Beacon is a small city on the east bank of the Hudson River, positioned about fifteen miles south of Poughkeepsie and sixty miles north of New York City. Mostly filled by charming suburban neighborhoods, the city’s thriving Main Street is packed with a vibrant assortment of cafes, specialty shops, art galleries, watering holes, and historic landmarks. Grab your morning caffeine fix at Bank Square Coffeehouse, sample the local beers at Hudson Valley brewery, or catch a live band at Max’s On Main.
The area includes several convenient options for folks who like to spend a lot of time outside, from the Southern Dutchess Country Club to the scenic Long Dock Park on the river to the sprawling Hudson Highlands nature preserve just south of town. Rail service by the MTA Hudson line makes it easy to get down into the city or farther Upstate, and direct access to Interstate 84 puts the entire region at your fingertips.

Property Ratings at The Lofts at Beacon
Great lofts. Great community. Great location in the Hudson Valley. Close to Metro North. Living in nature not the noise of the city. And great neighbors
Been a resident of the Lofts for over 6 years, seen many changes to both the interior and exterior of the buildings with great anticipation of a better experience...unfortunately, the main issues still persist, the mail room and the garbage facilities. It appears that both these issues have had band-aid repairs and still leave much room for improvement...the move of the garbage containers to the far end is far from a solution, only moving further the inadequate amount of containers required as indicated on any Sunday morning with over flowing garbage and recycling from its containers...the mailroom has greatly improved but it is still a nightmare to navigate as no one from the staff is responsible for any of the organization of the packages and the elimination of a trash container for junk mail is ridiculous... The overall experience of living at the lofts is one of being involved in a creative and ever changing environment..
Staff is excellent and good people. The building is well maintained but it’s old so you will hear everything! If you get aloud neighbor like I did you won’t be very happy. That has to be the biggest complaint of mine. The walls are extremely thin and the sound travels.
Very unique community with amazing living spaces and amenities. Very pet friendly. Well equipped gym equipment included. Great location in the Hudson Valley
