and management team are better suited for jobs that don't require interaction with the public. If you pay your rent on time , and follow the rules laid out before you and expect to be protected by those said rules; forget it. The apartments are cheaply constructed and my punch list of things to be completed in my apartment are sitting on my desk ,months later. Which means I still have paint , spackle and and adhesive on my rugs and floors. None of the doors are cut right and are 2 inches higher than the floor. The photos on line are deceiving , as there is no lake access from here, there's is also no cell phone service in your apartment, so I hope everyone you converse with can text. The only good thing , I can say is that I never hear my neighbors on either side of me but I can hear every move my neighbor above me makes. Her kids daily meltdowns, her stomping across the floor , opening the cabinets, closing the door . moving furniture etc. I know these are things that can be said about apartment life but the noise above me is extreme. That's when the yes management team comes into play. Yes we will take care of it, (they never take care of it ) . Yes we will keep you updated , (we have to contact them always) . It must be nice to leave your job at the end of the day , go home and relax , I can never do this as my apartment defends the ones that break all the rules , pertaining to noise . In the end Lodges at Lake Wylie is the equivalent of a cheap roadside motel masquerading as a 4 star resort on the lake.
Beautiful new apartments! Like the best for the price. The only downfall is the cheap construction! If you want nice apartment with no privacy or piece and quiet, then this is the place. The walls are paper thin ??. I can literally ?? my next door neighbors conversations, flushing the toilet, soap falling in the shower (their shower is adjacent to mines), and ppl having conversations outside there doors (non shouting voices). It’s annoying and tiresome when you’ve had a long day a work and all you want to do is relax n put your feet up for a few. I kinda regret moving here, but the model was nice, the staff was friendly, and I was tired of searching at that point. If I could do it all over again I would have chosen elsewhere. Note to self..never rush and regret ?? Pros:new, close location to Cons: noisy, long commute to entertainment, mall, and fun activities in Charlotte, poor construction ??
I do not even know where to start!! I have been in contact with Monty for a few months now and he is beyond wonderful!! Back in August when we were looking for apartments he took the time to text us and send us videos of the progress of the construction. This was so sweet of him!! He took the time over several occasions to actually message us the progress!! He is very knowledgeable and sweet! The apartments look wonderful and we are saddened that our plans and life did not allow us to move into these amazing apartments who have an amazing assistant manager such as Monty! Monty even volunteered his time to call our sons possible school to vouch that we were in fact moving and had signed a lease!! You do not come across such amazing folks like this all the time!! He is a wonderful human being to say the least and the apartments and location are amazing!! The apartments themselves are so beautiful!!
